In today's video we are working in our laundry room of our 1988 Palm Harbor 14 x 70 single wide mobile home. We demolish the entire room and walls in preparation of repairing the floor, rebuilding the walls, and making it all better. Let's go!

This is a smart move! While you're not IN the home is the time to renovate and make the changes you want! When Angela said in the intro you were working on the laundry room, the first word that popped into my head was STACKABLES! The second word was PANTRY! It's like y'all peeked into my head!
Not being in the home is rough, but not being in the home is great for renovations!! :)
@@GreenAcreHomestead how's camper life treating you guys so far? We broke down and ordered a 10x16 tiny house/ shed with a little front porch and two lofts for storage for my 16 year old to have some privacy. It also gives us a place to put our large refrigerator and washer/dryer set up temporarily to keep our sanity. He can have his desk and his computer set up, a hammock on the front porch and I may even pick up a cheap futon. In case one of his friends wants to visit.

I was thinking the whole time, stackable washer and dryer set would save a ton if space, then said "yes!" When you said it. I am really excited to see how this turns out, I think it will be awesome!

After he said they wouldn’t lol. One thing always lead to another and sometimes is just the right thing and the right time.
I call it the begets. You paint the walls the you begettin new drapes then new furniture and so on throughout the house.

Good morning Ally! You soooooo got this!! The 1st DIY I took on in my mobile home, 30 years ago,(I was 27) was tearing out all the lower kitchen cabinets. Back in the day, plywood was cheap, cabinets were not, so I got some 2×4's and plywood, a sheet of countertop and glue, reused the drawers and doors of my old cabinets and painted it all white. Didn't have a clue what I was doing but I knew I was taking out the rotten cabinets! My sons were 2 and 10. It turned out great!! GO FOR IT!! Keep us updated!

I learned a sad but valuable lesson about stackables. Make sure they can be separated in case one breaks down. The ones I had couldn't be separated and that was a problem when the washing machine quit working. Turned out to be cheaper to buy a used washer than repair it. Then the problem was finding space for the new one. Just wanted to offer up my own experience. Enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing 💕

My friend did something similar. Tore apart a mobile home and is completely rebuilding it to his likes. This way you each have a custom home that works for your family. Great 👍 job. Love seeing you two ❤️

I live in a 1985 single wide 2 bedroom mobile home that I absolutely love. My hope is to move it onto a secluded piece of ground soon.

From what I have heard over time, people typically don't end up liking stackable washer/dryers. If you have the ceiling height you might consider a front load washer and dryer and stack them. Just food for thought. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

That was fun to watch. I was remembering when you put the cabinet in and that old wallpaper. We just have paneling so no wallpaper. When I decided to have a washer and dryer, we put the washer in the closet of the bathroom. The dryer is out on the sun porch where it is vented. Works for me! 💗

Those boys are having fun with your new home and property!! My mobile had a laundry room. The bathroom was on one side of the hallway and the laundry room on the other. There was a place for the furnace and an upright freezer in the laundry room on the opposite wall of the appliances. I loved having a laundry room. Your house is sure coming together!! You are going to love your new space!!
