May I step outside the dentures-which I am going to have to get a soon as I am more mobile from some painful, inflammatory process-which also has made my teeth fall out- I will add- Hearing Aids! Having a family who has hearing loss-and then one of my daughter's did-I will say-Shame on them for that, too! They ALL have ears, do they not-as well as teeth! Members of Congress, the Senate, even the State Senators-get the BEST medical insurance for themselves and their families-for Life-even if they do not serve any longer. It includes dental, sight and hearing aids-but the policies are the absolute top notch ones and guess who pays for them???Yep, WE DO, the meager taxpayer-who Congress has decided to try to remove Social Security, Medicaid, etc.from us-the "people", who they are sup[posed to be "serving!" I have lived within the system that is supposed to help me and I de[pend on it-myself and my family have paid untold millions of dollars into "the system" and when I legitimately need it, I should not have to beg, apologize, be told off, etc. which has unfortunately happened-many times. I don't know Christi if I want to hunt for a school and do it that way but what about mini implants? I'm in the market or will be soon for upper and that seems a path to go. My dental insurance with Renaissance Dental or Stride I guess they're the same thing I got through being a Doordash driver of all things pays 60 pct up to $3000 for both implants and extractions. Again 3000 total max they cover but I've heard with mini implants 5000ish is close. Probably add more for extractions. Sorry I'm just saying this to you to throw it out there if I'm close on price (I'm still doing homework at this point) for upper or lower if you only need 1 or the other so far out of pocket could be 2000 to 4000 with extractions. Cheap for none of us but that could be something you could do. I don't know what insurance you have but double check they don't cover it. Maybe outside shop with Stride if there's is better than what you have. But I'm starting to see a path for me even if it's not the 25 to 50000 dollar 4 on 1 regular implants to improve my life again.
Sadly even dentures are out of my price range so I have to suffer with the toothaches and shame to where I don’t smile. Everyone says just save for it but when you’re a single mom of four it makes it rough. Haven’t smiled in years in a picture because I don’t want to embarrass myself or my kids
Hi, Betty. Call around to some dental colleges. You may get free dentures by being a patient for educational purposes. It will just cost you a little more time. I mean, the worse that can happen is that they say no, right?
Yes, dental work is very expensive. I had one tooth pulled by an oral surgeon. It cost me over $1000.- And he cracked the tooth next to it! He said a 'regular' dentist could do something to repair that one. I told him "Sure, and you broke it, so you're paying for it!" I got estimates ranging from $2500- to 5500.- I sent them to the oral surgeon and called him, no call back, no nothing. They think the average person can afford this kind of money. We can't. I guess I'm living with the broken tooth, then. Way too much for dental in the US.
Just a suggestion: I have Non-Hogkin’s Lymphoma and have experienced a significant weight loss. I also have dental problems. My VA Home Health Care Provider came up with a mixture of pudding mixed with a high protein/high calorie shake. It’s stabilized my weight loss and I have even put on a few pounds. I think, because pudding requires no chewing, this would be ideal for a patient following dental implant surgery. Might not work for everyone; but it has worked well for me! 😊
That is great and glad it worked for you. Both my husband and myself don't have any teeth. I bought generic Ensure drinks from the dollar store. To keep him especially from losing any weight. I don't weigh much either. But don't have the health issues my husband does. I appreciate your information.
I got snap ons thinking they were permanently fixed false teeth and I am devastated. When I asked before all the surgeries I must have asked the wrong questions or they were trained to make me feel like these were not dentures. Don’t do what I did. $30+ G later from the cheapest dentist I could find I got less than I payed for. I am heartbroken, and I’m here to urge you to do better than I did.
