@@gracec3418 Thank you. She was especially tough as for health reasons I had to put her down. My childhood dog had died when I was away at college and my second dog died in her sleep but I had to make that sad decision this time. Even though you know it's the right thing to do it's the worst. Still my old girl had 16 good years and her kidneys went quickly so she didn't suffer long. Thanks for your kind thoughts
@@mikegalvin9801 Bless you - That was a really tough call. My Mum had a Sealpoint Siamese that was her soul-twin somehow - both of 'em very, very picky 😊. Well, the little cat lived long, but got kidney problems. My Mother couldn't bear having the cat on dialysis, so pretty soon she had the Vet put Little Amber to sleep.
It tore her up though. She didn't tell any of us for 6 months - couldn't talk about it. Just kept saying Amber is fine, she's at the Vet's having treatment.
It really is so tough losing them. But like you said, all we can do is give them their best life, and see that they don't have to suffer pain or hardship.
I feel bad for you though. A cat is a great companion, but a dog is halfway to human. Maybe more than that. It is a really tough parting.
