Love from the other side of the adriatic 🇮🇹! Hope that the people of Yugoslavia will work through the hate and unite once again to find their own way towards greatness like this music.
With modern music they over compress the audio so that it sounds louder, this drastically decreases the dhamic range of the music. This is why 80s music has more soul / enotion because it has a much higher dynamic range. Modern music isn't played, it's blasted at you.
Wow this was all made and recorded in Yugoslavia, while I have heard about people and bands here, Iliriana Riza is a total and complete surprise. Great that you have included an Albanian-Yugo artist in the Yugo funk tape shows it was an open country to everyone. Musicians on this mix (unlike let's say musicians from other countries like Szabó Gábor who had to run away from Hungary to make his music), all made and played their music in Yugoslavia and then somebody says that the country was not open, ha ha ha what a bullshit. This mix proves how avant-garde it was, vastly more so than any neighbouring country apart from Italy.
In France, we were gifted to welcome many musicians from Yougoslavia and/or their children/grand-children. They had an impactful influence by bringing sounds from Eastern Europe, with unfluences from Middle-East of course, and inputs from their own traditional folk music. Probable best exemple is Bojan Z, a hugely talented piano player, whose apettite is limitless and curiosity goes far beyond jazz boundaries. He even invented the "xénophone", a kind of keyboard with a weird sound somehow similar to a guitar (?).
You do not search for this. It finds you when you are ready.

Macedon is a fake country
I swear I kept hearing "Meet the urologist" and thought what strange lyrics those were. Then I looked at the song title and realized it was "Meteorology"...
Anyway, I don't really know why RUclips recommended me this but it is great!
A hahahaha....ministry of laughing....😂😂😂
Od onakve drzave, i muzike, do danasnjih "drzavica" i turbofolka... Sve najbolje i lijep pozz iz Sa :)
Jbg muzika je propala nacisto posle 2004-te....Sad sam odslusao album Divlje jagode-81-Stakleni Hotel

Why these tracks are so wonderful and perfect? By the way, greetings from Izmir in Turkey. Peace to everyone ✌️
Love from the other side of the adriatic 🇮🇹! Hope that the people of Yugoslavia will work through the hate and unite once again to find their own way towards greatness like this music.
Vaffanculo, Jugoslavia e morta

Kire Mitrev (KiM) bogotac. Hvala na interplanetarnoj mix-cini!
im from Croatia and i never know this existed MIND BLOWN, ty toni for this upload
80's forever!!! I dont know why the music change to soo bad now. Thanks for all people who reminds us what wonderful music sounds Cheers people
With modern music they over compress the audio so that it sounds louder, this drastically decreases the dhamic range of the music. This is why 80s music has more soul / enotion because it has a much higher dynamic range. Modern music isn't played, it's blasted at you.
@@bluebull399 great point
You don't have to shit on all the other music to express your appreciation for this one, man. That attitude is not funky nor soulful.
I would have loved to visit Jugoslavija at those times!
Not bad even today if you now where to look for.
Man this is such a good mix i keep coming back to have a listen
...thank you for this effort...massive...historical...beautiful...so Yugoslavian...bravo...
...stay safe my brother...
...all the best...
Late, Yugoslavia is dead, killed
@@testinstruktorYeah and that is because of the geopolitical, conquering ambitions of the NATO countries.
Thank you for posting this! You're one disco mother.
I am sad that I have never heard anything like this during my trips to Croatia. Greetings from Czechia ;)
Эта музыка меня очень радует
Ljubi me brzo zurim, genialna harmonia i w ogóle cała aranżacja!
There is also a new version slightly different from the group "Sevdah baby", but also excellent, if you haven't heard it already.
That’s good Funk in any language! The bass sounds amazing in a couple of those!
This mix proves how avant-garde it was, vastly more so than any neighbouring country apart from Italy.
banger tracks, western neighbour 🇧🇬
can't decide if i prefer yugoslavian funk or yugoslavian jazz-funk
this music should not be forgotten!
Proud of what we had.
Peace & love to all of our friends in Europe. Great relaxing music. Thank You
Veliki RESPEKT iz Crne Gore!
Ahhh koji funk! Tito funk!
What about JM Jarre......jare in yugoslav means a little goat..hehe..😂
Бальзам на душу!!!/Yeah,music to my ears!!!...
