def. one of my favorite Stockhausen pieces. a pioneering fusion of classical, concrète, aleatoric, and improvisation. AMM get the same vibe going thru pure improvisation.
There is nothing especially interesting to this intellectual music. i remember fiddling with the tuning knob on my grand-father's table radio to get exactly the same effects when i was oh maybe 9 or 10 back in 1959-60. And i suppose that tons of artistically inclined etc. youngsters also did the very same thing to amuse themselves. SO for a grown man to indulge in hours upon hours of this sort of over extended and elongated experience as an Art Form ...is blatant opportunism at best. Boring. There isn't even a hint of climax at the end. Boring. Not 54 minutes ...but 5 with dynamic changes and a climax would have been enough....but that would have made it a 45 rpm single ...wouldn't it ? Ha ahha ah a AH.
@@Claude1Rochon you are right, intellectual stuff is always not interesting to most of the people. It's self evident. BTW, the distinguishing feature of that type of people is to make categorical assessments, generalize their vision of the world to others and allegedly expose fiction. You just not catch the idea and it is impossible to explain it to one, who in his 70 still thinks in 19th century terms. I don't condemn it! Just don't talk about quantum physics from Newton's perspective 😉

I spent all my life listening to tons of music of all genres and 14 years building Music Mixes of all genres, epochs, styles and countries for approx. 175 commercial customers. From there i decided to further deepen my knowledge to Metal, Soundtracks and Brahms for the unbelievable drama of his life...Bill Laswell and John Zorn. Rap is still my poorest experience for obvious reasons. They all rant on roughly the same meter, about the same social issues, on very little music. Last but not least...it was this morning i finally gave Stockhausen some time ...and discovered this piece as my first exposure to his works. Why i hadn't bothered to listen to his 'STUFF' before is all a matter of how much music there is to discover out there, that would leave time to listen to everybody's. I'm not going to live for 500 years. Frankly...this Kurzwellen opus IS boring...from a Newtonian perspective of course. I sure hope he did compose more exciting 'STUFF' for his sake..that is. @@Claude1Rochon oh, damn, okay, man, you won, go and listen to Metal, Soundtracks and Brahms and whatever 😘 I would definitely not sacrifice the rest of Sunday for walls of texts with CAPS LOCK 😇
This sounds look like Revolution no.9 The Beatles. John lennon and Yoko Ono recorded that song. I wonder that they had been affected by Stockhausen - Kurzwellen.
Listen to it in stereo with an open mind and fall into this amazing world where the artistic music creates THE time. 🔉

Brilliant music i use to own & love this album & listening to it for the 1st time in years even more so :-D
そこに存在させようとするエネルギー、それが満ち溢れている。
still love it!!
This must surely have been inspired by Short Wave Radio and the tuning of it.
The piece uses SW radios!

Apparently the original DG issue was a double-LP album, containing two different versions of this piece.
🎉🎉🎉
Stockhausen was born before Jimi Hendrix... This composition opened immediately. "Spiral II" also makes sense...
Kraut before Kraut rock

well, he is on the cover of Sgt. Pepper's
Random - messy ... rated low for good reason. But still worth a listen.