@@derperderp9036 implants not all on 4. I had all the surgeries to drill the posts into my jaw bones thinking the teeth would screw into them and be permanent. I was wrong, they only just snap on and off the tips of the exposed implants. They are only a small step up from regular dentures that require glue to stay in place, these snap on to the posts. They fill with crud every time I eat, they feel like plastic and irritate my mouth. I hate them. Because I thought they would be permanently screwed into my implants. I might not have asked the right questions in the beginning and or they were deceptive about the finished product. Research the hell out of it before you do what I did. In the US dentists can bill the medical health insurance for anything below the gums ~ for instance, extractions, but you must have a medical doctor prescribe full mouth rehab for physical health issues. Perhaps your teeth have dried And cracked from long term Ritalin methamphetamine meds, acute anxiety night grinding, nutritional deficiencies -anemia, sarcopenia, from long term effects from bariatric surgery or eating disorder… coordinated supporting laboratory tests for D, iron, B’s and diagnosis needs to be done prior to submitting the conclusive medically determined and prescribed full mouth rehab to the dental office, who’ll enjoin the records when submitting the plan to the health insurance using both the health insurance form and the dental insurance form. I was quoted $800 per extraction. Now I have less than a dozen teeth with grinding and cracking and falling out and breaking off. I’ve lost weight in the last year from 156 to 121 lbs. Last year I made the mistake of going to the dentist first, no. The medical doctor first, I had to wait a year to reset the order. 80% of $800 is nothing to ignore, but I had to wait a year.
Slight correction: You don't NEED to see OMFS or perio for 2-4 lower implants for a snap on denture. Most dentists who place implants have no problem providing this service (it's surgically easier than placing a single anterior implant IMO). Much like anything else, GPs may choose to tackle some full arch denture cases and refer others.
Snap on Dentures and Implants are best for people who are basically rich. When the average person has to get a high interest loan for teeth that would literally take probably a decade or more to pay off and God Forbid they get damaged, to repair Snap ons or Implants it takes another loan to get fix cause your going to pay at least 5K and more I will stick to my normal dentures. They look natural and I can eat practically whatever I want and they last years if well taken care of. If they get damaged I can afford to fix or get another pair without going into debt. Thanks, but, No Thanks!
Great video!! It has helped put my mind at ease. I’ve had regular dentures for about 9 years now, and I’m working with my dentist and an oral surgeon to get snap ins now. The surgeon I’m going to uses the robotic assist, so this is a really pricey procedure. In your opinion and experience, is the robotic assist worth the extra cost?
Nice video ,straight to the point and accurate. You could also mention if the patient wants the palate can be reduced then uncovering taste buds and making more tongue room.
You are right Larry. Thank you for the comment! If the clinician does decide that the palate can be reduced, it is very important that the implants have enough AP (Anterior-Posterior) spread to be able to give retention without the palate. To make this possible, the clinician might need to do a sinus lift because it is important to make sure the implants are parallel. If the clinician goes in front of the sinus with the posterior implants, it might not have enough spread to get the retention needed to remove the palate.
I'd add, I'm in that boat. To have an implant supported overdenture without the palate piece, you need more implants. I have 6 implants in my upper jaw and that provides excellent retention..
@@kathleenmorris9309 Sounds like this may be your first set of dentures. If so,the dentures are foreign in your mouth and will take time to get used to.Because of the extra acrylic in your mouth your tongue will have to readapt to the smaller area then your speech will improve.Adjustments to the dentures most likely will have to be done if you have sore spots. For most people it takes a few months before they are comfortable with new dentures.

