  • This video introduces comparative adjectives with more (adjective) than. Viewers can review the basic adjectives form, then learn the comparative forms being used in sentences. For example, Chocolate is more delicious than jelly.
    Adjectives:
    beautiful, colourful, difficult, exciting, expensive, handsome
    Rules:
    Adjectives with 2 or more syllables usually use the 'more ... than' form.
    more beautiful than
    more exciting than
    more interesting than
    Adjectives ending in 'ful' use the 'more ... than' form.
    more careful than
    more useful than
    Adjectives with 2 syllables ending in 'y' take the 'er than' form.
    happy - happier than
    silly - sillier than
    There are exceptions to the rule of 2 syllables.
    narrow - narrower than
    quiet - quieter than
