As a McCoy descendant, I love McCoy pottery! I inherited so many pieces from my relatives. Such great collector items! 😊
My absolute favorite thrifting find was an old mathematics book made in 1800! I put it in my old secretary 😊

Good morning, don’t you just love finding beautiful things that make your home feel so warm & cozy. There is just something special about knowing that someone before you used those old cook books to make meals or special treats for their family. Each piece has its own story. I always think were these dishes a wedding gift or how many children ate from these plates. I enjoying knowing that these things were enjoyed and treasured by others. So many wonderful finds!!! ! Those vintage books are amazing!! I found a couple myself recently at our local flea market for just $1. My husband asked what I was going to do with them and I told him I’m going to decorate with them like Maranda from RUclips does!! 😂 I have gotten so many neat decorating ideas from your videos. You have inspired me to redecorate my entire home!!😊 Bring on the yard sales!!!!

I love all the treasures you found.
When I met my husband he had a whole house full of McCoy his wife that died collected it. We sold a lot of it when we had our store and then auctioned some off.
I still have some left.
I just love all the soft greens and pinks and blues for spring.

Everything is perfect for springtime! Loved the books also. I buy tons of books...I have books all over my house. And I can never stop wanting to buy more. Your collection looks good on the counter next to the vintage scale.

Miranda, what great fine I think my favorite is probably the first framed print with a beautiful frame and the beautiful picture and I love those baskets. They remind me of the Easter baskets I had as a child.

Hi Maranda. Your enthusiasm over each purchase is so refreshing. So many young adults are not interested in thrifting or collecting older pieces. I have three kids in their forties and their taste is totally different than mine. Which is ok I guess but a little bit disheartening. My mother loved rooster and hens in her chicken and I love them in mine. Of course in all fairness to my kids, I grew up in the country, they grew up in the city. I hope we will always have books to read at least while I'm stilling living. I just love the look and feel of opening a book and turning the pages. Maranda, you are just so sweet. I appreciate your style you are creating for your home and being PATIENT and gradually picking out your purchases. I definitely liked and subscribed to your channel. Can't wait for each new visit. That’s just all I saw growing up and spent time in old country homes so that’s what feels cozy and nostalgic to me! Maybe one day, in time, they will cherish some of your pieces that you love ♥️

My mother's cook book was the American Woman's Cookbook given to her by her mother on her wedding day. That was in 1948. I have it but not in as good of shape. She cooked many a recipe from that book. Sweet memories. I know you will enjoy it.

Yes, I started decorating in cottagecore/ country cottage style back in 2019/2020 but this past year I’ve been stuck in a rut with decorating and I was not feeling inspired in our space. Thankfully I’m out of that now and have found my passion for decorating and creating spaces again so I’m coming back into my true style. I’m sad I lost hold of that last year but I think I had to go through that to fall in love with my passions again. Thank you for being here ♥️

You're welcome. If it's a dinner plate, I see one on Replacements, Ltd. for $59.99. If it's an old one made in England it's probably valuable because they started making them in China for a while.

I would love to take a field trip to your area to go to all these thrift store, and shops you find all these amazing things in!!
I think the key is really going to rural places! Pieces just like this are covering all our thrift shops because the county folks of older generations around here are now passing down their heirlooms or getting rid of items for various reasons but these are the items that has always filled their country homes here in rural Kentucky so that’s why I see so many old pieces I feel like. Try to find small country towns and I swear that’s where the best finds are! Anytime I go to a much bigger city I do not hardly see any antiques and if so they are way out of my price range! So try that if you are able to, I hope that helps! ♥️

You really hit a big Haul ; we don’t have a Goodwill Store in our area. I worked at a used bookstore for 5 years . I do still go there and look for Coffe Table books on Decorating & Art.

Today I purchased Three milk glass Reticulated Plates with fruit on them. I was looking for plates for a wrought iron plate decore. Also I found four small bird plates for my living room wall hanger. My theme is Tuscan , English , And Normandy style. I liked your lovely Pottery, Very Pretty. You seem like a gentle soul; thus the style you are drawn too.