@@sstacey33eah, the prices vary so much. I think it depends on where you live. The dentist I went to, when I lived in Virginia charged me 300 to cap a tooth. Moving to NY, they wanted to charge me $2500. (Without a post or implant, basically a glued on tooth.) I traveled back to Virginia and had it done for $459. Ten years later, it only went up $159. I really miss Virginia, sometimes!
I paid $14,000 for the 4 implant posts and $1600 for the bottom denture 5 yrs ago. Now the denture is worn out and a new snap in lower denture is costing me $4400. My mouth is about to break the bank. Could have been more. The bottom denture with metal in it was $10,000. Damn
Why would you not include the most important part ? THE PRICE. At least a range be cause we all know every dentist and doctors will say “ well it depends “ to get us in for the hard sell.

I like the idea of a snap on bc I feel like it would be easier to keep my mouth clean. But, I heard the long term maintenance cost for snap ons can be more expensive than all on 4 permanent full arch implants
For the last 3 years, I have spent $36 K. I was left without my teeth. I now have an upper full denture and a full bottom that won't stay in. I haven't eaten anything substantial in this 3 years period. I am surviving with Boost Nutritional Drinks to maintain a somewhat balanced diet. Now I'm seeing a Prosthodontist and a Oral Surgeon. I now have 3 choices for just the bottom denture. I can have what's called a snap-on, a bar, or a fixed permanent. The snap-on between both Doctors is $22k. The bar would be $36k or the fixed permanent for $55k. Im am going to get the snap- on. All said, and done, I will have paid $56k just for the bottom. The top denture works fine, thank God. If you have young children push them to a career in the dental field. A Oral Surgeon or the Prosthodontist would be the best, but just a regular dentist makes some big bucks as well. Peace out.
Personally i like snap in idea, can have multiple versions of teeth|denture. I want metal teeth no lie, for starters anyway on my bottom bc keeping my top for a while longer and matching color be a pia. I have zero issues with metal teeth.
When considering this option should one totally change their teeth to the perfect straight, white looking teeth, or keep it natural? Thank you for any advice you can give. I feel like if I am going to pay for the implant dentures, then I might as well get the perfect, straight, white teeth, but the doctor performing the implant procedure is trying to convince me to keep my same look. I do have straight teeth. I had braces, & multiple other procedures growing up to get the "perfect" smile, they just aren't as white as I would like. I'm needing the procedure bc I had anemia & hyperparathyroidism that went undiagnosed for years. I've just been going to the dentist constantly for root canals, implants (i already have 3), fillings, etc. The dentist finally said he didn't want to keep taking my money for a problem that was basically out of control at this point. Approximately $15k in 2 years later. 😢❤ It's been very depressing, because like I said, I've always prided myself on having the perfect teeth, & in just such a short amount of time, a disease(s) can ruin everything. Thank you again for any advice. ❤
So sorry for your ordeal. Disease or trauma can suddenly take our beautiful teeth. Personally I think the super white teeth look unnatural. Maybe keep the straight look but not super white. These teeth will never stain or darken
I have dentures for 2 month now and hate it. Does the click on denture upper arche needs the sucken part? I'm asking bc this is what me bother. Can not eat, not speak, nothing. Who of you is ok with normal cheap dentures?
Never laugh at someone missing teeth. Look at the prices. Not to mention root canals cost a fortune also and don’t last without a crown so 2k for one tooth? What if you have multiple and more in the future with no insurance on top of it? Not to mention look into root canals, they’re terrible for you!
I am going to tell you what happens. If leave tooth that needs root canal. Instead of getting pulled which is the only option. Eventually the infection spreads to the bone in your jaw. Killing your neighboring healthy teeth. So you will lose even more teeth. If you are really lucky like I was. That it doesn't spread to your heart or brain. Which is life threatening. You will have no teeth left by the time it is over with. I would find low income dentist on Google near you. Get the tooth pulled. I am telling you through experience. You are going to make things a lot worse by not doing anything.
You are speaking my heart right now. Even tho I want to, I just cannot Root Canal this infected tooth. I think that long term, they are terrible for you. Instead, I'll lose one more tooth. This will make my 4th.😢
My teeth are all gone now. I will eventually get dentures. It is a lot better if you don’t have money or insurance. To get it pulled as as possible. I made huge mistake by not doing that. I know it is really hard to lose your teeth. But the most important thing is your health. Please get the tooth pulled.

I need like 10 molars replaced top and bottom I crushed my nose and broke quite a few teeth in a bad car accident and that was 15 years ago I’m 40 today and I’m worried it’s gave me some sort of heart disease although I’m relatively healthy and look fine but looks can be deceiving we all know that I think it could just be my anxiety tbh. Today they gave me 3 options today at the Dental office 1.) is go the implant route it’ll probably take a year to get everything finished and it cost $28k 2.) Do implants on the top and partials on the bottom 17k or 3.) just get the bad teeth extracted and do partials because it’s a lot more in my budget and for that it’s only $5,500 and they could extract the teeth in 3 weeks and have the partials in by Thanksgiving this year (2024) and said I can always upgrade to implants later when my money gets back up again. I don’t have any dental insurance so this would be all out of pocket and they’re recommending Proceed Financial. I just don’t know which to choose I have good credit so I could probably get approved for the implants but that’s another big bill every month I’m 40 recently single and depresssd and I’ve always been the life of the party bachelor living Las Vegas dating beautiful woman but right now I’m depressed and down in the dumps. I wish I knew the right answer here, smh?? **If I did get the partials I definitely would like the ones that don’t show the wire is that always an option?
So, during the initial healing process you go back for your permanent set and the implants have to be ‘uncovered’? Why? Does skin/gums heal over the top? If so, won’t that happen with the permanent set?
Yes. The snap-on implants are placed at or just below the gum line, so the gum will grow back over them. They basically have to go in and slice the newly grown gum to expose the implants.
Thank you for taking the time to drop a comment! The costs do vary between different providers/types of providers, materials, and number of implants. Patients that have been in a denture, love upgrading to snap on dentures!

