Wow! Great job! Everything turned out beautiful. Sometimes when I think I goofed on something, it looks better than what I had planned. It’s almost as if that inanimate object knew what it wanted to be and wouldn’t stand for anything else. ❤

I'll have to agree on how things tend to turn out for the better but darn, I wish that vase would have told me sooner 😂 Thank you so much ❤

@@kerid9658 Thank you. I do love the rich brown color and I didn't have anything like it so it was a win after all the trial and error. We appreciate you being here with us on our channel ❤

I Love the Green I wouldn’t have painted ? I have Sage Green in my home .

Thank you for letting me know. I really struggled because I loved the green color, but as I said, I knew I wouldn't use it as much. Sage green is beautiful. We had our master bedroom painted in that color in our old home. It was so soothing. My husband still mentions it. We really appreciate you being with us ❤

You are very welcome. Nothing worse than starting a project and not being prepared. I always do that and think, why didn't I grab that before I got my hands full of paint?? ❤

Pour plain water around the neck all the way around and use a straw to blow the paint downward

What a great idea. I think I'll practice on something first before I tackle the idea on another project 😁 Thank you so much for the tip

Hi. I'm a new subscriber. I love what you are doing and your message. It's beautiful and I really appreciate it.
You have a very similar "style" to mine. I put that in quotes because I really am still enjoying the ride of what is my style? 😊 I would have kept the bowl green. I loved that you checked to make sure the bowl wasn't an antique. Still that apple green, I would have used it all over the place all year long. Maybe not the winter but for the other seasons forsure. The bowl came out great! I'm inspired to try to do the same❤
    Your new friend, Kristine

Hello and welcome to our RUclips family! We are so happy to have you with us. I completely understand about finding your style as I'm trying out some new ideas for our new build we hope to start in early fall. I hope you'll stay with us because I have some Plans....yes, I capitalized that. I have so many ideas that Cory just wants me to stop looking at this point 😁 And we really want our channel to inspire creativity and to help others create spaces they love and feel comfortable in. After all, our homes are where we feel safe and where we can be ourselves, so lets create those spaces together, shall we? ❤❤❤
I loved that bowl green too! It was so hard. I should have left it and gone and found a different bowl to DIY. It's so hard sometimes. But I do love how it turned out too. So happy you found us. We truly appreciate the support ❤

Love all the projects. No, I would have painted the bowl my favorite color blue. You could opt for battery or rechargeable Amazon bulbs. Some of the paint colors are not appealing while going on but the end result is beautiful. Thanks for all the ideas and great tips.

Ok I may have to add to my comment but great video. I want that HL vase so bad but I have enough to fill 2 of my homes ) maybe3..lol) but I would like a new lamp… :) My question though: I never find good lamps at my goodwill (only thrift stores I have) so how hard is it to diy it from scratch?
Ok watched to the end, I really love the way you did the sections of paint then just blended with the water ed down paint. I too have purchased many vases but none has been brown so I have several I’ve gotten to diy. My inspiration was that $98 pot from Mcgee&Co but I ended up getting it, like I always do. You’ve inspired me to still try and diy some diff tones of brown!

Oh, we must be kindred spirits because I have so many vases I could open a shop for a year...lol. In fact, I own that HL vase we just transformed into the lamp. That's how I knew it would look great. I had bought it months before (I did leave it in the original color) and went out and bought a new one for the lamp. Honestly though, can you really have too many vases? 😉
To answer your question on creating the diy lamp from scratch, you certainly can. It will cost a bit more, but they sell kits with necks on Amazon. But even if you pay a tiny bit more for the kit, you will still be way under the high-end table lamp prices. I wish you could see the lamp in person, the color is just amazing with that ombre effect. You definitely need to give it a try.
Thank you so much for being here and supporting us. We appreciate you more than you know!! ❤❤
