@@shadowcross4813 well technically you're correct but so is Buzzy xD Before I learned more about the game I wondered why I never saw all 3 of the monsters together. Now that I think about it, can you imagine if you had to avoid ALL 3 OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME! That'd be insane! ;D
It isn't incredibly difficult, you just have to learn the monsters movement patterns and know what all the items do... but it takes a shit ton of patience.
A few things to know: The fuses are a rare spawn, use them wisely. Be careful with the sub and helicopter, if you leave them without the monster chasing you they will be broken permanently as they charge/ fuel up. The radio is a great distraction item. You can throw it through locked doors to have the monster bust it open for you. The fiend can close doors on you and stop you from moving, it also has a ranged attack the kills you in 3 hits There are floor traps that cause you to fall and get stuck, during a chase, you can jump over it and let the hunter and brute fall into it. The fiend floats over it. Check the cargo hold for egg sacks, it's an easy way to see if the hunter is the monster you're facing. Different items fend off different monsters. Fire extinguisher for the brute and using a gas can to light a fire for the hunter The hunter is hard to see in dark areas, use fuses to light the areas you plan to use most. The fiend is considered to be the smartest of the monsters and often checks hiding places, it's better to outrun it. There are 9 endings to the game, 3 ways to escape and 3 monsters. (In my opinion) escaping on the helicopter from the fiend is the scariest ending. The hunter usually stays in the vents, unless you make a loud noise or go near the egg sacks, when it disappears into the vents, even if you've gone to the other side of the boat, it can come out of the nearest vent if you make another loud noise. The life raft is the only ending that doesn't require a chase at the end, and is the only one the monsters can't destroy. The lights flicker when the fiend is near, pay attention to them and your flashlight. (It flickers more the closer it is) The difficulty of each escape route: Life raft: easy Helicopter: Medium Submarine: Hard (Occasionally the helicopter route is impossible due to one of the items needed not spawning) Other common tips can be found during the loading screen.
Yep. I also noticed how Markiplier didn't seem to remember how to hide, lock doors or light up the glow sticks and also left many rooms without checking any of the drawers. Bonus Tip #1: The flashlight dying is exactly why I rely more on the glow sticks than anything for a light source. Bonus Tip #2: ALWAYS turn off the valves to all of the steam pipes! They're the last thing you need stopping you or killing you while being chased by one of the monsters! Bonus Tip #3: When you have only some parts for a particular escape vessel and cannot use them yet, simply drop those items near applicable vessel so you can save room in your backpack and those items will be readily available when you come back with more of the needed materials. Bonus Tip #4: If you are being chased by a monster and are not sure you have time to hide from it, immediately head toward a flight of stairs and haul ass. Use the stairs to make your way to the outer deck and make your way to the other side of the ship. This will give you ample time to make your getaway and the monsters seem to be a bit slower while traversing the stairs. Also, making 'tracks' using this method will help you gain distance from the monster causing the game to have to respawn the monster fresh on the other side of the ship where it will no longer be alerted of your presence. I use this tactic quite a bit and it works for me every time! What Furystrike just mentioned is accurate about the helicopter and submarine being destroyed. Unfortunately, you may find yourself running in circles around the helicopter just to keep the monster busy and staying with the heli until you can get into it to make your escape. If you leave it, the monster will sabotage it. Needless to say, this isn't exactly easy to do, but it is possible! If we talk about the submarine while dealing with the Hunter, make sure you make use of the carts in the room and wheel the cart around to block the vents. If you fail to block the vent the hunter is currently trying to get into the room from, the Hunter will sabotage the Sub... and possibly you! It will not just try one of the vents, but any vent that isn't blocked it will move to. Again... not easy, but possible. Parts: Helicopter: Yes; you DO need TWO gas cans - Helicopter key (which he found) - Bolt cutters (to undo the chains to both the helicopter and the sheds near the helicopter which contains the pump which you will hook up and use the gasoline) Submarine: Battery (which he found) - Welder (also found) - Fuse (obvious at this point) - Headlight Raft: Duct Tape (found) - Chain spool (found) - air pump (found) I know the notes tell you these things, but I figured I'd leave this here...
Wouldn't it be helpful to tell Mark what kind of monsters the names your saying look like. I was reading this and had no idea what monsters you were talking about.

