I want lenses with aperture rings (thank heavens for Voigtlander and vintage Nikon glass!). An FTZ adapter that allows using the aperture rings on those old lenses is also on the wish list.

I bought Sigma ART 24-35mm f/2 and 135mm f/1.8 last year and they both are amazing.
Zoom full frame: 18-40 f5.6 small (less than 8cm) and lightweight (less than 400g). Prime full frame: 28mm f1.8.
Favorite F mount are for me the new 24mm , 58mm ( G ) and 105mm f1,4 lenses. All those three have similar character rendering and have created some of my favorite images with those and Df/D4 :) Then the Voigtlander 58 you mentioned is also a favorite non nikon lens i use on my FM3a. My wish list lens is like you said Kon, we agree alot in that regard :) A smaller lens with dedicated apurture ring like the M mount lenses . Similar size and built. Would be amazing :)
The VM 35 1.4ii is one of my all time favorite lenses. Stopped down its sharp without being over-clinical, wide open it behaves very very similar to Pre-asph Summilux. Ive been using it on the ZF and can say it works pretty good and plays nicely with the ZF sensor. What a time to be alive.
Macro lenses one area Nikon could really dominate. DX - 120mm macro, Fx 180mm & 270mm all macros. They should also make stacking software to go with these lenses. It's niche but would expand into all sorts of market segment domination that phones will simply never cover.
The 300mm 2.8 s lens. I already own the Z mount 1.4x and 2x teleconverters.
I think definitly more fast primes for Nikon aps-c, perhaps a 30mm 1.2 or 33mm 1.2 or 27mm 1.2 like Viltrox....
May be a surprise, but I would very much like a Z fisheye lens. Otherwise my ideal lens would be a 8mm-600mm f1.2 superzoom at size less than 300mm long and less than 1kg in weight, with VR. Would be happy with that, but guess it is physically impossible (or is it Nikon?). My current outstanding lens is the Plena - superb, my best lens by far. Sorry was working during the live stream
one of my favourite lens was Nikkor 20-35mm f2.8 in the film day
There is a gap in the lens map now, if Nikon could pull off a 300mm F2 TC, taking into account the physics of it with the 400mm F2.8 TC and how light it is and going further than the 200mm F2 AFS
How about a 200mm Macro that can do 2x if desired, wouldn't that be crazy, but I would settle for 1:1 200mm Macro. Know a few folks that won't buy a 105 Macro, 200mm or nothing for them.
I'm waiting for a Z 28 f1.8.
I would LOVE a Z 70-300mm VR lens.
Dream lenses, to me, are those, I don’t own….I want all the Voigtlander Z mount lenses (I have 40mm & 58mm F mount)…..but of lenses that don’t exist yet, a Nikkor 35mm f1.2, 12mm prime for Z mount. I also agree that small lenses for the Zfc/Zf, even if manual focus….I bought a MF Pergear 35mm f1.4 Z mount, and love its form factor

A 50mm pancake as small as the 26
For the apsc I would like a bright and light zoom like a 18-70mm 2.8 and a 70-200 f.4. That would prevent me from being tempted to buy one of those small full frames from other brands like the Canon R8 or the Sony A7c. But why not a small Nikon full frame much lighter than the current z5. Each and every one in less than 450 gr. please.
I would like to have a 42mm f2.8 same size as the 26mm would be cool for the Zf 😝😝( similar to the 45mm f4.5 I think for the F mount a proper unicorn )

85mm swirl with adjustable bokeh like lomography Petzval 80.5 f/1.9. My favorite lens is Lensbaby twist 60. Looking forward to the lomography petzval. Wondering if Nikon will get into retro inspired lenses
Over the years I’ve gone from SLRs and trying to have a lens for every occasion, and carrying them all with me, to some rationalisation. I’ve just sold my D610, 105 DC (my favourite and most used lens), 70-200, 50 1.8 and 20 2.8, and bought a Z8, Plena and 85 1.2. I walk around with one lens or the other and shoot to my style and the look and feel that I like - the 105 DC gave that, as do the 85 and the Plena, which are both a pleasure to use, and a lot easier. So, a third lens would have to complement that. So far, I’ve not felt a need for anything else, but I’d like to try the Noct 0.95 but I finished with manual focus lenses years ago so I’d like to request a Noct 0.95 with AF please!

Wish I saw this stream live! But, my favorite dream Nikon lenses are 200mm F2 G VRII, 58mm F1.4 G and 135mm Plena, drop the mic😆 …grateful to own🙏🏻
Kon, torn between getting the the Z 14-30 mm for wide angle work, I already have the Z28-75mm f2.8. I may decide to switch that lens out for the 24-120mm f4. Any thoughts? Bill Prescott, AZ
Just got the (imperfect) 35 F1.4 for Z. I'd love to see what the 35 F1.2s could produce.
My dream lens WAS the 105mm f1.4…. I purchased it used a few weeks ago and it was everything I hoped it would be. I would like to see Nikon make a 55mm F1.4 non S lens. I love that they made the recent 35mm F1.4. If I didn’t already have the Tamron 35mm F1.4 I would have purchased it.
I love the 50mm F1.8 and would love to get the 50mm f1.2 but not at the current price. I really love the long 50’s 55mm 58mm. A little more compression and surprisingly the Bokeh is usually better

Nikon should add an aperture ring and a bayonet in metal to its SE line… this would avoid me to buy expensive voigtlander lenses. Then with these constraints deliver a 105mm f2 and a Z version of its 58mm f1.4. Mainly Nikon should think to make his lenses smaller. When you see what sigma did with its 85mm f1.4 passing form his big-heavy dg hsm’to its dg dn line and gaining in quality, I think Nikon could do more compact lenses without optical quality sacrifices. Last Nikon could have done a ftz adapter for the afd line. It s really a pity loosing the AF on these lenses.
