Absolfuckinglutely!! Also my fav Deftones track period! Criminally underrated! Not to mention how tasty Stef's leads and TONE both are in this tune. Seriously a one way ticket to TONE CITY!!

Let's just appreciate how under the radar this song is. Everyone talks Rosemary, Tempest, etc. Gauze has a very good verse, chorus, Franks layers on top and guitar is fire. Good all around song.

@@mistermildor it really is. I consider my self an older fan (I am 37) so I grew up on Around the fur. I tend to like their older stuff but Koi is in my top 3. Didn't really appreciate it when it first came out but front to back it's good. Not many songs I skip ( maybe 2).
I think the whole album is truly underrated. It's my personal Deftones fav and honestly most likely my favorite album of all time so far. I have a streamer friend that likes Deftones a lot too, even the newer stuff but is still one of those "Nothing will ever beat White Pony" guys. White Pony will ALWAYS be iconic for what it was at the time and putting them in the spotlight but Koi No Yokan, to me, is them finally taking everything they've experienced and learned in the studio and using it all to its fullest potential.
This is my favourite song from the album. One of the best chorus of their catalogue, imo.

Koi No Yokan is a banger IDGAF what anyone says.
It’s personally my favorite album along with Diamond Eyes. I know everybody loves White Pony, but to me it’s not as refined or mature as these two. The lyrics in WP are… yeah lol

Around the fur white pony diamond eyes and KNY are all master pieces in my opinion definitely can’t say which one is best just whatever mood your in .. love all their albums though special songs in each one

A year after this comment, and I relate 100%. This band means more to me than I could ever know. Eternally grateful for their presence in my life. This band is beautiful.
Every day as I leave home to go to work, I always start my drive with My Own Summer, that drum intro always kicks the day off right.
Amazing how many different ways Deftones can mix heavy and low gravity vibe into one.

It has always been there. That synth is the reason this is one of my top favourites, along with Risk, When Girls Telephone Boys and Bloody Cape.
@@Xombiefood Frank is so so talented. He takes great songs and makes them give you goosebumps. This song and Minerva are examples where Frank shines through. And Risk.

i enjoy watching these videos. it definitely showcases what can be done with an 8 string guitar where it's not about reinventing the guitar but rather add some nuances to the bottom. there's nothing flashy in stephen's playing and i like that. he's just trying to serve the song. that is what great guitar player should be and that's why the deftones should be more in the conversation of great metal bands.

It took my about a year to realize how good this song is its like a hidden gem i love this song its like a roller coaster ride.

Yes Alice in chains has new singer but Laynes personal demons were the storyline. Stone temple pilots can't replace Scott wieland imo. Haven't heard anything about soundgarden in year's.
As for Tool I wish they'd make an album that reminds us of aenima.