And being imbarresed ,those days are gone forever .🙏🏼👊🏼💪🏼
scary. there is never any talk about infection into the bone which travels through your body and heart. In Saudi. we use to pull all their teeth out so there was no risk of infection prior to heart sugery. after doing extensive research. I found out the infection issues with anything drilled into your mouth is a diaster for infection which involves the organs and/or any part of the body. Which makes sense because infection travels through the blood.
There is a way to provide the snap on denture the same day as the procedure. There are a couple of things that will come into play. It is imperative that the patient has very good bone and that when the implants are placed, the physician is able to get a lot of torque on the implants. The manufacturers usually use 35 N-Cm (Newton Centimeters) to give the green light to load the implants the same day. Usually that is what is used for the All On Four procedure, since there is no movement of snapping them in and out. Every provider is different, but some providers like to have 50 N-Cm (Newton Centimeters) when placing snap on dentures the same day. When they do place the snap on dentures the same day, the provider will use an insert that doesn’t provide retention during the healing period. Then after healing, they are able to switch out the inserts to provide more retention. For the lifetime guarantee’s, it is important to look at what is guaranteed. The implants (the piece that attaches to the jaw) are usually what providers are providing a lifetime warranty on. There will usually also be stipulations that the patient has to come back for routine maintenance, so that the provider can ensure that the implants will last a lifetime. The implant manufacturers usually back that warranty for the provider. The actual snap on denture prosthesis (the teeth part) will definitely have to be maintained as the years go on.
I will have my dentures and implants procedure soon and it will cost me almost $9000. All options was explained to me but with all my condition plus I have the diabetes, what’s the best procedure was recommended to me.
Would love to get these. I have two set of teeth made and I still have terrible issues trying to wear them. Where in Maine is there someone that does this?

Thank you for the comment. I am glad your denture is working great!! Yes, digital dentistry is amazing. It is getting better and better. Digitally processed teeth are great. I like going from digitally capturing the data with an intraoral scanner and then having the teeth made with a 3d printer. When making dentures the old fashioned analog way, there are errors that are introduced in processing. When digitally made, there are less errors and the denture can be made to not have movement, which will help the bone not to disappear quickly. You are also right, that if you stay up on relines, that will prevent people from having to use the poly grip all the time.

There are definitely some cheap options out there that will snap over teeth and give a patient a whiter smile for a short period of time. This solution doesn’t help patients that have failing and infected teeth. Full mouth restorations like the All on Four and Snap on Denture are for patients that are losing most or all of their teeth.

Fml. Gotta get my top done in 2 weeks for $12,000. Snap on dentures. Not even the good implant bridges. Those wouldve been around $20_22000. Just the top. Bummy.
Great question Joe!! Yes, you can go from a snap on denture to an All on Four in the future, but it is important for the provider to know that ahead of time and plan accordingly. Every provider is different, but some providers like to have 8 to 10 millimeters of restorative space when restoring teeth with snap on dentures and 15 millimeters of restorative space when planning for an all on four procedure. They will also plan the spread of the implants accordingly. On top they can usually get implants in the posterior (back of the jaw), by doing a sinus lift, if needed. But, the bottom is where it gets more difficult. They would have to plan for an All on Four by using 2 implants in the anterior and then place two implants in the posterior that are angled and just not use them or come back later on and place those two implants in the posterior.
Are material's used for snap on dentures as strong and ling lasting as all on 4's ? Which require more maintenance and which are more likely to break ? Also whats the pros n cons of each ? @@archpointimplantdentistry6545
Most of the snap on dentures doesn't have all that palate ! I don't understand why you didn't bring that up ??? I believe all odf these doctors are just trying to sell all on 4s because that's where the money is for them! but snap on are the best ones
Thank you for you comment David. There are times where the palate can be reduced. This sometimes adds to cost because it is important to get enough AP (Anterior-Posterior) spread. If you don’t get enough of a spread between the implants and you cut the palate, then the overdenture will rock and the patient will have issues with the function of the snap on denture.

