As a very young boy I got to watch films every week at my local cinema. My heroes were Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott. Both fine actors, both fine gentlemen, and I learned a lot while watching them beat the baddies. No young lad had better role models. I absorbed their qualities, and hope I have lived up to them. I constantly try to emulate them. I'm a better person for having had them in my life. Really enjoyed the video. Ms. Dee sure was one beautiful lady.

Its wonderful that the Public can tour the Ranch, yet its somewhat sad that the family isnt still living on the property, in the home, he worked to have and keep.
I hope the family will always maintain a connection to Joel's Dream and his place of living.
Emotions, what define our Human side.
    Beautiful Documentary af9r Archiving.
    Best Thoughts ...

I just have to drop things, to watch an old westerns film. Especially his films were taking a person back in time. His ranch most have been a sight for sor eyes and a welcome sight to see when returning to it. It seems like the older he got the films became more of him. Experience shows in his movies, they fit him so well.
He's surely missed, but he still lives in his movies and in our minds and hearts.

I was raised in Thousand Oaks California. My mom use to wait on Joel and Francis when they would come in to the Thousand Oaks Howard Johnson fir breakfast. My mom said Joel and Francis were two of the nicest, most diwn to earth couple. Not a phony bone in their bodies. As a kid (raised around horses) I had a crush on Joel McCrea, and I wanted to married a guy just like him.

History, even as recent as the 20th Century, particularly when its about an individual, family, town, or state, is so interesting to me, always has been.
The fly in the ointment of History Studies has been the limiting, forced, ideology of the "Mainstream Academics" and their "19th Century Theory based Paradigm and Linear Timeline" they use as their fact foundation.
(I won't bore you with all the details, but their practice of their Paradigm and their refusal to consider alternative theories or accept Peer Reviewed Findings that don't support their Paradigm Perspective and/or Timeline, are behaviors and actions that do not meet the original "Academic Standards" or the "Standards of Science and Research").
However, for this video's subject, we can enjoy the details, knowing that family and film are resources that offer great fact values.
It is a delicious experience to journey a History subject with confidence in the story and its points. (When it has been filtered by Mainstream Academics, particularly Archaeologists, every story has the (Theory(s) clinically applied and they each take on the "Same Story/Different Title", feel.)
Keep a good thought, it's changing for the way better, greater facts, and will be far more information and fun!!!