I do wish he would do more of the smaller indie horror games and complete them, like @Mike K, said the three scary game are ok I just wish they were better games and the videos lasted a little longer you know?
Idk I don't blame him for not wanting to finish it. I watched someone else complete it and honestly the ending wasn't as worth it as I thought, especially after all that hard work put in trying to beat it. That's just my opinion tho haha. Mark can do whatever he wants.

"It's always fun to get a blast from the past like this." It would be cool to see Mark do more games he did previously. Tattletail has a new story part. There's a new Amnesia coming out, so it'd be cool to see more Amnesia. Would also like to see more Dark Deception. And he's also in the mood for more SCP games and there's SCP Blackout and SCP-3008 he has yet to try.
Dark Deception is not very likely imo because he ended up really disliking the level with the moving statues and said it became so frustrating for him that he didn't feel like playing it again.

Remember markimoo, that every single monster has different sound cues and different tactics to fool it. For those that don't know: The red monster is the main and most well known monster The white monster that is clear is not new mark encountered it very little times when he played it years ago, it can go into vents which is hinted by the notes about the crew complaining about rats eating their food and destroying the vent covers The shadow demon monster is new and is somewhat telepathetic
Okay, a few tips and then some help. First off, there will only ever be one monster per playthrough. You got to see all three here, though: The Brute (red glow) pulled you out of the locker, The Hunter (jelly skin) was the last one in this video, and The Fiend (mind flayer) is the one who made your heart explode. The only way to know which one you're facing before you see it is when you hear a loud roar or heavy footsteps (Brute), hear wet footsteps and see monster eggs (Hunter) or see flickering lights or hear heavy breathing (Fiend). (That last includes the flashlight, btw.) A flashlight lasts about four and a half minutes before dying. You might want to carry spares. The monsters cannot see the flashlight. The Hunter can pop out of vents, as well as popping out of the monster eggs. Fire extinguishers can be used to stun a monster. You can hide a lot more places than just lockers. Under tables, under beds, etc. When thrown out of a locker, you have a chance to get away. Tap the crouch button (C) rapidly to get to your feet and RUN! You can disable cameras with duct tape. Don't worry, this won't use up the roll. Barricaded doors (like the one those bolt cutters were on the other side of) can only be opened by the monster, sorry. You can make this happen by setting off a radio or egg timer there, then hiding somewhere else. Okay, now the help. To escape in the Life Raft, you will need a roll of duct tape, the bike pump, and the chain spool. The crane lift is noisy, though, and will attract the monster while in use. (Note: Hold down the button while inflating the raft.) To escape in the Helicopter, you will need bolt cutters, the keys, and TWO gas cans. (The fuel pump was that big block you passed by with the highlighted handle.) You'll have to keep the monster from destroying the fuel pump for two minutes, though. To escape in the Submarine, you will need the welding kit, the sub battery, and the sub headlights. (The headlights are most commonly found on the upper decks, but can sometimes show up in the cargo hold or near the Life Raft. They're hard to find, because only two of them spawn in a given playthrough.) Like the Helicopter, though, you'll need to keep the monster out for two minutes while the battery is being charged. (And make sure to hit the release _immediately_ after charging is complete, as the monster can still destroy the control panel and leave you stuck.)