Thank you for your comment Deltosha. We understand that cost is a big factor when it comes to dental implant decisions so we want to share more details. There are costs that go with better materials. Better materials give better results and long lasting results. There are providers in the United States and other countries that can provide a cheaper alternative by using cheaper materials. When working with specialists, they will not compromise quality of work with sub par materials just to make the procedure cheaper. A lot of patients are in need of full mouth restoration and sometimes it is best to start with removing failing and infected teeth, and start with a denture while saving up to get implants placed for either a snap on denture or a fixed solution, like the All on Four or All on X.

Good luck to us all! Vote the crazy people out and make them go home-although they all kept their insurance! UGH! Terri
Betty, hello. In Turkey range of those dentures from 5000.00£, but yes it also money for travel and accommodation. But Yes, cheaper in Turkey
Hi, Betty. Call around to some dental colleges. You may get free dentures by being a patient for educational purposes. It will just cost you a little more time. I mean, the worse that can happen is that they say no, right?
Condoms
Payments. Pay it off over time.
Also boost and meal replacement drinks. They’re yummy too.
Did you get the implants too? Please explain because I'm going through the same thing. Thank you 😊
@@derperderp9036 implants not all on 4. So much money and pain for such a low level solution.
@@Killryno666 I'm so sorry 😔😔. I've been dealing with failing implants. Bone graphing not working and not they want to pull all my teeth and do all in 4.
Starting my procedure next week getting the 4n2 snap in I'm so ready been long 4 years waiting!
@@CeeTeeUSA I agree especially if they are mini implants.Either way 6 would definitely work better.

I’m in the process of getting 2on2 bottom dentures now. Next appt is the uncovering of implant & abutment.
I 100% recommend this. I paid 4600$. I don’t even think I need the snaps my bottom dentures are that comfortable.
I know some who paid 12000 for lower only
@@sstacey33eah, the prices vary so much.
Damn
What is a 2 on 2 procedure?
Why would you not include the most important part ? THE PRICE. At least a range be cause we all know every dentist and doctors will say “ well it depends “ to get us in for the hard sell.
Mine are going to cost me approximately $6K, but I already have 3 implants. I hope this helps some. ❤
@JenBee1 can you have an implant and then later get this?
@missycalhoun6319 yes, having some implants already will save some $. They are snap in, & snap into your implants.
Do snap on 4 overdentures wobble, as the entire base is supported by just the 4 implant which are typically at the front part of the jaw?
This cld be life changing..... Saddens me that the cost of them are so high and that majority of insurance companies do not cover or help with the cost at all......
Thank you for your comment! It is definitely life changing and one of the best parts of working in this profession. It is unfortunately a stretch for a lot of patients to come up with the funds to be able to move forward with treatment. It is truly amazing to see patients get second jobs and come back years later ready to move forward. We wish the best of luck to you and I hope that it is a possibility in the future for you.
You could get a line of credit or just save for it. You don’t necessarily have to get a second job. His answer was kind of condescending. He doesn't know what you do for a living. All you said was they were expensive. You did not say that you could not afford them. Professionalism and respect is everything to me. I don’t care if they were free!

I like the idea of a snap on bc I feel like it would be easier to keep my mouth clean. But, I heard the long term maintenance cost for snap ons can be more expensive than all on 4 permanent full arch implants
I have implants full mouth, I have had issues, you are talking perfect sense here thank you.
What kind of issues?
Peace out.
Wtf doctors y'all going to??? I'm getting my snap on's done for my bottom fully for like 10k
@nicoleancell6860 thank you so much for the advice. 🩷
I have dentures for 2 month now and hate it. Does the click on denture upper arche needs the sucken part? I'm asking bc this is what me bother. Can not eat, not speak, nothing. Who of you is ok with normal cheap dentures?
Thank you very much I actually learned a lot from your video!!
Glad to hear it!

