Congratulations! I’m so happy for you both. Babies grow fast so don’t worry so much about the size you’re knitting, just enjoy, and remember that babies wear diapers which will take up space.

Congratulations ❤ I’m a mom of 3 boys ! Yay boy moms 😂 I’m 41 currently and my oldest is 17, middle son 15 and my youngest is 20 months. He was our surprise baby. Enjoy ur pregnancy because time goes by so fast and that baby that you were imagining their features will be going off into the world. It’s an amazing crazy journey parenthood. And you’ll love every minute of it
I have one sibling. She is 14 years older than I am. We were not necessarily close growing up because we were so far apart. But in our adult years (after I finally grew up), we are best friends.

Congratulations to you both! You are always such a positive person and now you are positively brimming over with joy. Children are such little miracles, and every day your heart will overflow with love. Enjoy all the emotions and worries and second guessing...it's all good and meaningful and proper. No matter how much you feel you are failing, at any given moment, your child would rather have you and your imperfections than any other person in the world because YOU are their mother and that is more important than any shortcomings. You are going to be a wonderful mother!
Congratulations! I became a grandmother this year and I started knitting baby clothes - I highly recommend knitting baby cardigans rather than sweaters as babies hate having things pulled over their heads!
So happy for the both of you! Under the other video, some viewers guessed it and (after gasping) I rewatched the vlog for clues, haha. So happy for you both! I actually started knitting when I was pregnant, it was during COVID. She's 2.5 now and knitting for her is one of my favourite things. Fills me with pride to see her in something I've made. That and it's alot quicker than knitting for yourself 😅 tearing up watching your trepidation, so many including myself feel the same at the beginning of pregnancy, hopefully you can begin to relax into the journey more and more as time goes on. So excited for you both though! So excited for all your future projects ❤
I guessed it! I am in my 60s and I have 4 children. As for being prepared, nobody is! You might think you are, but there are always surprises. It will come naturally. Don't be nervous, you'll be fine. Babies are surprisingly resilient. Just do your best.

Welcome to motherhood. Lots of excitement and always a bit of terror. Even now that they are 33 and 36, I still have those feelings.
I am very happy for you both. The clothes will fit at some point!!
🥰 Yep after marriage comes a baby. Happy busy knitting. Try not to put the needles down too long after the baby is born. I hope you will have lots of love, help and support with the new bundle of joy.

The baby knit is very nice. New born babies are not sleeping with straight arms and legs, so it's ok to knit a little bit oversized. Happy for you, and wish you very best in the most important project in your life ❤
Congratulations. I have 4 kids. Three boys and 1 girl. Now I have 4 grandchildren. Three girls and 1 boy. Two of which are twins. This all happened in one year. I am knitting some sweaters for them for Christmas. God bless ❤

Congratulations to you both! Becoming parents for the first time is an exciting joyful experience. My oldest "baby" turns 17 on Sept 27 and I can't believe how the years have flown by.
Beautiful baby knit ! It will fit beautifully ! By the time the baby is ready to to wear it it will be perfect! it is so nice to have it larger!

Congratulations!!!!! Baby's first knit is beautiful and will get lots of wear. My 'mom advice'....use your clothes dryer as a changing table; perfect height, warm, makes a vibration for soothing and you can pop in a towel to heat for baby to lay on while changing. Everything will come to you, there is no one answer for raising an individual. Relax and enjoy!
Oh, also, knitting for babes is so hard because they grow so fast. So acknowledge you are confort knitting for yourself 😂 Good for meditation and endorphin production which is super healthy for momma + baby! Newborn knits can be hard because they are usually messy so young and we are so tired in the first 3 months or so with a newborn. When given the choice of washing and blocking a newborn knit or sleep, most moms would probably choose sleep at that time. A knit in a size that fits about 9-12 months or up you'll definitely know the baby will wear a lot. You'll have gotten more sleep 🤞🏻 and you'll be used to all the new routines and systems.