0:28 - "...against certain monsters, plural? I only ever remember there being ONE monster..." Mark, 2015-- "THERE WAS ANOTHER F***ING MONSTER ON THE SHIP THE WHOLE G***AMN TIME?!"
Back then only one monster between 3 different monsters would be the one hunting you. Mark thought it was only ever going to be the fire dude, he didn't know the randomization also would allow for other hunting monsters. The sentence in the loading screen implies you have to watch out for more than one monster during a single playthrough. I don't know how accurate it is though.
I remember clearly from this game mark. Here's some tips: You can hide in lower cabinets, lockers, and under beds. Theres 3 ways of escape, helicopter, raft, and submarine. There's 3 monsters (last time I checked) I haven't seen this game in a while so if it's been updated since that ghost monster then idk what else they added.
Spot-on; I think I remember a bit more about the monsters: the meltyface is strong enough to rip off even metal doors, but not as smart as the others. The goo-skeleton is able to travel around quickly through the vents and set up traps on the walls. The ghost-demon is telekinetic and able to hit at range, but only if it has line of sight.
They all have names. The Brute is the melty-face, it's very fast but easily fooled, but don't let that think it won't try to use shortcuts against you. The Hunter is the goo-skeleton, it, unlike the other monsters, can actually NEVER be spawned and still have you beat the game, if RNJesus is on your side. It actually doesn't spawn until you make a loud noise or disturb the goo pods it leaves. Finally, the Fiend is the ghost-demon, it's the slowest of the bunch, but it has a telekinetic attack if it has line of sight to you. The attack doesn't do any real damage, but will stun you, and IF it hits three times in rapid succession, will kill you anyways. It's also the smartest, being as clever as you'd expect an actual human to be. For example, if you close a door and hide, but the room is a dead-end, it will check EVERY hiding spot. Sometimes it even pretends not to see you, just to tease you. It also has the ability to telekinetically undo the locks on doors. All that combined, I feel it's easily the most threatening
@@Irrixiatdowne There are 3 monsters; "The Brute", "The Hunter", and "The Fiend". I listed them in the order you mentioned them. You are right about their behaviours. Here is some more info; if you get noticed by a camera, the Hunter instantly appears from a vent. Literally. The traps are called egg sacks. If you get close to one, there is X% chance of the Hunter spawning from it. X meaning less than 100%. If you can't avoid them, I suggest triggering them by throwing something at them and see if it appears. If it appears, go hide in a room quickly until it is gone again. Egg sacks can always be found in the cargo hold, but not always outside the cargo hold. Outside the cargo hold, egg sacks can only be found if the Hunter is in the vents instead of on foot. The Fiend; you can take 2 hits from its "telekinesis" within 10 second intervals. A 3rd hit will kill you. It's only if it's within 10 second intervals though. You will recover otherwise. Always keep a flashlight with you when dealing with that monster as it makes electric lights flicker when nearby. It uses telekinesis to open locked doors. I haven't tested this myself, but I read you can lock the door again right before it opens the door. The Brute; I believe a lot of people think otherwise (I understand why) while playing the game, but the Brute is *not* faster than you, so it can never catch up to you if you both run in a straight line. It's about the same speed as the player, not faster, so there is no need to panic while running from it in a straight line. It quite often sounds closer than it actually is. Writing all of this makes me want to play the game again. I don't know why, but that game has a special place in my heart for whatever reason lol.
I remembered the Brute and the Hunter's names, not the Fiend's though; but I figure it's more helpful to someone looking for information to describe them and their behaviors. Haven't read up on them from the wiki in a long time, but tried to hit their main points I could recall without spoiling everything about them.
Mark: there is a game that I haven't played in a long time and I have beaten it and will never go back to it. Me: Vanish? Mark: Vanish. Me: Oh sweet christ.
@sised it depends on the monster, for the brute(big burny boi) it’s really effective, because while it’s strong and fast, it’s dumb, for the hunter(the see through boi) it’s less effective, and for the fiend, (purple haze and telepathic boi) it’s basically useless
Breakables are useless imo, they don't work as lure tbh. Idk if it was fixed on the latest update, sprinting also doesn't create a sound that alerts the monster.
As someone who has played the game since its practical launch and has beaten every monster in every type of ending for each one, I can say for a fact. Just use radios. Cups are short like you jumping and do just as much. The only time you need such things anyways is to get the hunter out of the vents and put him on cooldown. The brute is always ontop of you no matter what so best strat for him is to just keep moving. Fiend may be good at tracking and have the range attack but overall is slow as a grandma

@@SkyShy The RNG for WTTG2 was so bullshit. Sometimes Lucas and Noir would show up at the same time, essentially killing him with no chance of escape. It was damn near impossible to tell if the Breather was gone or was hiding behind the dumpster. Honestly it's an excellent concept, but the way it was executed with its huge reliance on bullshit RNG just made the game flop as a whole.

