but in another way. That oil in the video is a very old methode. And actually its not for human consuming. Its called Lampanat oil. Ok that oil will not demage your health. But also it has no good taste and its not supporting your Immunesystem. It has nothing to do with the real " Olive oil extra vergine" !

This is not how commercial olive oil is produced. What you see here is the finest olive oil being made in a very old fashion way. Most olive oil is mass produced at the cost of quality.
This is so poetic,and this is the ancient method ,but true extra virgin olive oil must be made differently That oil you see on video is good for burn in the oil lamp, not good for consuption.

@@baxiry. how do they use water for extracting the oil? I imagine that you only get a very small amount of oil like this. Most of it will stay in the olive flesh. The process i have heard from my grandfather envolved donkeys turning the mill and then using hand presses to squeeze out the oil. That is the process they used in northern morocco

People usually lay a tarp under the tree with the family reunited to bake a bowl shape with it to not have to catch each olive that way

In our village in Morocco there is still a mill that uses camels to turn the grinding wheel, but they use water to sort out the oil. And not pressure.
