This was awesome. In the plumbing supplies I had on hand, I found a one inch PVC "T" will accept a 3/4 inch coupling. That glued in then allowed me to insert different lengths of pipe until I achieved the height I was wanting in the grow bed. For the bell, I slipped on inch and a half ABS. The "T" fits into this. Again, thanks for the video. It's working perfectly.
Sugar Land Aquaponics What a nice sistem, you can use the entire growbed 🤔, thanks for the video, great work, its the best that i can do, in english, sorry if i made a mistake.
You could also use about 30 seconds of heat gun, to heat up the reducer to fit the 3/4 pipe thru without sanding, if you have an exact 3/4 holesaw. Just have a water bottle or spray bottle to keep outer shell of pvc from getting soft. Warning, do not breathe the fumes from heated pvc or sanded pvc. Toxic chlorine gas is by product. Use well ventilated area, and respiratory protection. Also, using a copious layer of primer will dissolve a thin layer of PVC for fusion during gluing process. You could most likely just slide the pipe in quickly if you are fast enough at priming and gluing.
I'm planning to build a concrete fishpond but I still don't understand how to make external bell syphon..maybe because I don't see how you put it in the container ..
Do you feel like the siphon has trouble with the side input pipe being too small? I saw a similar build but somebody didn't use the reducer on the input, and instead had the 1-1/2in pipe going into the side of the growbed. Do you think I should go with the diameter input larger pipe, or does your design still work well?
Sugar Land Aquaponics ah maybe it is my phone but i already put it in onto full volume, but any thanks a lot, i just want to start my own aquaponics thats why I'm watching some of your video to learn about it... thanks again
I Guess we just need a better headphone to hear u :P ...Anyways the video was quite informative but incomplete...dint get to see the whole thing work and to resolve any problems that this system may have..God Bless!! :D
You keep saying 3& 1/4” when it is pronounced “three quarter inch”, not three AND a quarter inch, … No, I’m not the grammar police, but at first I thought you were using some weird metric measurement, then after you repeated it around 20 times, I finally figured out that you were mis-pronouncing the proper, “Three Quarter inch” term, …
3/4 pvc is the inside measurement you really need a 1" or more likely 1 1/4" hole saw, also you need a microphone as your audio is very hard to hear, so speak up or get a mike , also look at some form of phone holder so you bring the pipe to the phone not the other way around I am a sailor and you made me sea sick

Qué buen sistema, se puede aprovechar todo el espacio de cultivo de esta manera, gracias por el vídeo, muy buen trabajo 👍🙂
Hojaloha I don't speak any other language other than English. Could you please translate what you're saying. Thanks.

Hojaloha thank you!
Your video is awesome but you never showed inside your grow bed can you show it at some point r it’s just no pipes inside?

What kind of plastic barrel is it? Did you cut it into half? Any leaking? Thanks
Could you show the inside of the barrel, please? Thanks

I'm watching on a crappy smart phone and can hear you just fine. everyone expects a studio production from normal people. keep at it you're doing fine
Thats killer...want to do same for 3 set ups like that run one to the other stepped down do you have to worry about lid end leaking??
Great vid, heard and understood everything clearly.. Would love to see this in action if possible...

I'm definitely going to give this a go, thank you very much! :)
Thanks for the video. Did you ever measure the rate it discharge water?
Various Curious not yet. I still have to get the media.
ótima dica sobre o sifão Bell !!!👏👏👏
Great design. One question what stops the media going into the bell siphon?
How high will this siphon lift the water?
Great video!
i cant understand people who negative a video when someone is trying to help others, whats that all about
Christian Bourne thank you for understanding
yes He's trying his best but i hope he make it loud to fully understand what he is trying to explain.
Adrian Ramos I did look at the video and the audio appears to be fine. I did use a microphone, but I'll try to make it better next video.

Best Design!
What's the siphon in the barrel?
Great design!
It didnt help thats why. Didnt explain how the external bell siphon works. All talk about what he use and etc but didnt explain how it works.
excellent!

I believe the concern would be that you keep saying "3 1/4" when you mean "3/4".. makes it very hard to follow...
please put microphone near to mouth..we could not hear what you are saying

Too complicated.
Dwee
that seems to be a hell of a lot of work buddy, and very over engineered :/
Useless...
Way 2 complex for me.ill stick with the traditional design..
that was a waste of time
