Great design! Although... it wasn't designed for 20mm rods or tubes... so i've modified some of the clamps and buttstocks. I've posted them as remakes on Thingiverse.
Hey that's an awesome build for the gun stock. The protube is to expensive for what it does. I have a Quest and a cheaper alternative in my opinion would always be just as good. I'm looking to build my own. Good job 👍😎
Printing this right now. Had to mod the extension tube file to accept 19mm rod I needed extension as I couldn't find a long enough dowel rod locally and I got long arms.

do you like the oculus quest? I have the rift s and was wondering if no cables is better and how are the tracking and clarity of the oculus quest. im a big pavlov fan but hate getting tangle up in the cable of the rift s
That's a tricky question... Quest games have less quality than PC ones, catalogue is pretty short right now and you have no cable but you have 2 hours battery life (you can use external battery which can easily act as counterweight, which is great). But all in all Quest experience is below PC experience about graphics. BUT next november (pretty soon) Oculus will release a beta for thetered usage of the Quest and a dedicated fiber optic cable late this year to have the best experience... that means that PC games will run like a charm in the Quest, having the best of the two worlds, thetered and unthetered in the same devide. If you're using Rift S you already know tracking limitations of inside out tracking, but if you can keep with that... having complete playing freedom is in cre di ble. In my case I have little playing space and far from my computer (which is 6 years old so it can barely run VR games). Quest is the best solution for me to play anywhere. But the first time you play in a LARGE area... that's inmersion, and that's something you can't get with a thetered solution.
Looks great. Sadly I couldn't download this since thingiverse gives 404 when I try to download, but I found your pistol-only-grip and I'm going to try that first since it could be downloaded. I already tried some other grip for Oculus Quest and it was too big, I hope this will be better.
Is the right hand controller seat glued onto the rail?! I have printed it and it’s obviously free of the handle? Do I glue it? The reason I ask is that you can do it without but the grip is nice as a side are piece too.
Hi there! yes! glue it!! the idea is to have the right controller (dominant hand) attached to the "tube" and have the reloading hand free to throw grenades, reload or whatever action you need... It is a different concept from the double magnet stocks, but for me it works fast, it's simple and sturdy, and helps you to get a good muscle memory for your weapon, even when you have to shoot one handed. Grip is great for pistol only games like Arizona sunshine or pistol whip, I have additional grips for that sole purpose.
@@MarcosHidalgo perfect, I actually glued it last night and you are so right! It’s a great stock, I have the 15mm version printed and fits over a 16mm carbon fibre rod, I place a short piece of tubing inside before curing so it doesn’t stress it once it’s cured! It’s light and easy to use! Thanks for a great design, it prints so well on a resin printer.
@@StantonLuke I know I should create the grip in just one piece... but then it will not fit my 10x10x10cm fdm printer XD that's the only reason it has been made in two pieces. I made the stock for my personal use, but it actually is used all around the world and one of the best cheap, quick and easy solutions out there. Even if I can get a protube (I played enough hours to Contactor$ to really made a +100$ purchase affordable on the stock) I still prefer my solution, once you get used to the free left hand, you don't want anything different (imho)
All games have a good tolerance for the "hitbox" of the magwell... you get used to it pretty quickly. In fact, following a "normal" path for reloading rarely hits the tube
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Makes so much sense.
This is awesome (came here from thingiverse) and I'm going to print this out today.
I was playing gun club and bone works and this would be amazing.

Printing right Now. Thanks a lot
Thank you sir, i am printing one right now.
If it looked stupid but it worked, it's not stupid.

genial.muchas gracias
Awesome! Meta must buy your design and send you a yacht.
To be fair, they'll send me the STL files to print the yacht XD

I printed that pistol grip and it fits perfectly! This is definedly the best Oculus Quest grip in Thingiverse.
How long is that rod?
55cm
it is on the description :
www.thingiverse.com/thing:4632183
How to throw grenade?
honestly looks like more effort than its worth to use lol might give it a try if get time
I've been using pretty much the same design since Oculus Go, then Q1, now Q2... it is an effortless printing and it increases game inmersion by 500%

Or something to say thank you!
Jack Black?
How do you reload without hitting the stock?
All games have a good tolerance for the "hitbox" of the magwell... you get used to it pretty quickly. In fact, following a "normal" path for reloading rarely hits the tube
But then how do you quickly throw utility?
Left hand throw most likely , pick with left hand pull pin with right ? Small compromise? Worth a print
@@DemoStatic even then, it aint really that heavy, you can still throw with your right fine.
Oh, it isn't disturbing so much I guess. Kinda cool.
what is the name of the game?
Its easy an cheap to make one yourselfe.
