I’ve used one of these for years so here are my tips for best results. 1-spray a little oil on the trays even though they’re non stick. 2-only use 3 eggs between the 2 trays, plus a very little milk. 3-don’t add the grated cheese till the two omelettes are nearly ready. 4-always precook any meat like bacon or chicken, or use ready cooked chopped ham etc.5-use 2 spatulas to remove omelettes, one at each end, as they can sometimes break up. If by any chance there is still a raw looking bit in the middle which won’t set properly, put the omelette on a plate and microwave for a few seconds.
@@Viking19077 It does, but the reason is that the omelette recesses are not deep and so there’s a chance that the whisked eggs may spill over the sides, or they may not cook properly in the centre. It’s not impossible to use 4 small to medium size eggs though, especially if you prefer not to add any milk or fillings like chopped tomatoes/chopped meat etc.
Good price but I'm not bothering with any more kitchen gadgets. I find I only use very rarely so they just gather dust. Gave some away to a charity shop. Hand blender, coffee maker, and sandwich toaster. Just took up space and used once in a blue moon.
I bought that from Aldi last year,I use it for frying eggs,it takes very little time to cook,as it cooks both sides you don't get snotty eggs which I hate.Last week I used it to make a mushroom omelette for the first time it didn't take 5 minutes, just 3.Great gadget.
I bought my one from Aldi about 5 years ago when it was on reduced price. Think I paid £5.99 for it. It's a great little gadget for those nights when I want a break from cooking or we just want a light meal. Cheese omelette is our favourite. Never thought on using it for frying eggs 🙄 Got to give that a try.
I think that’s the aim of us all 🇬🇧 to economise on electricity ⚡️. I am going to buy one myself . We seldom use the big oven now, but we make pies 🥧 like a tin of creamy chicken with mushrooms and scallions in the little white oven that stands on top of the kitchen counter, so you don’t have to compromise with nice home cooking huh .
They sell some right crap in B&M, it's like the Pound shop but with a higher mark up.. I wouldn't buy anything from there again.. I mean how often are you gonna use that omelette maker?? I would make one quicker in a pan? Lol.
Mate you just need a better non stick pan and to grease it. Omelettes are very easy if you give yourself a fighting chance from the outset. This is basically a non stick pan with a heating element underneath it, so I can't really see why or how it's any better or easier than a saucepan other than that it costs £5. Once the non stick coating becomes less effective (as all non stick coatings do) it'll be next to useless. Having said that, for £5 I'd have probably bought it too Just to add to this, a pan makes it easier to crisp up the onions or bacon and cook any other ingredients before you put the egg in. This seems a bit limited to be honest and even, my young kid can make an omelette in a saucepan. I call this sort of thing a dust catcher.
I’m gutted mate I just sent my girlfriend to BnM to get 1 but out of stock 😩 they had a bigger more expensive omelette maker at£15.99 so sod that mate “” I need a spliff now to cheer me up 👍🏻😎👊🏻 cheers & BIG RESPECT
You should try cooking a few other things on it as displayed on the packaging. Some Chicken and Veg for a Kebab on one side and a Pita or Flat-Bread on the other. looks like something a Student could use If they're House sharing and don't want all the drama with the Kitchen and their food being stolen.
Love an omelette but yeah, I always cook stuff off first too. I think if you're in a bedsit, say, or maybe don't have easy access to a hob then this is amazing for a fiver. Not for me but great review!

Great video bargain at a fiver... At least you used a rubber spatula to remove them, I was half expecting you to use a butter knife for some reason lol.
£5 is great I will check it out thanks. You could have cooked your stuff in it, then just added your eggs. With heat on top and bottom it would take no time. I’m thinking this would have loads of uses instead of putting the oven on, chicken maybe fish fingers if you have kids. It would be cheaper then heating up an oven 😊
