I Appreciate all your comments and feed back in this video, just keep in mind that this starting gate is designed as a learning tool and therefore it is more focused on that aspect. Thank you all very much for your support.
Start gate needs a much gentler slope, but could be a solid piece. I like the finish tree, though. Very simple but effective.
great video, but that starting gate needs work. It drops to slow, causing issues with a lot of the cars getting off the line. Maybe it needs to be spring operated rather than servo.
I'm surprised and disappointed why Hot wheels can't make a timed starting gate like this. It doesn't have to be electronic, just a simple wind up mechanism. C'mon HW, stop designing crappy overpriced track systems!

It's great to try and promote new products. Hope you learned that your old system for starting and timing works much better. The gate was faster and the times where easier to read on the old set-up.
My little man would love that starting gate! Simple enough for him to start with the electronic start aspect and the timing tree!

Is it the programming on the start gate causing it to drop so slowly or is there a mechanical issue? Also the start gate seems to cause problems with the longer wheelbase cars as there is a poor transition from the gate to the track. I hope the makers fix these issues.

@@sushmakumar6786 Why being so aggressive? I own one it and everything works fine. Moreover the time is accurate, compare to others where times are too fancyful despite more expensive !!! , impossible to compare a race to another one...
what a nice match up..wish to see more match-ups between other brands..makes it more exciting Would be nice to pit cars with same models like suv vs suvs, trucks vs trucks to give more of a fair race..matchbox proving that despite having trucks in thier line-p holding its own agains hotwheels whom most of its diecast models are designed to run fast on their tracks compared to other diecast makers where they follow a more realistic rendition.

Perfect starting gate!
That race track is very nice, but the starting gate is crap. The race is not fair when one car gets hung up on the start gate. You can clearly see this in the video.

The real final was between the formula E gen z (fastest time 6.8.6) and ‘93 Ford Mustang, the formula E gen Z was faster than any other ones (exept the ‘93 Ford Mustang)

Not gonna lie. The new gate sucks. Too steep of a transition angle and the gate is way too slow. Both are causing issues for many of the cars.
You did the HW Mclarin dirty. Should not have had to race against the mustang when it did. It was clearly the second fastest car and was the only car that gave the mustang a run for his money. They would have been a better final.

Also, the races are not fair, because you are racing different cars against each other. To make a race fair, both cars should have metal or plastic bases, weigh about the same (measure each car on a scale), and should be the same make and model (Matchbox Camaro against Hot Wheels Camaro).
