I was like the MC when I went through middle school. Answered questions quickly and getting A on tests. Had better educational TV back in the 90s. It's sad when standard TV programs offer better and more entertaining education then Teachers at public schools. The real "trick" into learning is keeping the students you're teaching entertained to what you're teaching. When something is boring what do u do? Imagine something entertaining. People tend to ignore or block out things that are uninteresting. It's just a fact. Also not everyone can assimilate information the exact same way. Can u use the exact same computer software on EVERY computer in the world and hav no issues? It's the same thing.

Reminds me of high school. I hardly paid attention in class and only did homework when it would be graded and still got straight A's. I'm not sure why, but things just made sense to me, and I had an easy time memorizing facts for classes like history and English.
It really annoyed my girlfriend, but she forgave me when I helped her with homework and test preparation!

Yumiko was hell bent on proving that Yuto cheated. Tbh she should have left him alone after he got a perfect score on the 2 tests and try to help other students who are not good at taking tests. Yuto’s attitude was also a fact which made Yumiko even more hell bent on proving he cheated. I kinda feel like the love confession was rushed. I wonder if they became a couple in the end. Overall great story

What a touchung story, loved how she finally beat him seen it coming but it was soo gud still
The confession really comes out of nowhere, dont feel build up and dont offer any more insight into the character of he teacher, making her feel very flat as a chaaracter for how litte the story centers on her feelings in what is supose to a love story.
The male is undestanble and feels like he hsould have is plot extende to talk about his point of view in study and lack of interest on showing his skills.
I know that I dint still watch this and I know that this is gonna be lit

The random love confession at the end kinda killed the mood cause I would’ve thought that the teacher would have to hots for the dude right when he said she was beautiful. Instead the story took an Academic route in which I guess education is serious af in Japan. Here in the USA you can be a Ex crackhead with absolute 0 education and still somehow get rich.

This was really cute and sweet, Yuto and Yumiko make for a nice couple. I really liked this, thus was good.

I have mixed feelings about this one. I think the story is good, but, the confession at the end felt like it was rushed, and the only thing it achieved was that it was a question that MC couldn't answer. Still not that bad.
What bothers me more is the teacher's behaviour. Maybe it's cuz she is a young teacher, but, why take it so personally? In one's life, we will always encounter some people who are way, way smarter than us.
Trying to deliberately set up questions just to prove that she is better than him seems....immature? Especially for a teacher, who is supposed to be the one guiding the students on the right path.
Adding to that, she gave so much attention to him, a smart student. It was understandable in the beginning, as she didn't know how good he was. But, after 2 tests, she should have realized, and she should have devoted her time helping students who actually needed help. This kinda felt like favoritism, if that is the right word.
I was a relatively weaker student in school, and, it always bothered me that the intelligent students in my class were given additional preparation questions and tests and guidance, while the teachers didn't have time to help weaker students like me out, outside of school hours.
I know all teachers are not like this, but, I hope more teachers can understand who needs more help/guidance, and which students can do it on their own after receiving a gentle push.
You make valid points. I myself was a weak student in school and some of my teachers didn’t even bother to help me because they thought I was a failure and didn’t know anything. I remember one of my teachers embarrassed me infront of the whole class and most of my classmates looked down on me and made fun of me. I’m currently 21 and living in the states and I can say that I’ve transitioned from a weak student to getting good grades in school. Currently in my final year of college and will be graduating next year
@@flemingbudubiney2936 Damn. That's rough. In front of the whole class...yikes. my teacher didn't call my name out, but, he called out my scores, which were single digits at that time out of 100. I managed to clear school, fortunately, and it's been a good life in bachelor's and master's for me.

Some teachers are just not fit to be teachers. Embarrassing someone in front of the class is the worst way to tell someone to get better. Unfortunately, there are teachers like this everywhere. Hopefully all of us can remember the good professors from school/college and do well in life.