Hunter - Very easy Fiend - Normal / slightly hard (depends on environment) Brute - Hard If you play this game for long, dealing with hunter is just a cakewalk, hunter is very predictable. Imo hunter is only hard on engine room. Hunter's ability to emerge from the vents has a cooldown. Brute is easily the worst because of it's homing beacon and it's chase speed. Just move from upper deck to lower deck and the brute will be there in a min or two, unlike the fiend where it will take a few mins to reach your location.
Irdk on fiend though, there's a strategy that made fiend less difficult than it should be... but I don't know if it applies to speedrun, not a speedrunner though. Fiend takes longer to get to your area than the brute, and it can be abused. Sprinting back and forth between upper deck and lower deck is a less difficult way to beat the fiend. Collect items as fast as you can and when the lights started to flicker, just sprint to the other side of the ship and do the same thing. If you want to play safe, just check few rooms, camp on submarine room and wait which side will flicker, and for upperdeck, camp near the raft on and jump down (There's a way to do it w/o dying) if the lights started to flicker, or if you want to do it on a legit but risky way, camp on control room. But even if I don't do this strategy, brute is still harder for me. He's a pain in a chase ngl, and for me brute is harder to locate.
Mark: Ah, yes, I remember there was A monster I had to run away from and he was big and scary! Me, remembering the moment we ALL learned there was a second monster, and it was the scariest thing.
There’s three different monsters, but every game only has one for the whole game. It’s randomly chosen for every playthrough! If you die, you start from the beginning, likely with a different monster and a totally different ship layout.
@@chadgerman3987 Fire Demon big and strong. It is easy to sense coming coz it is loud, and if you hide it will quickly lose interest and turn passive, assuming it doesn't see where you hid. Fire demon is the strongest and fastest demon, and it can break through locked doors and runs just about as fast as the player does. Dark demon is slow and smart. It is the easiest to detect because the lights go out when it gets near. Staying in line of sight will lock you in place and eventually kill you. It is the smartest demon, and will methodically check hiding places if it thinks you're in a room. Luckily, it's slower than you are, so you can outrun it. It might also be able to telepathically unlock doors. Wall demon is sneaky and cunning. You do not detect its presence, because it will simply spawn in around you whenever certain conditions are met. If you make a loud noise, it will emerge from the nearest vent. This includes things like setting of the cameras, sprinting, or breaking objects. Also, when this demon is in play, bunches of egg sacs will spawn around the map. Disturbing these egg sacs will also spawn it in. Be quiet, and you'll be okay. It is the weakest of the demons, and can be outrun rather easily. Just take care to be sneaky once you lose it, because once it has gone back into a vent, it can emerge from any other vent anywhere on the ship regardless of where it is. So effectively it can teleport, using vents as portals. Although technically it is the easiest demon, to me it is the scariest. And if you're wondering how I know so much about a game I've never played... I honestly have no idea.

I don’t know if I would ever have the patience to beat this game especially with no checkpoints or quick saves
Or at least a 3 lives system like the Grandma game where he had 5 days to escape
It isn't incredibly difficult, you just have to learn the monsters movement patterns and know what all the items do... but it takes a shit ton of patience.
3Twee well I was just making an observation from what I’ve seen of the game.
Good that i am already a pro
Well, that's a motivated, gamer for you.
A few things to know:
The fuses are a rare spawn, use them wisely.
Be careful with the sub and helicopter, if you leave them without the monster chasing you they will be broken permanently as they charge/ fuel up.
The radio is a great distraction item. You can throw it through locked doors to have the monster bust it open for you.
The fiend can close doors on you and stop you from moving, it also has a ranged attack the kills you in 3 hits
There are floor traps that cause you to fall and get stuck, during a chase, you can jump over it and let the hunter and brute fall into it. The fiend floats over it.
Check the cargo hold for egg sacks, it's an easy way to see if the hunter is the monster you're facing.
Different items fend off different monsters. Fire extinguisher for the brute and using a gas can to light a fire for the hunter
The hunter is hard to see in dark areas, use fuses to light the areas you plan to use most.
(It flickers more the closer it is)
The difficulty of each escape route: Life raft: easy Helicopter: Medium Submarine: Hard
(Occasionally the helicopter route is impossible due to one of the items needed not spawning)
Other common tips can be found during the loading screen.
Parts:
Helicopter: Yes; you DO need TWO gas cans - Helicopter key (which he found) - Bolt cutters (to undo the chains to both the helicopter and the sheds near the helicopter which contains the pump which you will hook up and use the gasoline)
Submarine: Battery (which he found) - Welder (also found) - Fuse (obvious at this point) - Headlight
Raft: Duct Tape (found) - Chain spool (found) - air pump (found)
I know the notes tell you these things, but I figured I'd leave this here...
Must've been painful for you guys to watch the video

The Hunter: the transparent demogorgon thingy will make wet slapping noises, stay away from its egg sacs, travel method is crawling through the vents, the mediocre smart monster
The Brute: Is loud but very fast, also doesn't give two craps about doors, the dumbest monster. You should be able to spot him easily bc of his very glowy face.
The Fiend: The demon monster, he is the slowest but has telekinesis he makes lights flicker when he is near, also he can freeze you if you are in his line of sight, the smartest monster. Like the brute, he does not care about doors