Congratulations! In America, we call the baby garment you're making is called an onesie. I think that's because its pants and top together. Onesie are so very useful. Just pop baby in and go. You certainly sound like a new mom to be! Very anxious and unsure. And positive and crazy happy. Babies grow so fast, it will fit some time! Get sleep now! You won't get much for the rest of your life!
Great, maybe we’ll see baby knitting. I have grandkids, specifically a new grandson soon to be 1 yr old. Still not walking yet but he’s the cutest baby ever… of course everyone says that about their children and grandkids, however… he really is cute and smart. I smile every time I think about him or see him. So for Christmas I will be knitting a sweater for him.
A huge congratulations! I noticed your bump whilst you were in the second yarn shop lol. I’m so excited for you! I have 2 boys, both grown up now and my knitting journey really took off when I was pregnant with the first. Trust me, they don’t stay small for long, so even if your baby knit is a bit big, they will soon grow into it and if you keep your leftovers you could always make alterations later on 😊
i went the other way around - i started making baby sweaters for anyone i know who gets pregnant, and that taught me how to make sweaters for myself! you're doing a great job. you could consider a zipper (i've heard parents say fiddling with tiny buttons can be frustrating sometimes). if you don't like how the buttonholes look, the buttons will cover them! it's ok :)

Your are looking into the unknown which is always scary. All women are faced with the same questions that you are thinking about now. Being a parent will always be a mystery in that you will always have questions when new situations come up. None of us know what we are doing. But when you hold your baby in your arms for the first time and look into their eyes, the love you feel is all you will need. You will want your baby to be safe and happy and healthy and that's all that will matter. So try to relax and enjoy every moment of your pregnancy. Every day is a new experience and full of new wonders. Congratulations!

Pregnancy dreams can be WILD! You're already such a great mother caring and worrying about being a great mom, but don't worry none of us know what we're doing and I say that coming from someone who spent my entire life with babies and children before having my own. I thought I would be so prepared...but nothing compares to motherhood, you don't know who your unique baby is and how you'll change when it's your own.

I also have two children. Raising a child is hard work, but at the same time it goes by so fast, so please enjoy it.

Your videos are very touching, your projects are very beautiful, comfortable and cozy! Your fears and worries are very familiar to me! I started knitting and needlework while expecting motherhood. Then I knitted a lot for my daughter and for myself. I think the ability to create something with your own hands, to do it with love and care, is the best thing you can do for your baby! You will be a wonderful mom! The best mom! Always listen to your heart! Take care of yourself!
Don’t worry about size. Knit the next one smaller. They make snaps on ribbon for the inseam/ crotch area for nappy/diaper changes. You can add plastic or metal snaps too. The snaps on ribbon are the best or even buttons.

Oh my word, congratulations on the coming baby! That's super exciting! I'm legit so happy for you. Yeah, baby sizes range like crazy - some are teeny tiny, and some are beeg! And if you knit something that doesn't fit the little one, you can always donate it - lots of parents who would appreciate that. :)

Congratulations! I barely knew which end was which when we had our son - he's 18 now and survived me being a total novice. When they say it goes by quickly, they're not wrong! The baby knitting is gorgeous :)

Congratulations! :) pregnancy is very special time:) I bought bodies from size 56 an size 62 and managed to use them as my measurements for knitting (a little bit looser). Eventually, now we have so many patterns for baby's..oh, now I will wait more 10-15 years for my grandkids:D to knit for them :)

Congratulations!! Those fears are all *very* normal. The time will pass and hopefully your fears will dissolve as things progress and you learn how to adjust.
I think the overalls look very proportional. Babies are all different sizes and if it ends up a little roomy, it’ll just fit longer 🙂 Plus you need to leave room for the puffy diaper 😉

Yay congrats! 😍 I’m eight months pregnant myself and somehow sensed this was coming 😅 I’ve already knitted a cardigan for my baby girl and purposefully made it in a bigger size so that she’ll be able to wear it longer. I’m looking forward to all the baby clothes patterns you’ll make!
I am 6 months pregnant and I sensed it too! How funny! I think I saw her drink orange juice instead of champagne in one of the last 2 videos and I suspected, lol!

