Thank you SO MUCH for explaining the way a man leads his partner. Dancing is so easy and so much fun with the man truly knows how to lead, the lady can do ANY thing!
To all salsa wannabe's . ***IMPORTANT***:Note that you can click on the gear icon in the lower right hand part of the video and slow this or any video down. This is very useful to see what's going on when the instructor isn't thinking about instructing and is just having fun. Sometimes the instructor isn't able to communicate what needs to be done because they either arent good communicators or they forget. For me its been alot easier to watch than to listen to instructions as I am a visual learner. I hope this helps everyone.
her posture is amazing always on point and he's also a good instructor very easy to follow, I can now start learning something I should've a long time ago
The reason I am watching a salsa tutorial is that it has been nearly a year since I danced and I am getting ready for a big date on Saturday night! I find this very easy to follow. The instructor is excellent and the director and producer of the video really knew what to they are doing. ¡Muchísimas gracias!
I've been watching your videos for years and I honestly believe that you post the absolute best tutoring salsa videos on the net. I know so because I have attended several dancing lessons. Well done! Greetings from Greece!
Learning salsa for my Hispanic boyfriend, he loves to dance around the kitchen with me and I can’t dance to save my life, no rhythm and very very klutzy😅
This is by far the best video on salsa basic steps I have seen so far. Every step is very well explained, including the signals for the lead. Movements are gracious and at the right pace. They focus the camera at the right part of the body, and the quality of the image is awesome. Congratulations guys.
Thank you. I teach Salsa and I sent this to my beginners because it was the most clear and concise video I found in about 20 reviewed so thank you. I stressed that there were always small differences in how everybody teaches and I will mention a few not to criticize but just share my approach. The written text mentioned that stepping on the 2 and 5 were just weight shifts but actually watching you, you are picking up your feet slightly which I always stress b/c I want beginners to step everything out to help with their timing knowing that good dancers will fudge it without losing count. Rather than just pivoting on the ladies 6 I suggest picking up and putting down the R foot. One other thing I try to present the 4 and 8 not as holds, true you dont step on them but your foot should be moving in mid air so your movement is smooth. Small points, I thought I'd share, but thank you for sharing your wisdom and time in an excellent video. Abuelo Salsero, Jack Wolf.
This tutorial was amazing! The explanations were great! The video was well put together. I can't say that I'll be able to do those steps anytime soon. But all I know is that I'll use this video as a great reference while I give salsa another try! Thanks again!
I need to fresh up my memories. I took some lessons last year but because of Corona I stood still. Too long. Never stop dancing!! That's the most important thing what I learned for now. It's one o clock and I am far from sober . ;-)
thank you for sharing this video. in the past month a have begun to see style dancing as an outlet for emotions. i have been taking private lessons now for 4 times an hour and i get the basics and some turns of the jive, cha cha, rumba, foxtrot, english walsch and the tango. although they have been fun to learn my real passion is with dances like the salsa and samba in which you can use more of your body. this video has been really helpfull to begin in my journey of salsa and showing my passion for the dance. thank you Addicted2Salsa for sharing thsi video with the world. x
thank you thank you...I went out with friends and came across this beautiful dance and music...However I m far from a beginner never danced...you have made this so simple for people like me ..again thank you!
Im gonna have my quince and i’m playing this video for two of my gringo friends that don’t know how to baila pero, whoever else is here learning for someone’s quince i promise u it means sm to the girl that ur learning how to dance for her quince
This is sooo clear and precise!! Just the video I was looking for! Thanks so much! I'm hoping my fiance and I could learn some dances for the wedding to spice things up! I'm def subscribing :-)
We did salsa dancing at our wedding (which was last July). It was fresh and fun - we even got the crowed involved half way through the dance to transition the party and get everyone on the floor.
Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I have my first social coming up this weekend, so thanks very much for everything you've posted over the years!
Thank you so much for all the amazing material you have and the great lessons. It has been an amazing help for me and my small dance group with my friends!!!!
We have a Salsa Week in school. I mean, not everyone. You can close what you wanna do in these days, there are special offers. I chose Salsa and tomorrow it‘ll start and I wanted to know something before.😂thx you did well❤️
@@muscabjamal9589 you don't need a party to start practicing! There's so much you can do on your own! It's even better to start alone I'm speaking from experience dancing teaching and performing for 12 years
Wow. Glad to see you're still going Anthony. Been watching your clips since your first ones in 2006. Hair a little longer these days, whilst I've been losing mine. lol. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, hopefully I can get those basic steps down and I wont be made fun of anymore. Still dont have the hips to make the moves look smooth. Still stiff
Your instructions are very clear, in the right speed and very easy to follow due to a good amount of repeatings. But i would like to learn Salsa Cubana first since my friend is already very familar with Salsa Cubana, do you or anyone else know a good page with free tutorials on Salsa Cubana? I did only find relatively bad tutorials compared to yours...
I struggle so bad with partner dancing and salsa dancing. I've had lessons twice and it still feels completely unnatural. This is so embarrassing for me because believe it or not, I'm Cuban American and living in Miami. Knowing how to salsa dance is almost a requirement. It's embarrassing when I say I can't really dance salsa, and people look at me like I'm from Mars. "But aren't you Cuban" they say with a twisted face. Truth is, I grew up in family that never danced and never went to parties. My mother really never thought to teach me. And I really grew up in schools that were completely Americanized. I grew up dancing to The Romantics, U2 and The Police. An 80's MTV kid. It messes with your social life a bit because you're expected to know it. My ex wife didn't care... I think. I've got to at least learn the basic moves this video teaches. Otherwise, they may kick me out of Miami for good!
Don't feel bad. That's because you was born and raise in America. I'm Puerto Rican. I was born and raise in New York City. I had to teach myself how to dance salsa because my family are just the same as your family. You will learn, it just takes practice.
:( I went to this party the other day and I guess the ladies there thought I could dance so I gave it a try (which I can't)... I took a mad L, I was the embarrassment of the party and I'm Ecuadorian. I promise that next time I pull up, imma prove all them wrong 😈🤘
BAESIKLI bro I'm taking this girl on a date and she wants to go salsa dancing but I don't even know the basics which I told her, but she's persistent on we go. Time to swallow my pride and just dance
I agree it is a good idea to start with less turns and more variations of the same simple moves to give you the confidence... . . I have some cool tutorials on my channel doing just that 😀

That looks fun!!! especially when she's spinning around :D
This is amazing, but you wont learn it unless you do it physically i mean with a partner and an instructor to correct your posture
I am going to learn how to Salsa dance. Thank you so much for the lessons. God Bless