What can the red monster do? And how do we hide from the white monster?
Okay, a few tips and then some help.
First off, there will only ever be one monster per playthrough. You got to see all three here, though: The Brute (red glow) pulled you out of the locker, The Hunter (jelly skin) was the last one in this video, and The Fiend (mind flayer) is the one who made your heart explode. The only way to know which one you're facing before you see it is when you hear a loud roar or heavy footsteps (Brute), hear wet footsteps and see monster eggs (Hunter) or see flickering lights or hear heavy breathing (Fiend). (That last includes the flashlight, btw.)
A flashlight lasts about four and a half minutes before dying.
(Note: Hold down the button while inflating the raft.)
To escape in the Helicopter, you will need bolt cutters, the keys, and TWO gas cans.

I remember clearly from this game mark. Here's some tips:
You can hide in lower cabinets, lockers, and under beds. Theres 3 ways of escape, helicopter, raft, and submarine. There's 3 monsters (last time I checked)
I haven't seen this game in a while so if it's been updated since that ghost monster then idk what else they added.
They have names, the Brute is big red, Hunter is the blue creature and the fiend is the corps looking creature with the purple aura around it.

That game was so good. Mark is just to hot minded for it
@@SkyShy The RNG for WTTG2 was so bullshit. Sometimes Lucas and Noir would show up at the same time, essentially killing him with no chance of escape. It was damn near impossible to tell if the Breather was gone or was hiding behind the dumpster. The ending is pretty lackluster, not to mention that the game makes you think that you've lost when you win. Honestly it's an excellent concept, but the way it was executed with its huge reliance on bullshit RNG just made the game flop as a whole.

The Brute- Easy
The Hunter- Normal
The Fiend- Hard
Hunter - Very easy
Fiend - Normal / slightly hard (depends on environment)
Brute - Hard
If you play this game for long, dealing with hunter is just a cakewalk, hunter is very predictable.
You're stupid the hunter is easy, the brute is medium and the fiend is hard.
He's a pain in a chase ngl, and for me brute is harder to locate.
none of them are easy lol
Except for hunter
Mark: Ah, yes, I remember there was A monster I had to run away from and he was big and scary!
Me, remembering the moment we ALL learned there was a second monster, and it was the scariest thing.
There’s three different monsters, but every game only has one for the whole game. It’s randomly chosen for every playthrough! If you die, you start from the beginning, likely with a different monster and a totally different ship layout.
@@megastan8362 so there is the fire demon, the dark demon, and the weird wall demon that somehow killed mark at the end for no reason.
I honestly have no idea.
yeah, and that second monster’s name is Lixian
@@megastan8362 are you talking about the Brute, the hunter, and forgot that last demon/monster's name

Hello Mark!
So there you go. I'm writing you this message with 2 other friends of mine to ask you something important.
Yes I know you have a lot of subscribers and you probably get a lot of messages like this but... I'm still trying...
I have my best friend who has been following you for a long time and loves you so much for who you are (an incredible person) . I wanted you to know that you've helped her a lot in a difficult time. You've helped a lot of us. When things were bad at home or in college, she always had someone to turn to for comfort. Someone who wouldn't ask questions. Just encourage her to believe in herself and do her best. You're that person who pushed her not to give up and believe in the future. Laure (that's her name) never had an easy time talking about her problems to her friends... But thanks to you, she had a comfort to take care of all the pain she was storing inside her. Thank you so much for helping her when I couldn't see that she was in such bad mood at the time. I want you to know that thanks to you, she is more fulfilled and follow your example of an incredible person with a big heart! I am writing this message to ask you a favor... It's her birthday soon... July 28th exactly and the most beautiful gift for her 18th birthday would be to receive a birthday message from you. You her idol, her hero. A little message just for her. I know I'm asking a lot of you and you probably won't see this message but... You would make Laure the happiest girl in the world as well as me and all her friends who only wish her happiness!
(sorry for this comment, but it was one the only way to pass my message even if I know we aren't not alone and he can't do this but I would try. Don't send hate please!)
Such a wholesome and pleasant comment you wrote! I know, that I'm not Mark, but I gotta say, that I wish all of you happiness and success in life. You're a rare type of person, that writes these honest comments. I love you. :3
Maybe you should try messaging him on social media, like Twitter or smth
