I just bought the almost powder makeup today. Do you like it? I have been watching RUclips videos on how to apply it.

@@jackieburfield8564 Yes, love the almost powder especially during the summer,love both. I enjoy using the double powder during colder months,they are excellent powders that cover well. I do find the almost powder covers more though for some reason, maybe the included minerals. I am 52 and find both powders excellent. I just apply the powders dry with the included sponge mostly but i do have the clinique powder foundation brush if i want a lighter touch.

I decided to try Bare Minerals again. It was not an attractive look. As before, it was visible in the creases of my skin. 😌 Liquid foundation doesn’t work for me either. I'm sorry it didn't work for you. I’ve asked you a couple of questions and have other information and a video to watch that I created. I’m hoping this will make a difference. Please let me know. Qs:What's your skin type? What do you use to apply the foundation (brush, sponge?) I highly recommend you stop exfoliating and using a primer. Give your skin a rest from these products for a week. Then, before applying this powder foundation, only use your skin care products, giving them time to fully absorb. After that, see how the foundation looks after application. If you’re using a brush and it cakes then try using a beauty blender to see if that makes a difference. My Story: Years ago when I STOPPED exfoliating, with granules and other abrasives, the difference in the texture of my skin was as different as night and day. I saw the opposite result. My skin turned from a flaking, peeling mess to soft, smooth and flake free (credit to CeraVe as well). The vast majority of dermatologists and the AAD, do not support using these products. They strip our skin of sebum, a protective layer of oil, secreted from the sebaceous glands, to keep our skin soft and smooth. It's also acts as a barrier, protecting the skin from the ills of the environment. I also don't use Primer. Many contain silicone and other ingredients that prevent the nourishing sebum and the skincare products just applied, from fully doing their job (e.g. humectants can’t draw in moisture from the air to maintain hydration). If they don't then I hope you can return the Clinique product for a full refund. The 7th Decade that’s SO kind of you, to take time from your busy day to personally respond to me and to try and help; thank you! My skin is dry. I used a brush, then patted it with a sponge. I’ll definitely try this without any primer as you recommend. I’m hopeful that may have been the problem... As for the exfoliating; I believe something that works great for some people doesn’t work for others. For my particular skin, exfoliating is holy grail. I exfoliate twice per week. It leaves my skin as soft and smooth as a baby’s. It sounds like your particular skin doesn’t respond well to exfoliation. Thank you so much, I love your videos. E B I’m so glad to hear back from you. Yes! Every persons skin is different. The products, order of use, how often used can make a difference....even where a person lives and the climate. I hope you’re able to use this Clinique product. If u watched the vid to the end, you’ll see the wear after 8 then 12 hours. It’s amazing. You may not realize but hearing that you like the few vids I’ve done, encourage me to come back to RUclips. I’ve hesitated but you and others inspire me to return. Thank you. Hello Shari! Thanks so much for your question. I haven't tried the product you mentioned. Last September, I ordered "Clinique Blended Face Powder" in Natural. It was way too yellow and the powder settled into my lines. That's the issue for those of us who have visible lines. It's also the reason I can't recommend highly enough the Clinique Super Double Powder. It just doesn't sink into the lines of the skin. Let me know what you decide to buy and how it worked for you. The "Almost Powder" foundation may give you the look you want. If not and you buy from from Sephora, you can return it, even after use. Thanks for the compliment Shari. I have to give my mom's side of the family some credit for passing on good genes but also, the skin care plans I've created and used consistently from my mid thirties to now at nearly 71 years of age. Kanela you need ceramides. The skin barrier holds moisture in the skin. When it’s damaged it can’t do its job. When we see peeling and flaking we know the skin barrier is broken. Exfoliate first. I have a video here to show how to remove flaking skin with just a cloth and your cleanser. I believe in this video I explain my entire skincare routine. Give it a try. I only use sunscreen when I know I'm going to be out and about. I use Neutrogena for face and I do one of two things. I will use it by itself or my preference: squeeze a little into my moisturizer. The powder foundation I just can't get away from because it doesn't sink into lines. It's amazing! Are you happy with the results using this product as a setting powder over liquid foundation? Hello Marta! My skin is dry as the desert. Not even kidding. My forehead peeled it was so bad thanks to exfoliating my skin with harsh products. I'll create a video of my skin care routine and how I got my skin back into shape. This foundation goes on beautifully. Just make sure your skin is well moisturized. If you order it from Sephora , as of today, even after use they will allow a return for a full refund. Check their website or the store if there's one near you to make sure about the return policy. Last I looked, Ulta had the same policy too. Thank you so much for the encouragement to come back to RUclips. I appreciate hearing that more than you know. I had planned to film last week but I got an infection like a stye next to my tear duct. Never had one before but it's finally healed. I'll be back in front of the camera very soon. The light in the ceiling? It's a small Chandelier, about 14" long. There's a soaking tub under it. I think we bought that one at Home Depot in 2015. I understand that you want to find a company that does not test on animals. It would be nice if all companies followed that practice. As a skin care and cosmetics researcher of many years, I've come to learn that companies who claim they are cruelty free have "plausible deniability". Instead of testing in their own labs, they instead enlist labs in China and other countries who do test on animals. Thank you for the compliment. It's so nice to hear you think I look 50 or so. I love MUF products but their powder foundation creased like a pair of new linen pants. No one does it better than Clinique. I'm not sure what else you asked. I'll review later, answer and tag you. Yes, I'd love to make more vids and am now looking at Fall. A series of circumstances (surgery for one), has kept me away. I'm a tough cookie but my soft spot is the vulnerability on camera. I was criticized by one YT member who was a "friend" who said that I didn't sound genuine and I don't come across well. It was discouraging and shook my confidence. I appreciate you taking time to write Lauren. I'll be back in about a month to review my channel. In the meantime, I receive notices when great gals like you take time to write. Carol xoxo
