Hands down the most underrated singer in pop music history. Donna Summer's name should be mentioned in every conversation about greatest singers. Flawless. Pitch perfect. Never a misfire. And the power! She made it all look effortless. Donna was for more than a Queen of Disco, she had #1 hits until right before she died in 2012. One of the most powerful, and beautiful singers that ever graced us with her talent..... Thank you for your great reaction to Last Dance!

@@javionriley8739 I LOVE Beyonce, and yes she set the stage for Beyonce and many others, but Donna was by far more than disco. She could sing any genre of music and had 5 Grammys from Disco to Rock. No other female pop singer had that many Grammy's in such a wide range of music.

This was a movie in 1977 " thank God it's Friday" Donna Summers, a Boston girl, my hometown, was the Queen of Disco, could belt it out. Her training was in the Baptist church. This was like so many of the movies 🎬 of the time, Saturday Night Feverm Grease etc. If you want a great Donna song, "bad Girls" or McArthur Park. She was so talented! RIP DONNA.. Disco music was and is something to make you want to dance! God bless you young man. I enjoy your reaction!!

This came out in the late 70s, maybe 1978 or 79. It was huge in the Disco world, with that driving Disco Dance Beat. Donna was so Beautiful! and a really nice Human Being.

This slow start is kind of a signum for a lot of Donnas hits, for example On the radio, Mac Arthurs park and the duet No more tears (Enough is enough) with Barbra Streisand (which you really should react to!).
Takes me back to going to the disco, in dresses and 6 inch heels. We loved when Donna was played and the dance floor got full very fast. ❤

When I went to college is when I became real familiar with her music. This guy on campus was a huge fan and he would come to my dorm room with Donna's album and played it for me and my roommate while visiting. I grew to really appreciate her voice and she had a great album out in 79 that was real good.
Love Donna summer. Check her out more. The queen of disco. The producer wanted her to take out the beginning the way it went slow but she said no. The rest is history.

Sadly people keep recommending you the edited radio version. Last Dance and MacArthur Park each have another verse in their album version. Sadly these are good but until you hear the entire song of both of those songs you’re not gonna understand how amazing they really were
