In case anyone is wondering, the soap is stacked after cutting, because it needs to "cure", or finish saponifying. This ensures that (a) the remaining lye in the soap has reacted with the olive oil, so it does not burn your skin (which would be _very_ bad), and (b) it lengthens the usable life and effectiveness of the soap. These bars are left in these "towers" for months.

Now I am putting the bar in our bathroom of the apartment we are moving in together soon. Let me tell you that this bar lathers so nicely. This is art. The hard work involved is way too much for a commodity way too trivial but I am sure that these people love their art way too much for machines to let it run. I love this too. Such a therapeutic video too. Would love to buy a dozen or two of these wonderful soaps one day! :)
Honestly though the economics of it are not so bad that it’s not a good gig. Consider the overhead of modern machines, maintenance, parts on hand etc. The work is great for their health and actually maintains them better.

Susan Tea yeah shes the soap expert
Bam Bam 😂😂😂
@kodona ha, ha, ha.....Zionist and their supporters can not handle the truth, as a result, they turn to attacking those who don't agree with their occupation, genocide, ethnic cleansing and Apartheid that they carry out agains the indigenous people of Palestine. Much like those before us who stood-up against slavery in the USA, and Apartheid in S.Africa, we expect ignorant uncivilized zionist and their ignorant blind supporters to attack us. Still we continue to stand on the right side of history and in solidarity forever with Palestine and the native people of Palestine. Palestine forever,...and mark my words, Palestine will be Free.
I bought some because of this video and it’s amazing. Highly recommend
Am Jewish but this are My personal heros, I think you are amazing, extraordinary , good work. Keep it simple, keep it classic, keep the quality. greetings from the other side ;)
Great of you. I am Hindu, Indian, respect. 😊😊😊😊😊🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝
What a difficult job! To work all that soap on the floor has got to be hell on the knees and back! It is hard enough to cut finished soap on a table, but to have to do everything on the floor is much more painful. I hope these men are able to live a nice life after soaping.
My great respect for you all.
It's not just great products.
But already a matter of the heart.
They are special people.
This is art .
I use these products every day.
I wish everyone peace and happiness in the production.
God bless you all !!!!
Wow this is great men you have sharpened my skills. This time i will not strangle with making single bar moulds for my home made bar soap.God bless.
Well done, everything by hand!! A practically hand made soap!
thank you to show process :)
I think it is fascinating!!! See how fast he wrapped those bars
ACCELERATED VIDEO. LOL
I cannot imagine having to wrap a million soap bars by hand
Anarchy Aa
I have to slow the video down to .25 Speed to see how he does it!
how do you slow down a video?
For some reason I feel like biting the soap
Such backbreaking work. These men work so hard. I hope they go home to a good meal and a massage. I salute you.
I love this soap, I bring some everytime I visit Palestine. Love that country !
Simple and beautiful this is there art.
"Their"
An ancient art! Beautiful!
Very cool video. I went and ordered Nablus soap after watching this
I watched this video a year or two ago and I had to buy this soap and I can't believe I found the soap perfect for my skin and it is this.
I want to buy one of these!
Amazon has them for $10 a bar.
They are good sized bars and you can make them stretch by cutting the cube in 3 strips! When it comes to homemade natural soaps cutting pieces off as you need for use, makes them last longer ;-)
No I am not.
supporting israel financially = yes you are.
actually all americans are with their tax dollars when they buy shit. LOL!
Johnnie Cockran Fool, I make my own Allepo soaps. Nice way to assume a discussion about the process means I buy the product.
These are over 800 years old soap factories in the old town of Nablus in the west Bank, long live Palestine 😘😘😘
What is palestine
Long Live The Resistance
*...they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only Son...* [Zech 12 v10; Ps 12 v10; Rev 1 v7; Isaiah 53] The *LORD God Jesus Christ* will set *ALL* of this straight one day soon. "Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call on Him while He is near." Isaiah 55 v6
Utsy Amen brother.
@elijahthesamurai fuck you! Israel the real terrorist!!
Amazing. I’m from USA and I’m still amazed.

Hard working job .. bless you all
Omg! He's so quick with wrapping soaps
I think its cool, keep it traditional! When big corporations get involved sooner than later a great product becomes sub par I love it
Always a pleasure to watch people doing something useful.
الله يعطيكم العافية ، تحياتي من السعودية لأهل فلسطين الحبيبة .
Hope A. شكراً وتحياتنا لأهل بلاد الحرمين الشريفين الشعب الكريم ذو النخوة
The old guy at the beginning waiting for the other guy to move the full bin and then reposition the empty bin in front of him 😂😂😂

Amazing to see how they make the soap there! wish i could wrap soap bars that fast! lol
Tell me the name of the soap
I don't why but this is so satisfying to watch.
Is this video shot in 2014 or in 1950s
At 7:20 the two lines before the top one are wrong it drives me mad
you have a form of OCD go seek treatment and get your health back
They are all like yhat
though i am a mechanical engineer, and part of my job is inventing machines, i really hate how machines are replacing hard workers like those... wonder if machines are blessing or curse..
omar Al Wareh do this job for only one day, my friend, then ask yourself that stupid question....
Nothing wrong with automatization, humans adapt to changes
gotta do the changing process carefully and prepare the workers that will be replaced by the machines to get other jobs. the terrible thing is not the automatization persi, but people losing their jobs and not having any education to do other jobs that are not based on physical force or repeated action (things that machines can and are substituting)
@@Estela130998 also the fact that those who run said businesses sometimes see the easing of work relative to physical labor an excuse to strain their workers mentally instead. Not seeing the toll of the work as easily has had that chilling effect.
It’s it just me, who mainly enjoyed watching the soap wrapping process 😊
I use this soap. It’s the best product out there. I love it. I save the wrappers because they are so pretty
The packaging is the hardest one fever and carrying that bag bucket also might pain the back. God bless them and protect them often
Just watching this is hurting my back. After one row id need a perc lol
Wow. Now thats hard work.
I only buy organic artisinal hand cut floor soap...
mjkulikow LOL
birdman33369, You carnivores sicken me. As a *vegan* I make sure my soap is only fed the most organic plant life possible.
