It depends on the market. There are times that some tiers are better from the others. All you need to do is to calculate for profit you can use AlbionOnline2D for that.
I like refining too but blocks i deliver it to fortsterling

4. cloth

How many millions did you lose until you got your specs full?
Maybe a couple million like not greater than 10mil. I always use focus while refining and leveling up my spec. So I always earn a little profit or break even and sometimes lose a couple silver.

For personal island if you have enough time to manage them I will suggest to do laborers if you don't have time you can just rent it out to other players.

i want ask refine its must max spec or no . because i have premium and focus point never used.
You need max spec for more profit. But there are some resources too that you can refine and make profit without focus/spec. Also always use your focus, find a profession you want like crafting, refining, growing crops or raising animals.
u can try lower tier to profit like 4,.2
less profit since you low spec

Plant either cabbage or firetouched mullein. Watering plants is not that good in terms of silver per focus. But if you don't have anything to spend your focus on watering plant is good 😊

Low tier refine is profitable too, but you need a mammoth to mass refine low tier resources.
Can sb tell me why ppl are buying t8 bear for 10m and not buying t8 elite bear for 4-5m if it's better?
I will only buy saddled direbear if I have its skin like the panda one. Elite Winter Bear is the same stats as Direbear and its more cheap.
