Hey Another thank you so much for showing us the food service side of things. I started out at A-1 Truck Drivers Training School in Boulder City NV. Long story they were a bad driving school learned in a really late gear shifting a 14 speed trans. After graduating by the skin of my teeth my first job was Pepsi learned all over again on a 10 speed after 4 weeks of training they through to the wolf's. Is this normal should I have had 90 days since I had never been a a truck before? They said I was terminated from this job because they couldn't put me in a truck even though I had two great trainees said I was doing a great job driving even though I had never been in a truck. I had never tried food service before I'm looking for a start with my trucking career. Thanks again sorry for the long comment.
They couldn't put you in a truck? What was their reason for this? I've been working at Pepsi as a new CDL driver for about two weeks and from what I've heard they usually put you in a truck by yourself after about a month of training as a helper. Were you ever allowed to drive by yourself? If not it may be because of a failed background check or something like that. It takes 90 days to get into the union and being in the union means being protected from being fired, so they will always put you in a truck long before that so they can test you out and see if you can drive by yourself without getting in accidents or going too slow. They don't want slow people or bad drivers in the union because it's VERY hard to fire somebody once they're in the union. I'm very confused as to why they fired you.
Appreciate your hustle bro. But I couldn't do this type of work lol. I work for pepsi for almost 2 years and went to doing LTL Linehaul. I make 95k or better every year drop and hooks. Keep doing what you doing

They lying... Coca cola ain't paying them guys that kind of money unless they are short on drivers and running extra routes. I worked for them 12 years ago and never cracked more than 60k in 9 years. Don't believe the hype
Lol that's 12 years ago, Times changing
@@Nate-1989 true but there is no money in the soda business anymore unless u working in corporate. Every major food service company fleet of drivers come from soda and beer companies..... Why do the come for the $$$, I know countless drivers that left soda and beer companies who have worked for that company several years and got tired of bringing home a average/simple check. The money is in food service....rolling sodas and beer are for those that don't know or scared to leave.
@@AH-vo4ww I agree my guy I work food service as well definitely not enough money in beverage for me
Just got hired at coke 22.50 an hour but unlimited overtime at 33.72 averaging 1500 a week do the math San Antonio tx
Yea. Bro. You ain't lien. I work for Silver Eagle Distributors in Houston,Tx. This beer delivery is way to much for the money they pay.
It’s not worth it bro. Especially not for long term. I was in & out! ✌🏾
@@imanthonytv
Yea. I'm not gonna be here to much longer. It wouldn't be that bad. If you could just drop the beer and go. But you have to merchandise and rotate everything.
@@Mrjot1700 so did you make a move? do you like food service better?
Food service definitely pays more out here in Cali
Pays more everywhere

@@jaydog3582 Which company and how much? I’m looking out something around Pleasanton Livermore Tracy area.
@@hypersonic3808 US Foods.
Done both. I’ll take food service any day
Is sysco is good company?
I've been @ pepsi in Illinois for 5 months now, finally got my own route too. But if these checks constantly are the same probably make 60k but if I go in some Saturdays i make more.
60k is actually not bad for beverage especially in my area that would be pretty good
At 3:58 yep just like that you know the game. And you may have to hurry up and wait( to get checked in) if they’re busy.
Do you drivers have to do trailer washouts or is that for someone on the yard to do?
No, I’m not sure who does it.
Ok cool less work👍
Us foods most works are in the trailer
Pepsi most work are inside the customer account filling coolers for them that they wont touch pisses me off 5 years wasted ok that shit
I actually put in my notice and gonna go to us foods thanks to you man, making me see the bigger picture i owe a keg! Cuz of making an extra 20k
💯💪🏾
I worked for frito lay and now I’m at Sysco. Yes, I agree you work more working for companies that deliver to grocery store. I had to check in the product at receiving, work the product on the shelf, rotate, collect and organize all the cardboard and put it in the truck. After your done with working all product then you have to write an order. It was time consuming. At the end of the day I was exhausted. Also, some managers and receivers treat you like shit like if they are some God figure. Now working for Sysco I’m tired, but not exhausted. More time driving and looking for parking. Drop the product in locations and on the way you go. Food service pays a lot more 🍻😁
Hey what did you think of Frito Lay? Were you a CDL-A OTR Driver. Was it easier than food service? Did you work 6 days a week?
How do both of these compare to LTL?
I can’t say because I’ve never done LTL but I’ve heard it’s pretty easy.
I work for PepsiCo in SC. Starting pay is $24.95/hr after they clear you to drive then $27.90/hr about 55-60 hours a week so money is really good but extremely hard work from my experience I still haven’t gotten cleared to drive been here for two weeks and I’m looking at other options already.
It’s definitely a tough job.
Why havent you been cleared yet?
How do they pick shifts ? I have kids and I applied but I’m hoping for early early morning start times around 4-8am … do I pick or it’s not up to me ?
It depends on the route but I would say most routes start between 1-5am
What part Florida you in AntTv?
A good topic thanks man
No problem bro
I'm trying to get into food service ... I'm out of Orlando
Cheney Brothers is hiring
Lol that guy is telling stories 70-80 is way too high of a number. Pepsi in Texas probably pays the most and it ain’t that much
Pepsi in Washington is 26.90 paid weekly
I work beer in tx and make 80k a year.
Appreciate your hustle bro. But I couldn't do this type of work lol. I work for pepsi for almost 2 years and went to doing LTL Linehaul. I make 95k or better every year drop and hooks. Keep doing what you doing
That’s sweet! Easy money bro..Looks like you work for Estes.. I see those trucks all the time..Keep pushing champ
Can you please make a video on what is a chain account as you used that word many times and how it’s different from a normal food delivery job! Thanks.
Sure