My classmates were supportive of me when a similar situation had happened to me. I'm really really happy to hear you doing well in college. They will learn someday that how they treated you was wrong.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage that emotional and mental pressure in school? If I were in your place, I would have found it hard to go to class the next day. You are strong, and I admire that.
For some reason, i dont think she only gives attention to him, I think they only showed their POV. That part i can see especially when watching animes. Cuz if not, she wont bother helping him from the beginning if she doesnt care about her students, its either her students are not having any problem or she helps them but they do not show it here.
Yeap it may seem like that like she wants to prove herself, maybe at 1st like you said, at 1st or 2nd, she should have realized it but in my opinion , i think she already did, maybe this is just how they bonded or maybe Ms Takagi finds him interesting or maybe he is left out since he did say he'll be a loner at college, im assuming he was a loner here and Ms. Takagi is keeping him company and thats how they just bonded

I agree about the 2nd part of your first paragraph. But, the point that I brought was from the point she knew about him being good at studies. She spent the time preparing questions and tests that she could have easily spent on preparing notes for struggling students. She also made the MC wait and then let him take the test after classes were done. Idk about Japan, but, extra classes are kinda common in some countries. So, again, the same time and effort could also have been devoted to other students in the form of extra classes. You are right in that just because it is not shown doesn't mean she isnt helping others. But, the tests that she was preparing were not ordinary tests. They were difficult tests that took hours to prepare. I would have appreciated a more "proportional" distribution of time and effort to all students.
She did prove herself, but, from the way the story progressed, it doesn't feel like she knew that she had. And, while it is nice that she was trying to offer company, idk if that is the only thing she could have done to keep him from being a loner.
But, why does she need to prove herself? A teacher is often regarded as a highly qualified professional. A teacher has the incredibly difficult task of guiding students coming from different background and financial and personal situations and with different levels of intellect. You are basically teaching kids who are gonna shape the future. The amount of responsibility that falls on a teacher's shoulders is no trivial thing. If anything, she should already be proud of being a teacher. I don't see what more she has to prove. She has already proven that she cares about her students and wants them to succeed.
To try and prepare tests in the hope of the MC not being able to answer them...it worked well here but it could have gone badly in another universe. That was my issue. My issue wasn't that she was trying to prove herself. Rather, it was the question of why it was needed in the first place.

I don't care how many people accuse me of lying, but throughout middle school, I was able to do something similar, like browse reddit, or read manga on my laptop, and I consistently got A's on my tests and quizzes

In highschool I did fairly well on most average subjects but when it came to math and more advanced stuff in everything they taught I began to struggle algebra was one of the hardest subjects I had to take to be honest I'm surprised I managed at all in it what with the 2xX24a-15b or possible other equations they provided it was so damn hard and irritating mainly cause the letters had different values every time they provided said equations

I can relate to the MC, I mean...in high school I was top of the class and still slept through my math and other periods. I don't usually know how, but sometimes I think it was from the auditory memory. Or I was processing faster? Heck knows? But in other words it is kind of relatable.

In my school, we are also graded for participation, raising our hands to answer questions and such, so during 7th or 8th grade, I started making an effort just to get bonus marks X3
It was also during this time I started making an effort to read as well since I skipped that during 2ed grade I think, reading manga and RPing on DA helped a lot, plus iPhones voice recorders too for words I couldn’t spell as well 😅
I seemed to all my classes for a period of 10 thi and I still pass is closed near the end of the 6th weeks, get up by 5 last week to do all your work for all the rest of time, you sleep and then go back, flip what I usually get done at all for days

Nah, that’s literally inhuman memory. Unless he has high IQ there’s just no way he can listen while dozing off and remember all of that.
I imagine it would be tough being that much smarter than anyone else around you. Even the teacher couldn't accept him being that smart. His classmates definitely would have targeted him for being that much smarter.
In addition to that, hanging out with people whose intelligence is nowhere near your level is aggravating at best. I've been around people a lot smarter than me, and I've been around people so dumb I didn't know how they managed put their clothes on in the morning. Neither group is enjoyable to be around.

I get why a teacher wouldn't want a student to sleep in their regardless of their grades. That's favoritism, you wouldn't do the same thing to a ace of the baseball team. It's disrupting the class if he's that good he should get home schooled or move to a better school. On the other hand not good to accuse a student of cheating with no real proof. Honestly think the ones where the boy is smart but he sleeps in class because he's poor and works hard after school and studying is the better scenario in this one he's just being rude but at least in that one he has good excuse.
