    bro thank you so much for this i have my OBM surface grinder attachment but never knew how to use it for tapering tangs im a new maker but this will help me very much just subbed and liked happy thanksgiving Mark😃👍👍

    I thought that you had to double the angle on the second side ?

    i have the same surface grinder i am wondering if i can use it for distal taper. thanks for sharing

      You can, I use mostly the same technique to do this with my surfacegrinder. Works great, tapereing the tang afterwards/before is more timeconsuming, I just to it by hand.

    Good video. Question though what adjustment did you make for the other side? Didi you have to double the measurement? Thanks

      Thanks.. just reset the pin to zero and use the same spacer. Essentially doubling the measurement.

      I've been tapering them by hand on the flat platen. This looks like it's a bit more consistent and repeatable.