Hurjan paljon onnea! Muistan kun joskus (1,5 v sitten?) videollasi oli, että toivotte vauvaa, olet ollut useasti mielessä sen jälkeen tuon asian tiimoilta. Omasta kokemuksesta tiedän ettei vauvoja niin vain tehdä... Ihana uutinen! Itselläni on myös ihana tilanne, että minusta tulee mummi, lähes samoja aikoja kuin teille syntyy pieni. Itse sain oman tyttäreni samaan aikaan kun täytin 22 v ja nyt tyttäreni odottaa omaa esikoistaan eikä ihan ehdi täyttää 22 v, kun vauva syntyy (jos kaikki menee hyvin). Itse olen vielä nuori mummi ja jaksan hyvin olla heidän apuna. Olen ollut onneni kukkuloilla jo ihan mummiudesta :) Kaunis haalari! Minäkin olen neulonut paljon haalareita viimeisen vuoden aikana lahjaksi. Petite Knitillä on kivoja ohjeita, mutta ymmärrän, että neulesuunnittelijana haluat itse ratkoa / miettiä vaatekappaleiden rakenteita :) Ihanaa odotusta
Congratulations-this is a very exciting time for sure. My babies are now 33 and 28. WOW, has time flown. The best advice someone gave me is to enjoy each part of your child’s development-sometimes fun, sometimes tough, but always joyful in the end. Best of luck for an easy pregnancy.

Babies grow so fast! Sometimes you can spend more time knitting than they spend fitting what you made (you are a fast knitter so that may not be the case for you. 😉)
Make some larger garments for later, because knitting time will be limited when your arms are full of baby.
Pay attention to the seasons such as they are where you live. You don’t want to make something very thick and wooly that will only fit in the hottest part of summer!
Soon you will feel the baby moving and that is a very exciting time. Savor it!

I could tell even before you said anything, you are blooming! Knitting for kids is so much fun. Now mine are grown up it is lovely to see old photos where they are all wearing the things I knitted. I never conformed to pink/blue - my daughter looked lovely in blues. Congratulations!

I’ve got a grandson Ioan age 9 and both my daughters had a baby on the same day they are both 6 Tomos was 5 weeks early my 2nd daughter 1st baby and Meleri a sister for Ioan!
My 2nd daughter was trying for a second child but she needed IVF and became pregnant on the final try
Lydia Martha is 5 weeks now she’s gorgeous we are thrilled to bits!

Don’t worry we all feel like that I remember thinking when I was leaving hospital with my first daughter Glesni I need the nurses to come home with me I can’t be in charge of a baby! 😸 those thoughts don’t last long you’ll be a wonderful mother and wonderful parents! 🙌🙌🙏❤️💜❤️
Congratulations! I am so happy for you both. This is incredibly relatable. Most of my pregnancy I was so excited and not worried. But there were definitely times where I was very aware of how little I knew about anything! Being a parent is very humbling but also empowering in my experience so far. You know nothing, and your baby’s individual needs will be something you have to puzzle out. They will change so frequently, and you’ll have to pivot with them. Over and over. It gets so much easier over time. You’ll still be adapting and guessing, but you’ll get more comfortable doing that! I learned to knit (anything more than a straight line) via your tutorials here, and then I had the skills to knit a little baby pixie hat for our boy before he was born. It was so sweet to see him wear it and know that I made it with love for him. So thank you for your tutorials. It was so fun to see it when it was so big on his small head his first winter, and then it stretch to fit him as he was bigger until it struggled to cover his ears. I need to make a new one for this coming winter, but feel quite out of practice! 😅😂 You both will be amazing parents to this little one, your baby is already so loved. 💗 - Alexandra
