This is so much more than a soap manufacturing process. It's a cultural heritage! This exact process for making soap has been done in the Eastern Mediterranean region (where olives grow in abundance) for centuries. In fact, the French castille soap is basically this exact soap. The crusaders learned this method from the then-residents of Jerusalem and brought it back with them to France where they still make it to this day
Best to go to Middle Eastern stores or South Asian stores, they exist in areas where immigrants live. I found my Aleppo soap bars there, or other Authentic items for cooking, like spices & vegetables/fruits & desserts
olive oil is more valuable than soap. this is most likely the olive flesh left over from the pressing of olive oil. So they recycle the bi-product of olive oil into a useful product ... soap.

I would rather do this, than the work I do now, I go mentally insane & physically burnt out. If I saw how what I created gave results & how it helps others, that it is natural, I would be very happy to do traditional work
Interesting factory work. Massive amount of soaps being produced. But, how unhygienic of an operation. The dirty feet and shoes walking thru the area. Shoes that possibly were used to walk into a restroom to do business and then back to work. Also, mens hairy legs right on top. No thank you.
In China, in small tea gardens, tea leaves are sorted by hand during feminization. In Spain and Italy, grape berries are trampled underfoot at distilleries. In France, cheese is also mixed by hand. And so on. These are ancient traditions. Although, of course, large corporations are crowding out small farms. But the quality of the products is unlikely to be maintained. Chemicals are replacing natural products.
@@andiv8942 Correct 😉. I guess some don't mind, but I prefer if my soap hasn't been walked on by 6 guys before one of them drags his @rse across it with a cigarette in his lip. I'll take my soap cranked out by a mindless machine made of stainless steel.
