I have a 2008 M35x, 2007 M45 Sport and 2006 M45 Sport. I hope you get more M’s and fix them up which will allow me to get some pointers on fixing things I haven’t worked on before. For the most part I work on all my cars and enjoy maintaining them and restoring them to near new condition.
Tell you what, I wouldn't take a newer model Mercedes If I was given one, they are cheaply made,lots of plastic and things will easily break,crack and some of the imprint will begin to rub off noticably . Whatever you do, don't use Those expensive fancy silicon base upholstery sheen making products.. Will look good first half dozen applications, at about 6 months or more, I did an application and the imprint ink faded out ..it just looks generic and even more cheap inside a $70K Mercedes, so ya, just wiped off what was left..now a ghostly imprint.. Be careful not to severely damage, Break or even the worst, have your sideview mirror broken off by someone else swiping your car, these Sideview mirror do not fold in Like others do.. These mirrors are available via the manufacturer in Germany ONLY.. @ $900 each, hope you good at DIY.. Thanks CHEAPercedes.. Good luck with that project.. Don't lose that FOB..$250 and up from the dealership..
