It is incredibly fun to see a top tier watch being given the same considered and critical treatment as the many micros. I must admit that among the truly established and historical luxury brands, I have a weak spot for Chopard. Indeed, I would tend to agree that I'd prefer this over the Nautilus and the Royal Oak. It certainly has its own identity and style. I love the look of the bracelet, and I supoose anyone who's spending this much would be right to expect the boutique/dealer to take care of sizing and do it right. I didn't realise the detailing on the seconds counterweight until now. Very attractive. While I will probably maintain that I'd prefer the small seconds salmon version, your review has also reasserted the venerable beauty of the predecessor. In footage that date actually feels really well placed and it does work with the overall styling. All that aside, if I were shopping at Chopard, I might sooner still be swayed by that gorgeous updated LUC 1860. While I've warmed to bracelets, I still think I wouldn't wear it every day. And if it's going to be super luxury from this brand that that superlative contemporary classic styling of the dressy LUC 1860 is where I'd likely feel most at home.

Thank you for saying that, it's so nice to be able to borrow pieces like this and treat it exactly the same as any other watch and it's even nicer when doing so it proves itself as a luxury piece worth aspiring to. I love the LUC 1860 too ..

The new ones have easy release pushers on the bracelet, and they have 1.5XL links available. You also dont have to remove the screws to resize it; you can just loosen them a little :)

No microadjustment = would never ever purchase, regardless of how nice the watch is. When the weather is warm, I use the Easylink every day, sometimes several times.

Yes I understand that feedback for sure, particularly living in Australia where temperatures can vary wildly

I’d take a Chopard over a “holy trinity” brand any day. And over a Rolex, for that matter. Not that I can afford any of them. lol
