- At 7 min 18 sec, is the start of the first of two clips to show how well this foundation wears. The first clip is in the afternoon after a doctor's visit, lunch and shopping. The second clip immediately follows and was filmed just before my evening routine of removing makeup and preparing my skin before bedtime. Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup reigns supreme. It's by far the best foundation for the woman who has lines in her skin and the under eye area and who needs medium to full coverage to minimize dark age spots.
I have ultra dry skin that will peel if I don't take care of it. That's how dry it is. I've thought my skin would do better using a formula other than a powder. I've searched far and wide over the course of 4-5 years for a foundation that would not crease or cake in the lines and folds of my skin, and one that would provide medium to full coverage to hide age spots without looking like stage makeup. I wanted a foundation that would last all day without touch-ups and one that served a dual purpose....also as an under eye concealer. I've purchased dozens of products from well known brands, high end to drug store in every formula created.....from liquid to mousse to stick foundation. Every single product ended up caking in the creases of my aging skin. It's not an attractive look. I removed from my makeup bin my trusted friend, Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup and I've never looked back. I purchased the color Ivory for use as an under eye concealer. It works as beautifully as the Matte Beige I apply to the rest of my skin.

Or, purchase from your local department store as I did two weeks ago from Dillard's in Little Rock.

Man I wish you would have found a cruelty-free version of this. You would have totally had me sold. Clinics not cruelty free so I'm not going to be trying out that Foundation but it did look very very good! I would love to watch a skin care video of yours. I know I'm a newcomer but I do have very dry skin and I love watching what works for other people with dry skin. I love watching people with more mature skin to me too because if it doesn't crease on them it definitely won't crease on me. I'm already getting Fine Lines on my face so I would like to conceal that from people as long as possible LOL. If you wouldn't have told me at your age I would have totally guessed 50 at oldest. You look very good and I would love to know your skin care regimen. Maybe even a demonstration video. I'm so glad callmeLais did that video on that brush that you sent her. I would love to see if you could find a foundation that worked as good as this one that is cruelty free also. We have the same amount of subscribers at this moment. You said you was from the south where from? I only ask because I'm from the south to. I'm in Alabama. I understand that you want to find a company that does not test on animals. It would be nice if all companies followed that practice. As a skin care and cosmetics researcher of many years, I've come to learn that companies who claim they are cruelty free have "plausible deniability". Instead of testing in their own labs, they instead enlist labs in China and other countries who do test on animals.

I do like the powder over my makeup. I use very little. I’ve used it for years. I wear sunscreen everyday because I’m so fair. Thanks for telling me what lipstick you wear. I did hear it on the video but did not recognize the brand at all. That’s why I asked. I’m looking for a different makeup. I’m 65- and feel like I need a new look. I’ve tried many other brands but just can’t seem to find one I’m crazy about. My favorite was Clinique super moisture. Loved it, but of course they discontinued it ! Have been hunting for 3 years now for a really good one.

I’m 55. I bought this. It looks like a cakey mess on me. I made sure I exfoliated, used a water based moisturizer, and primer that doesn’t contain oil. I soooooo wanted this to work for me.
I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I’ve asked you a couple of questions and have other information and a video to watch that I created. I’m hoping this will make a difference. Please let me know.
Qs:What's your skin type? What do you use to apply the foundation (brush, sponge?)
I highly recommend you stop exfoliating and using a primer. Give your skin a rest from these products for a week. Then, before applying this powder foundation, only use your skin care products, giving them time to fully absorb. After that, see how the foundation looks after application. If you’re using a brush and it cakes then try using a beauty blender to see if that makes a difference.
My Story: Years ago when I STOPPED exfoliating, with granules and other abrasives, the difference in the texture of my skin was as different as night and day. I saw the opposite result. My skin turned from a flaking, peeling mess to soft, smooth and flake free (credit to CeraVe as well).
The vast majority of dermatologists and the AAD, do not support using these products. They strip our skin of sebum, a protective layer of oil, secreted from the sebaceous glands, to keep our skin soft and smooth. It's also acts as a barrier, protecting the skin from the ills of the environment.
I also don't use Primer. Many contain silicone and other ingredients that prevent the nourishing sebum and the skincare products just applied, from fully doing their job (e.g. humectants can’t draw in moisture from the air to maintain hydration).

I hope my suggestions of not exfoliating and using primer work for you. If they don't then I hope you can return the Clinique product for a full refund.

