A few weeks ago, they had a couple of bottles of A122 at the Heaven Hill Experience just sitting behind the counter about a half hour before closing (~$80). Larceny BP was also sitting out, about 6-8 bottles. Haven't popped my bottle yet; waiting to celebrate my graduation.

I have yet to have an ECBP I do not love. I just bought A122 for $64.99! I also picked up a 9 year ECBP private selection for $69.99. I cannot wait to blind them with some buddies. Cheers!

B520 is my favorite so far. I have yet to see A122 though.

You talked me into getting it. It's still $60 before tax here, which is a crazy value.
I probably have enough ECBP, and I really enjoyed B521 (it blinded really well for me). But you had to compare this to William Heavenhill BiB. The 13 year I tasted of that in 2015 remains one of my favorite pours ever. That sold me.

Thanks Brian for the review, really like your descriptive tasting notes.
Due to the mixed reviews and low proof I’ve skipped buying ECBP since C920. I can still find B520 nearby so just been buying those over and over. I hear better things about the 9 yr Sibs so if I buy an EC again other than B520 it’s probably gonna be one of those, unless ECBP goes back to 126+ proof and nothing but stellar reviews.

And honestly I agree with your assessment. I’ve picked up a myriad of 8-11 year picks that I would put above the batches lately. More interesting too.

Another hitter review, Brian. I completely agree with all of your notes. I find it interesting that other reviewers have compared A122 to B520. This batch is definitely a step up from last year’s (albeit, I enjoyed those greatly). But the A122 has a great mouth feel and with awesome brown sugar and caramel notes. ECBP batches and Private barrels are the best value in bourbon without question.

Love the A122!! C919 is still my favorite.

I had the C21 (or whatever it was) compared this A122 back to back, the A122 was miles better. Much sweeter and more balanced. The C21 had too much bitter oak

Hi Brian. Great review and love the contrast with B520, my favorite batch. Gonna have to pick this up with a blind comparison in mind. Thanks again!

I regret passing on the only one I have seen at $89.95. I bought the C121 at the same store for $79.95 so I was pissed they raised the next batch by $10. Oh well, 🥃!

I’m a big fan of this release. I enjoyed the ECBP 21’s but this one is a cut above.

I’m normally a fan of the C batches. My favorite was C917 I believe but I haven’t disliked any C batch that I’ve had.
A120 was terrible for me and still just tastes like fire. These recent lower proof batches of ECBP have been really good in my opinion.

@@abandonbourbon absolutely will. I ran by the store yesterday and it was gone. I’ll have to go back in when the manager is there to see if they have one stashed for me. Sometimes he takes care of me like that.
