People often use the Digitech Whammy 5's octave up harmoniser to imitate a 12-string guitar, and the octave down mode to imitate bass. I was never a fan of the imitated 12-string effect, but distorted 12-strings in metal and rock are hugely underated/underrepresented for that octave effect. Lead riffage can sound massive already, but add the octave below harmony with some slides up the octave with the pedal and it just gets SOOO BIG (4 notes (sub octave, x2 root + octave) per 12-string pair!)! I do love me some oldschool heavy riffage! Enjoy!
    Equipment used:
    Dunlop .60mm Nylon Plectrum
Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9-46 (2222)
Ernie Ball 12-String Light Nickel Wound Custom Gauge 9-46 (2233)
Homemade "Satin-X" Doubleneck guitar (CGCFAD Drop C Tuning on 6-string, DGCFAD D Standard Tuning on 12-string)
Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz Model Neck and TB-4 JB Trembucker Bridge Pick-ups (x2 each)
    Digitech Whammy 5
    Marshall AVT50x

Ooo! I don't have one of those yet. Closest I have is a homemade Univox style superfuzz, but it's not quite the sound. Thanks for listening :)

Horray! They are super fun (and different sounding). Apart from this one, I've not played many 12-string electrics. I think there's a pretty affordable Squier one now though. That might be worth looking into :) If you can get one with humbucker pickups that'll help for the heavy. Thanks for watching :)

I can imagine Marilyn Manson over the last bit. You should do some sparkly swelling chords with the whammy~

I would like to see this revisited with less of the unplugged guitar sound. I'm going for something similar and am interested in how it sounds

Thanks for watching. I'd like to figure out a better way to record some more direct (non-camera) audio and then get it it resynced to the video