@@klledbetter but, in the long term, you’re able to snap them on/off at will at home? The gums growing over the implants is concerning. Ouch

scary. there is never any talk about infection into the bone which travels through your body and heart. In Saudi. we use to pull all their teeth out so there was no risk of infection prior to heart sugery.
after doing extensive research. I found out the infection issues with anything drilled into your mouth is a diaster for infection which involves the organs and/or any part of the body. Which makes sense because infection travels through the blood.
here in south Texas many people travel to tourist town in MExico and get full mouth impants for like 10% the cost they are in the states
I need these seriously 😳
This is the old way now too. Most places allow same day snap on dentures and Life time guarantee

@@dcsr2457 thank you, that is fear i guess , i check 2 places ,one is unversity stl and they charge 1600 per implant plus 280 extraction per tooth. Roughly $12000 per arch plus cost of arch it self depends what choosing quartz most expensive, titanium or metal with ceramic bit less expensive.
Over all about $17000 complete one arch. Very expensive here in Saint Louis Missouri. Other, private dentists one day service permanent $18k plus denture $20k-25k all including extraction for 11 tooth and roots. 250 each.
Again insanely expensive. I Dont understand Dentists here in Missouri New York city is less expensive
Fml. Gotta get my top done in 2 weeks for $12,000. Snap on dentures. Not even the good implant bridges. Those wouldve been around $20_22000. Just the top. Bummy.
Does the top snap in denture touch the soft palette arch as in a traditional denture?
No, they can remove that part of the upper denture.
That's enough for me to sign up I hate hate my denture palatte
Were is how much c
Can you go from a snap on implant to a all on four permanent later on if you wanted using the same posts?
Nice
Where can i find some in las vegas ?
I would search for a prosthodontist in your area. Look for an MS (Master of Science) next to their name and make sure they say they are a prosthodontist.
Hello. How much? That's why I came here.
How much does the lower snap in dentures in usually cost
hello doctor jt here, i'm wondering about your sap ons because i have no teeth at all i lost my dentures and i feel terrible but id like more info please
So sorry that you lost your dentures JT. Snap on dentures are a great alternative. They still would need to come out like a denture, but they function so much better than a traditional denture.
People if your gonna pay almost 10 grand for a snap on denture why not pay the extra 4 grand to get the all on 4 permanent fix?
I wish it was only 14 grand for all on 4. It's about 35 grand where I live.
Bc I think they’d be easier to clean and keep your gums clean. The other will constantly get stuff trapped in the gap
@@nicoleancell6860 bro not if there done right they dont.
@@RC_Trailblazers go to the smile mission in Miami flordia you will pay about 14 grand for both tops and bottoms. Your welcome.
@@RC_Trailblazers please man call around and get different quotes. I was also quoted 30 something grand in my home state. You gotta be willing to travel if you wanna find a decent price, I went to nuvia in nashville thinking they were gonna be awesome with their prices cause they have price guides lol but they quoted me almost 60 grand for all on 4s!!! That's almost the price for a full mouth of implants per each tooth. It's best to weigh your options, call as many as you possibly can but I can tell you right now you won't find none cheaper than the smile mission in Miami Florida cuz they have a deal going on until October where there all on 4s are 5,999 dollars per arch
Yea 2000$$$ a screw
No pictures or details. Shame
Why is the price a secret. It’s like anything medical is way overpriced. Corruption at its finest.
A cheaper alternative does not equate to sub par procedure. What’s the alternative to the US’s overpriced procedure? …I thought so.
Most americans can't afford these. Ridiculous.
I would be one of those. So I will have removable denture. Bought online when I save some money. Like 53 million other people.
There for wealthy people..very unfortunately ....
In other words…..brush your teeth
Brushing teeth doesnt really make a diff for people suffering from certain medical conditions that strip the calcium from their teeth.
