Here's a note for Crassus Detonators : A Crassus can only spawn at the beginning of a mission anywhere within the cavern. It won't chase anyone if no one is close, so if you don't see it and you can only hear it wail and not dig, then it's a Crassus. The strategy employed in the video is perfect for a great yield of gold. I hope the info comes useful.

If you hold down shift on pipes, your camera will follow them which is a lot easier than having to move your mouse every corner
Also it provides a slight boost when going up them.
We learned this between this video and another. It made recording coasters so much easier
you should try this strat: engie with jet boots, hover all the way up, with the help of platforms
Jet boots on low grav missions can give you insane height. You might be able to get to height cap with one boost
So many flashsticks... Stop polluting Hoxxes! Salvage missions are enough, we don't need cleaning ones!

What if they're organic
I dropped 163 of them trying to dig downward in the "To The Planet's Core" mission. I gave up after 163m of Compressed Granite.

The regular missions get tedious sometimes. Gives a nice challenge to do something the devs never intended
Management probably isn't pleased about them leaving the work site.
Now dig back down to connect to the pumpjack, and fill in the pipes. Theres still work to do!
By this point, all the pipes were connected and morkite was pumped. That's why all the bugs. We learned to do the pumping last after this experience.

Next time you get a detonator doing this, would it be possible to use it for the bedrock or granite?
I dont think the granite can be affected by anything except the pickaxe
Dont know if that true for the bedrock aswell though
The bulk detonator was pounding through the bedrock to get to Hambone in this video. I don't know if his explosion would have impacted it. I know in the Surface 2 video the small exploders didn't have any impact on the Compressed Granite when they were after me while at the top. It's risky business to get a bulk detonator up to the granite or higher because there's not much place to escape to when it blows.
Far as I know the Dense Biozone has large holes carved by the pickaxe, you might want to try that in order to need less holes made per segment
Does the large hole feature apply to the compressed granite, or just to the common rock portion? Because Sandblasted has makes big holes per hit, but it didn't seem to matter much once we got to the edge of the map.

With 3 M.2 drives. I'm not sure what causes the recording frame rate to drop every few seconds though, given my in-game frame rate is so high.
