Tips for this boss fight. Have Saeko or Eri be an idol. This is so essential because you can unlock a healing skill that heals the whole party. Alternatively have ICHIBAN be a hero to have the heal. The reason this is important is because of Joon Gi Hans divine shot which if not careful can one shot your whole party or deal tons of damage. Another bit of advice is to be at least level 22-25 so as to have enough stats to survive the fight. Thirdly play the business mini game until at least rank 100 in the company to unlock ERI because having a 4th party member is outright mandatory for some parts of the game until you get Nanba back. Another bit of advice is have items from the shop that can remove debuffs such as bleed and stun and even poison. Since he has several moves that apply the debuffs Lastly above all else play it carefully and ensure you’re dealing as much damage as possible for the most efficient amount of mana.
Im level 40 at the moment with all included eri ofc rank 1 in ichiban group im really op this is how look so much years of jrpg and rpgs i think make this part at lvl 20 are really tedious
I had Eri as Idol, Saeko as Matriach, Adachi as enforcer and Ichi as Hero. Average level is 27 and most job level already reach 25-28 except ichi somehow already 38 as hero (maybe bcs i almost never change ichi job just tried all one by one and leave them in 6-10 level, only helpful ones are breaker, bodyguard and breaker for stats lol), i dont have great problem with divine shot but that poison bomb and rapid fire often kill out Saeko or Eri lol. Glad in my gameplay he rarely target ichi and Adachi in my build already buffed dexterity and defense from items that somehow can tank joon gi damage mostly until that poison and rapid shot comes and he almost near death.
I made the mistake of having everyone take on new jobs before this fight. Everyone was severely under leveled and he wiped the whole party in about 7 or 8 turns
He was ok, the fight was a bit longer than usual, but manageable. Goro Majima, on the other hand. ..oh my sweet Jesus; I'm still grinding to take that bastard down.
I didn't have any problem with this bossfight in my first playthrough(even though I didn't have Eri back then), but as I was trying out the game in hard and legend, I opted for unconventional jobs and this fight became too fucking hard because of that damned divine shot doing 550 hp damage on all party members. I'm struggling to beat this boss fight, but I should be able to beat it without Eri. The annoying part of this boss fight is the poison, it does damage in every turn and the poison doesn't go away naturally sadly.
I went into this dungeon and boss fight thinking I would be fine. But then I died a lot of times. So I went back to free roam and did some side missions. Learned how to do the business management mini game. Got Eri, and then messed around with the jobs of the characters. Then came back and whooped him. Glad this boss fight made me appreciate all the side stuff you can do in this game.
1. Tbh, I actually like 7's remix of Theory of Beauty more than the original.... same goes for this Joon-gi Han. I dunno. Imitations sure, but damn are they awesome! 2. Of all the Ijin Three leaders, Seoung Hui is probably the scariest. I mean granted, she's not seasoned as Hoshino, or as apparently combat savvy as Zhao, but she's smart, cutthroat.... and scarily pragmatic compared to them... 3. I wish she'd join the party! Her taser and nutcracker moves would be awesome/funny enough, but the way she and acts around Ichiban and catfights with Saeko are fucking great! Too bad she's so vital to keeping the peace, especially after Zhao had to step down.
No preparation, level 19, understood what kind of fight this was gonna be by the 2nd try, beat him by the 3rd. This guy forced me to play strategically.
I tried to fight him 3 times I cant do it!! The second time I tried I almost defeated him but then he killed Kausga. The 3rd time he kept throwing poison at everyone I died and I raged quited I don't think I do it.

This boss has to be by far broken he one taps one of my fighters and then puts the other one to sleep it’s literally unfair because then how is it did I walk through the rest of the game without dying once I’m not playing on Asian difficulty, I find it so cheap for the game to ramp up like that after playing it for so long with ease not to mention but if my main character dies I automatically lose regardless on who’s still alive this whole fight is bullshit, and on top of that he magically gets 2 goes when I’m the only person standing I don’t even get 2 goes when I’m by myself, and yes I did manage to beat him that still doesn’t justifies how stupidly dumb and unfair the game is.
i know i’m 5 months late, but i have a tip for everyone, get Kasuga the flaming lumber (i think that’s what it’s called) because Hans biggest weakness is fire. use the bat swing on him and make sure you press Y or triangle on time (don’t know what it is for PC). it’ll deal devastating damage to Han. you also might wanna be level 21 or higher for this. also make sure you have Nancy-chan unlocked so you can use the proudmate to poison him.
This boss fight is why I wish boss fights were not turn based. Just moving around through the city where you encounter confrontations, I don't mind turn based. But I want to control my character during boss fights. Just my opinion
I’m glad I got this shit for free via ps plus. This is why I don’t like the idea of a Yakuza game being a turn based JRPG cause of the bullshit boss fights and the lack of saving/checkpoints while in a dungeon. I just wasted 1-2 hrs making my my way fighting all the thrash mobs and then the boss decided to one hit KO my ass plus spamming sleep/poison debuffs. I was level 20-21 at that point. They even charged yen for retrying like wtfff. I seriously miss the good old days of Yakuza games where it’s simply a beat em up/hack and slash genre. Now I’m back to lvl 19 where the Korean woman is at cause I ain’t bother to even pay to retry cause the boss pretty much gonna whoop my ass anyway plus I’ll be losing a lot of money too🤦🏻 not all working adults have time to waste by mindlessly grinding levels. Update: I’ve just defeated this asshole on my 2nd attempt by using Ichiban’s party healing skill cautiously. My whole party was lvl 20 during the boss fight and I didn’t have a fourth member too. Just try to keep Ichiban alive as much as possible. I spammed a lot of Saeko’s card shot and sparkling cannon too. I even used one of my favorite poundmates which is Robson on the boss while his health is around 50% 😹
Lol im level 20 and the other party members are 19 and i keep dying here. I don't even feel like restarting the game now. Seriously pissed that they made the series a turn-based combat game. It's bullshit!

It honestly feels like some of the mechanics were a last minute afterthought. And I hate how AOE attacks are affected by the RNG of people just wandering around

Just beat this boss. Only had 3 party members. The only annoying thing was getting poisioned. A few poundmate spams later I beat him
