Arcane is so much fun if your tank keeps an eye on your cds and maybe even the route was a little bit planned around the mage's cds. Burning packs of mobs with >600k is insane! What I don't like about the arcane tree is that supernova can't hardly be picked. For this knock up I'd love to trade in blastwave or ice nova (since it is not necessary anymore to fill the rotation with it, thx @>40% mastery).

Bad thing about arcane is that is hard to maintain a perfect rotation with mechanics... and it becomes worse if you are pugging and the pulls are not good.
So arcane is only reliable when you have a lot of muscle memory and a coordinated group.

The only way arcane works very well if you have a coordinated team especially if the tank and you are on the same page. In a pug its impossible to do well.

Its the same with fire. If the Tank dont big pull when u have combust, u dont perform well.

I love arcane but almost always something goes wrong. Tank pulls small or the most healthy and dies before ToM ends or by the time I get to Arcane surge the ads are almost dead lol so I'm just playing frost until the rework in 10.1.5. it's just easy reliable damage and also safe to use with pugs.

Sparks are for crafted gear. Tier pieces drop from raid

Its a bit inflated atm since most of its strong gear points are gotten earlier rather than later, but will likely remain a strong m+ spec. I expect fire will overtake it as people get 4 set and fire’s trinkets
