I actually want to over-analize this or put out my silly brain thoughts so-
I think the doe is talking about many animal predators (mostly wolves I'd say, but many other animal predators work) always being at their house. And after all the times they suffered from the animal predators, they stand up against the wolf, which was the lead of their problem!
Orr- to take it in real life matter: a person stands up for themselves after everyone just keeps using them and then throwing them away when they're not needed anymore!!