The 7th Decade that’s SO kind of you, to take time from your busy day to personally respond to me and to try and help; thank you! My skin is dry. I used a brush, then patted it with a sponge. I’ll definitely try this without any primer as you recommend. I’m hopeful that may have been the problem... As for the exfoliating; I believe something that works great for some people doesn’t work for others. For my particular skin, exfoliating is holy grail. I exfoliate twice per week. It leaves my skin as soft and smooth as a baby’s. It sounds like your particular skin doesn’t respond well to exfoliation. Thank you so much, I love your videos. E B I’m so glad to hear back from you. Yes! Every persons skin is different. The products, order of use, how often used can make a difference....even where a person lives and the climate. Hey, I just got to explore this foundation at Ulta a few days ago. It's nice. And I'm with you on not buying the hype over undereye products that just do not work. My under eye skin is very crapy, loose, wrinkled. There is no miracle product to "fix" that. So you know what, I EMBRACE my imperfection. When I smile, the creases are there. When I apply makeup, it's NOT going to make that area look flawless (or even better, necessarily). I'm going to focus on all the OTHER positives, and just accept my flawed skin. Absolutely! Just let the moisturizer (I wrote "foundation" originally) absorb into the skin before using the Clinique product. Buy it from a place like Sephora where you can return it even if you've used it. I get emails like you wouldn't believe from women and a couple of men who are so happy with this foundation. But....I've had a couple that it didn't work for them. Everyone's skin is different. I hope you try it and if you do, please let me know your thoughts. Thanks for writing Kathy. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Although I'm only in my 30's I have major forehead wrinkles and smile lines. But I have finally came up with a technique and products that for the most part I'm happy with. But I'm definitely gonna try this product, it will be less steps and products on my face every morning. Great video! I have this powder ,but use it over my Clinique liquid makeup. Will try this. But, what do you do about sunscreen ?
I only use sunscreen when I know I'm going to be out and about. I use Neutrogena for face and I do one of two things. I will use it by itself or my preference: squeeze a little into my moisturizer. The powder foundation I just can't get away from because it doesn't sink into lines. It's amazing! Are you happy with the results using this product as a setting powder over liquid foundation? I used to use powder foundation when I was younger since my skin was oilier but now I am afraid of powder foundation. If I use it I will only use it after I used my It CC cream. Hello Marta! My skin is dry as the desert. Not even kidding. My forehead peeled it was so bad thanks to exfoliating my skin with harsh products. I'll create a video of my skin care routine and how I got my skin back into shape. This foundation goes on beautifully. Just make sure your skin is well moisturized. If you order it from Sephora , as of today, even after use they will allow a return for a full refund. Check their website or the store if there's one near you to make sure about the return policy. Last I looked, Ulta had the same policy too.

The light in the ceiling? It's a small Chandelier, about 14" long. There's a soaking tub under it. I think we bought that one at Home Depot in 2015. Last year, someone on a forum asked about the light and it was still available for sale but which store they bought it, I don't know.

What do you apply prior to the powder foundation. I.e. moisturizer or primer. Is it good to use with combo slightly oily skin?
I don't use primers. I use a moisturizer and let it absorb and do its magic for 15 minutes if possible. I know I can always use a sponge or tissue to blot any excess. Be sure to buy this from a place like Sephora that will allow you to return it after you've used it, in case it doesn't work for you. If you don't secrete a lot of sebum where you have to blot your skin occasionally, you might be able to wear this. You just have to try it and see how it works for you. Love this foundation,like you just apply over moisturiser. I use the included sponge or the clinique powder foundation brush. Carol what do you think of clinique almost powder makeup? I wish clinique still sold their compacts in their square green compacts.
I just bought the almost powder makeup today. Do you like it? I have been watching RUclips videos on how to apply it.
@@jackieburfield8564 Yes, love the almost powder especially during the summer,love both. I enjoy using the double powder during colder months,they are excellent powders that cover well. I do find the almost powder covers more though for some reason, maybe the included minerals. I am 52 and find both powders excellent. I just apply the powders dry with the included sponge mostly but i do have the clinique powder foundation brush if i want a lighter touch.

Clinique Superpowder Double Face Makeup for mature skin is by far the best foundation I've ever used. The last minute or two of this video is me showing the results of wearing the foundation at mid day then again just before removing my makeup in the evening. I only apply a CeraVe moisturizer for ultra dry skin. I don't use a primer or anything else. If you use oils before and the primer being the last to go on your skin, you could try it and see if it works for you. Sephora and Ulta will take it back even after use. It's about $26. If you decide to use it, let me know your thoughts. I'd especially like to know if I can recommend it over a primer.
