The interviewer was funny in this (Mark Blankfield). Those cutaways are hilarious, and his goofy antics were a nice shot in the arm for this "KISS Exposed" video from '87.
Folks, this is a compilation of clips from a home video KISS released back in the late 80's called "eXposed". It was the era of Spinal Tap, so it was cool to make comedic videos back then; especially of you were a rock/metal band. The interviewer is played by an actor/comedian named Mark Blankfield. He's purposefully playing a hapless, clueless interviewer. Up to this point, KISS were usually interviewed by journalists who "just didn't get it".
