    As always, here is the MEGA folder containing the remaster and the stems used in the visualization.
    mega.nz/folder/sRxHULRR#GXi19Qc8fGO-Iipk6kpjEA
    Edit: Heart in Danger has been remastered! ruclips.net/video/VgwmBJ4_8YI/видео.html
    Edit 2: I've seen some comments talking about how this remaster is worse than the original, and, yes I did abuse a bit on the treble making it a bit painful to listen on high end equipment (which I don't have), now this is my fault and not Dolby as someone people said it was, Dolby is only used here to enhance the bass and stereo wideness and nothing more. Because of this I'm once again remastering it but this time mixing the instruments one by one, however this remaster will not be uploaded to RUclips since, 1. I don't want to saturate my channel with Subways Of Your Mind remasters and 2. since at the end of the day, the remaster, IMO, is better than the original, albeit a bit over the top as I said on another comment.

    What's really surreal about all this is the fact that this version actually sounds happier than the one we've been listening to all these years, especially with the lyrics being more clear. I always thought one line in particular went "let us drown in your own failure" but it's actually "let a smile be your companion." It's as if the song itself is happy we finally know who made it.

      Hopefully in the new re-recorded version, he can actually sing in tune this time. Maybe even use a touch of autotune if necessary (not enough to be a noticeable effect, just enough to make the singing in tune). Because in this original version he's constantly singing just a tad too sharp. Like a microtone amount. Once you hear it you can't unhear it, and it really bothers me. I don't have perfect pitch, or anything, and I can actually appreciate when sometimes singers deliberately sing slightly out of tune for a better effect, in particular when blues singers will sing certain notes a microtone too flat to really add the bluesiness to it. But I don't think it really fits in this, this I guess new wave song? I love what 80s music I've heard, but I'm not really an expert. Is this new wave? Or is it some kind of post-punk?

    My favorite detail about this is that this feels so victorious. Listen to the “original” and it sounds surreal and melancholy, almost on the verge of being depressing (in a good way). Then listen to this and it has so much soul to it. It’s more polished. It feels like after the original aired on the radio, the group re-recorded to make it better, but thought nobody liked the original enough to release it. In particular is the addition at 1:16 (I think it’s called a snare) which legitimately made me pause what I was doing while listening to this and just freeze in surprise. This version gives me that feeling of awe that only a Journey song can even come close to. From 3:13 to the end is another great example. This is the best birthday present I could’ve asked for

    • @BlueAnonymous__

      Real, the original song is so depressing

    • @b.w.22
      @b.w.22 15 дней назад +3

      I think what you are referring to at 1:16 is something called “ghost notes” that are definitely a feature on the snare. They are this way of adding flavor to things, not true strikes on the drum but little brushes on the side or drum-head. To me the addition of that sort of thing shows how comfortable and confident the drummer has become with the song, so that what was once perhaps an improvisation is now part of the “song” itself as they play it. Theres a live version of (edit: this song in 1985) where it becomes clear just how good the bassist is.
      I too also like the way the end is now powerfully syncopated in a sort of hard-rock or even thrash kind of beat. I’d love to hear the entire catalogue of these guys’ music, collectively as FEX but also anything they went on to do with others or on their own.

      @@b.w.22 well said. My best friends are all musicians but I’m illiterate in the craft, thank you for the correction.
      Something I’d like to point out about their catalog, they have more music that hasn’t seen the light of day. There’s a channel called HORIZON that uploaded their song named Jenny, and it looks like the thumbnail to the video is a vinyl album cover with a full roster of song names we have yet to hear

    • @b.w.22
      @b.w.22 15 дней назад +1

      @@rickytickybobbywobbin7430 - Hey, thanks! I really liked your comment since it gets into what, exactly, you find appealing about a song or recording. Nothing wrong with just “loving” something, but I had not focused on that little bit with the snare that you mentioned and that kind of specificity with music appreciation I find really interesting and helpful. I do play instruments, but to me music is like food: I’ve never thought one needed to know how to cook to appreciate something delicious. Sometimes music people can even lose the forest for the trees, caring too much about some subtlety only they hear and forgetting that simple bread can be as good as something complicated and “perfect.”
      I’ve just today heard “Jenny,” which is off of an album collecting songs from many bands it appears. All this suggests to me, along with the band recording their demo in 1983 and performing live in 1985, that there must be other, unrecorded or unissued “FEX” songs that will hopefully see the light. I have to say that the conclusion to this mystery and seeing these lovely guys has given me immense joy.

    • @rickytickybobbywobbin7430
      @rickytickybobbywobbin7430 15 дней назад +1

      @@b.w.22 I hadn’t realized that was a collection from multiple artists, thanks again for the correction. And that is a very poetic way to put it but I entirely agree. I started watching a video recently but didn’t finish it from a couple of musicians looking at someone’s heavy metal (at least if I’m remembering correctly) track with each sound channel still separated so they could evaluate the subtleties that was put into the making of the track, and a lot of it was a forest for the trees kind of thing too. They were praising it for those details when I could literally hear no difference, despite them pointing it out. FEX, on the other hand, you can hear every detail without needing to focus on it. Granted, their tracks were made in a different era when just a different style was what made a band unique

    WOW! Thank you so much for this great clean up of a brilliant song. I only discovered the story of 'the most mysterious song on the internet' a year or so ago, have been hooked ever since, and hoped the band and song could be identified. And now it's happened. The band are back together, we've witnessed a live acoustic performance and maybe the song will be re-recorded. It's ike a beautiful fairytale. The irony, though, of this song becoming an internet sensation over 40 years after it was demoed! What happened to the band in those lost years, did they all go their own ways, become desk clerks or builders maybe, and forgot the song just as the record company A&R people did? We need a full documentary! Like so many bands that never made it, there are some real gems of songs out there waiting to be discovered by a new generation, who can appreciate them like the record companies of the day never did. A new Stairway To Heaven, a new Bohemian Rhapsody, maybe. Not every great song gets its recognition. I hope the song will get an official downloadble single release, so they guys finally make a little money out of their creation. As a musician and songwriter who also had all my own demo tapes rejected, I know how they must have felt all these years - but now the song is out there and people finally love it.
