      Yes, definitely! Thank you for reminding me about it. I just got used to playing without it since I always chose nerdy glasses over night vision goggles in previous versions. Now that night vision goggles are a headwear mod, they should be super useful for a stealth build from now on!

    I am into the legendary phase of a stealth build in 1.0 and it is amazing, currently running T5 pois without "fighting" .. i play with an assassin style, do not enter the way the designers setup but find alternative ways to enter the poi ... when there are triggers for the Zs just run and hide for a few secs and the Zs lose interest and then you can take them easily ... not even getting any damage in T5s!!!

  • @tomfrakey6335

    Thank you for covering stealth as it's an under discussed mechanic. I used to love stealth but they broke it in A21 with the trigger spawns (what I call "got ya" mechanics) and I had to adopt an entirely new play style. It's good to see you can sorta make it work again mostly, but to your point the trigger mechanics will always render it broken. The only suggestion I have is, again to your own point, knowing where the triggers spawns are and having an exit strategy before you enter the room.

    Full tier 6 assassin's armor is crazy good, especially with shotgun with silencer. You can oneshot most zombies, even radioactive. Not the rad bikers, police man and etc. You could easily two-shot them tho, cause they are falling down because their hp went down by half or even more. Can easily do multiple tier 5 infestations back to back within 1 night. They can't see you point-bank, when you are not in any source of light

    Something you may want to consider: according to the text in the Hunter > Hunt Animals Challenge, the stealth damage bonus has a 10-second cooldown. Stealth playstyle is slower to begin with, but now if you want to maintain maximum damage you can't really go on a fast killing spree even if the opportunity presents itself. (This doesn't take perks and buffs into account, though)

    Hello, I discovered your channel and I admit that you made me change my style of play, I love getting into poi in stealth mode now, but the question I ask myself is how to play (solo) your horde j7 and the following? I'm used to making a melee horde base but how do you play? In any case, thank you for this valuable advice!! I love that style

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  24 дня назад

      Hi! Sorry for the late reply. A melee horde base is still doable even with a stealth build, as high agility skills buff bone knife damage and can help with the bleeding effect. It might lack crowd control, but if the base design allows zombies to fall down easily, you can definitely use a knife for melee on Bloodmoon. Aside from melee, I usually take the roof or the side of POI for shooting/using explosives if I don't have materials to build platform :)

    I have a few questions about stealth I want to make a true stealth survivor build so I was thinking about using the bow,crossbow,hunting knife,stun baton,and then pistol and smg for horde nights now my questions are on horde nights can stealth builds be undetectable by hordes on horde night or do they automatically detect u and between the rogue and assassin set which do u think is better even since the rogue set gives u that loot bonus and night time I tend to always be invisible but I need sum tips on how I can probably replicate being invisible like night time 🤷🏾‍♂️ur the only RUclipsr I’m subscribed too that Ik that loves stealth like me😂oh and also with stealth builds any recommendations on how to do horde bases since a lot of ur points will be stealth focused..and can u sneak up close to enemies wit the hunting knife without being detected as long as ur crouched ?

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  24 дня назад

      Hi, unfortunately, Blood Moon hordes will always detect players, whether you're playing stealth or not.
      Another option is to min/max rogue and assassin sets if you really want to go for loot bonuses. If you play on higher difficulty, the assassin set is the way to go because you'll want the damage buff and better protection. However, if you play on default to warrior difficulty, any armor is fine in my opinion.
      The most important thing to make you invisible is the 'From the Shadows' skill. You can increase its effectiveness by equipping the rogue or assassin outfit (the chest armor piece increases sneak effectiveness), and assassin boots help too. Other armor pieces don't contribute to stealth, so you can change those if you like.

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  21 день назад

      @@Bu-sq3kb Full set of scavenger gear gives you better loot quality, but I find this description a bit vague. The rogue hood increases your loot stage, which might yield similar results. The full set also gives you a cash and dukes buff. If I focus on opening loot, I would go for the rogue set. But if you like salvaging, you should go for the scavenger set. Salvaging can result in lots of dukes if you sell the items you salvage (and I find it a very fast way of making money). :)

  • @MChi3f

    Do you need to be undetected for the assassin hood bonus to apply? Or does it buff overall damage while crouching? I cannot find an answer for this anywhere.

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  7 дней назад

      You need to be undetected to apply the dmg bonus.
      Basically think of it as the add-on dmg to hidden strike perks. If you are not hidden, the dmg buff from hidden strike will not apply, same go to assassin hood dmg bonus :)

    Nice video, but i have a question, if you had access to every melee weapon, which one would be the best for a stealth build?

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  Месяц назад

      My answer would be the knife category (bone knife, hunting knife, machete). This is because the weapon skill belongs to the Agility tree and has a 400% sneak damage buff, making it best suited for a stealth build.
      However, if you're looking for an alternative to knives and are okay with investing points in a different skill tree, I would suggest the spear. The spear has a longer range than other melee weapons, which helps with keeping distance. It also has an armor-piercing bonus (if I remember correctly), which is useful. Additionally, it uses less stamina than the sledgehammer, has a higher attack rate, and you can equip the 'Weighted Head Mod' for a bit of crowd control.

    I've always been playing with a stealth build and I'm wondering, why do you use a Hunting Knife and not a machete?

    • @me0w0em
      @me0w0em  Месяц назад +5

      It's just a preference, I think machete is also a good choice :) I usually aim for quicker, multiple hits rather than high damage. At higher difficulty levels, sometimes my machete can't one-shot some zombies. But the hunting knife is quick and consumes less stamina, allowing me to hit repeatedly. My logic is, the more hit you land, the more chance of head dismemberment bonus.

    • @biay481
      @biay481 Месяц назад +3

      @@me0w0em Yes, the machete definitely can't handle the Insane difficulty level, which is why I like to use the sniper rifle on tough zombies. Generally, when I play with a machete lately, stamina is usually enough for me, rarely does it take stamina, and the difference between the speed of strong attacks with a knife and a machete, it seems to me that are very similar (light knife attacks are much faster). Unfortunately, there is no attack speed for strong attacks on the wiki.

      Hi! Non-primitive weapons can have different stats, so handguns might have different magazine sizes even if they’re the same quality. They can vary by about ±15% from a base number (I'm not 100% sure about % number), meaning a higher-quality gun doesn’t always have better stats. (Sometimes, a level 4 can be better than a level 5.) So, it’s always a good idea to compare stats before swapping weapons!
