Kid's shows had big budgets back then with practical stunts. And Knight Rider turned out to be a family dinner tv event. All age groups loved it. "Iron Man" now sparks the imagination for a flying suit. KITT then sparked the idea of a self driving car that talks. We are ...almost there in that department.
A million miles away from it. Computers are too stupid to even attempt it. Ask your computer for something specific and see how long it takes to actually get it. @@HeavenlyWarrior They can drive themselves, the problem is that they are more likely to crash than a dude on a cell phone that just got dropped by their girlfriend.
LOL at the video cutting to the outro but you still hear the cuffs clicking. This was one of my favorite episodes I could not stand that sheriff though.
The sheriff was being hard headed, didn't want any trouble with the biker gang so he let them do what they wanted and didn't want to listen to Michael but eventually came to his senses after realizing the biker gang was there to start a gang war with another biker gang that was coming to the town.
Another memorable scene from this show. And on one occasion, the word "stingee" made me hit the floor laughing. And it all too often amazes and amuses me to see the reactions of people when they find out about KITT, especially in this episode.
Women watched the show because of Hasselhoff. Men watch it because of KITT, perfectly voiced by William Daniels. Also Don Stroud who plays the head biker is a very underrated actor.
Boy are you wrong! I’m a girl, and I definitely watched it for KITT! And KITT’s personality! H is nice, but he can’t compare to the car! When it comes to heroes, I prefer (New World) Zorro.
@@Regina_Landry You know my comment was meant to be a joke. Guess it's hard to tell online. Cars are a guy thing so that's why it's a joke. I'm straight so I don't find Hasselhoff attractive.

That biker guy was so funny!!!! He wasn't going to take KITT for around the block...he was gonna steal IT.......but then KITT would just take over control and bring the biker guy to the sherrif's then return to Michael!!!

I have a broken switchblade just like that one. Anyone know where I can get one that works just like that one? Plastic handle, metal end caps, single edge blade and one button to open and close the blade (that is the important part). And its large. Probably 11-12 inches when open. Yes I can buy much better ones, but I'm looking for this model. The blade type is called a "Swing guard"
One very tough car that hasn't even create a dent on the chassis. I wonder what kind of props those bikers used in the movie set, one funny part the bikers don't target are the windows, it'll ruin the episode.
That's because he did, he was afraid of the biker gang so he put Michael in jail instead and let them do whatever they wanted to in order to keep the peace but eventually he came around when he founded out that the biker gang was there waiting on another biker gang that was in route to the town to start a war with.
I recall seeing her in another episode from the second season. It featured diving scenes and guest-starred the late Guy Stockwell (who appeared in a third-season episode).
I like how one sheriff shows up and Michael gets out thinking "I'm safe now!" 😂
hello, sheriff
Are you new here? Not going to happen .
2023 and the police are still doing this.
The irony of the sheriff putting the cuffs on him as he goes to shake his hand and then the narrator saying "one man can make a difference"! 😂
So the cop was playing the side of the coin. I wonder why he wasn't arrested in the end and Michael just let him take control of the town. Crazy.
The irony is that tugging on the door handle of a Pontiac like that would have totally wrecked the door latch.
I like how the one guy manages to somehow wrap the chain around his own neck

Yeah while this was primarily aimed at kids, it never pandered to them or treated them like kids. So adults could enjoy it too.
