BBC1 fire at Television Centre - menu and closedown (24.02.1994)

This video is a reupload from OutTHERE85 - this came from an archive.org cache, so obviously this has been through quite a bit of compression.
On the evening of 23rd February 1994, Television Centre was evacuated. This was due to a 'small fire' as continuity announcer Peter Brook says.
This interrupted BBC1 and BBC2's schedule. At the time of interruption, BBC1 was airing the film 'Blazing Saddles', and BBC2 was airing olympics coverage.
What you see here is BBC1's perspective, unfortunately it starts just when they return to TVC, so you don't get to see how it was pulled off-air.
