Thanks to easy Dutch for another good episode. The pronunciation is just so hard. 😅 Oh and it doesn't seem like it's Jeroen's first video. Very professional and well done! :)
Very interesting. As an Afrikaner, I often feel bad for not caring about Afrikaans films, so its interesting to see the Dutch seem to have the same situation.
There's one Dutch (big budget) movie worth for everyone to see in my opinion: 'Michiel de Ruyter' (2015) It's about the life of a very famous Dutch admiral from de 17th century.
I got the feeling that Dutch people watch Dutch only movies when they have to, during family time like holidays or Christmas. I've been trying to find and watch something good at cinema since I moved to the Nederlands in Dutch but it was really difficult to find something half good as in English. Alles op tafel was quite good, but its just a remake. On Netflix or Disney there are much better old Dutch movies than in present time. Just watching some trailer from the new romantic comedy or drama is already a bad experience (the whole story is just spoilered in 4 minutes movie's trailer with the most funny scenes). They're trying to bring more people by putting as many famous actors in it as it's possible but not really thinking about the story. It's the big problem in the whole Europe. There are hundreds of new films every year but finding at least few really good ones is a real challenge! We're 50 years behind the Hollywood and it's an ugly true.
Zwarte boek is an excellent film, why did no one mention that?! I get the impression there is a lot of apathy when it comes to homegrown cinema in the NL
There are some exceptions, but generally I agree with the idea that Dutch dialogue just doesn't sound very natural. Meanwhile I'm a huge horrorfan. I've watched De Lift, Sint, De Poel, Kristen and Bumperkleef (and probably some that I've forgotten about). I thought that last one was quite terrifying.
Find it a bit sad that people dislike the dutch film industry, i think you have many great actresses and actors as well as directors. Same goes for theater.

Thank you! ☺️ And keep listening and trying... You can do it! 😁
Goed gedaan!

How old are "old Dutch movies?" I love old b&w classic movies. I'd like to see an old Dutch movie.
I knew that you would upload again at perfect times haha
Can anyone share on what is considered mainstream entertainment in the Netherlands? Is cinema a big deal?
Me encantan estos videos.
Great video!
Thank you for the video!

It’s called Zwartboek
1:14 m sure that I have seen this guy in another easy Dutch episode
True! :D We just found him coincidentally on the street and asked him, he was happy to help us once again!

Why are the Dutch so attractive? 😅❤

The dialogues in Dutch movies always feel so forced and unnatural to me as a Dutch speaker.
I've seen several Dutch TV series on Netflix and loved them.
Franse films
Geen Naderlandse films?😢
,,Barry Lydon '
Je heb veel haar Jeroen 😂😂.
great video, but the arrogant cinephile in me was cringing at all the men choosing mafia war crime films
Zwartboek.
Nederlandse films zijn niet populair!
