- Today I can present to You the full Drive & Sound with the new 2016 / 2017 Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI "Clubsport" delivering up to 290 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Actually the 2.0 TFSI has 265 hp permanent output but delivers 290 hp (so Cupra 290 power) in an Overboost mode for around 10 sec. As the 10 sec. start counting again once you lift the throttle for a short moment you have a subjective 290 hp all of the time;) The exhaust sound is sporty and just in between a GTI Performance (230hp) and the extreme Cupra 290 exhaust tone & cracks. Trotz des 'fehlenden' Allrad ist der Clubsport auf der Schleife trotzdem schneller als ein R ;)

My clubsport is running APR stage 1 and I love it. Much better to drive than my M4 was.

In this one we can see car-net app which is absent in my cupra 290. Maybe you can spend a bit more time on this in your future videos (i.e how is infotainment in focus RS compared to VW cars?)

Oh nein, wie konnte ich nur! Leider kann es bei mir "nur" ein 250 d werden. Würde da gerne mal Videos mit dem 9-Gang-Getriebe sehen. Danke!!!
Leider haben wir noch keinen 250d im Coupe gefahren aber ich habe hier ein Video vom GLC 250d mit der 9G-Tronic. Antriebstechnisch bekommt man da schon mal einen sehr guten Eindruck da quasi identisch, im leichteren Coupe natürlich etwas schneller: ruclips.net/video/wBXTkNLycV0/видео.html

Hi,so is this a brand new GTI version? Can I go to the dealership and ask for one of this or did you guys tune a Performance Pack GTI?
There are three GTIs available (at least in Germany). GTI (220hp), GTI Performance (230hp) and GTI Clubsport (265/290hp). The last version (GTI Clubsport S) I wouldn't really call available as there are only 500 units planned and I don't even know it there are some left, I doubt it.

Petrol models were never affected by DieselGate. And even other diesel models that were not part of the scandal are still being produced as normal. It's business as usual, and you will get your car on time, as scheduled.
Dont have it about dieselgate. They had troubles with their suppliers. But its over now.

Yes very different. Different engine, lsd, interior, and the outside styling.

I have a question and hopefully I get a useful help/advice! :) I am owning a VW Polo GTI (2013) and would love to have an exhaust sound like this. Mine is not doing "shooting sounds" that much like this. Although I would not like to cost for a full exhaust system which would be around 800-1000 euros. Thank you for the reply!!
Hard to say if there's something "cheap" for the Polo GTI to sound good. I would check what ABT has first.

Bei dem Auto kann man beim Dreitürer auch gleich die Rückbank zwecks Gewichtsersparnis ausbauen. Noch nie wie bei diesem Auto erlebt, dass sich der Einstieg nach hinten so schwierig gestalten kann, weil der Vordersitz beim Umklappen nicht nach vorne ausweicht.
Und ja ... ich weiß ... Dreitürer holt man nicht, um Leute auf der Rückbank mitzunehmen. Aber wozu dann die Rückbank?^^

Wenn du einen Clubsport GTI hast und der warm ist macht der das im Sport Modus auch....ist nur vom Fahrersitz nicht immer so laut hörbar. Von außen hingegen schon.
Quicker than the Focus RS?
Let's say it like this: In a straight line, with DSG and Launch Control, and under dry conditions its slightly quicker than the Focus RS, in every other moment I think the RS feels and is quicker than this again....plus the fun it is to drive ;)

To get a better acceleration.
AlenL Nö From 0-100 it's losing a lot of time because it loses traction. Traction control would've made it faster.
No grip is no grip! Best acceleration is with no assists and a good control of the gas pedal.

Sicherlich kein schlechtes Auto - optisch gefällt er mir eigentlich gut. Kenne auch den GOlf R mit noch mehr Dampf. Der Sound ist im Bezug auf den Kaufpreis echt lachhaft. Das "Auspuffstottern" ist leider auch nicht sonderlich sexy. Gut, sind halt kleine 4 Zylinder mit 2 Liter Motörchen. Für den Kaufpreis gibt es andere V6 Spaßmobile. Einfach mal den Sound vom Nissan 370 Z erleben - dann wird der Golf schnell zur Nebensache. Bevor wieder gehatet wird - ist nur meine Meinung nicht mehr nicht weniger. PS: Video ist sehr gut gelungen!

Best Golf is near base Golf with a Manual (Or dsg if you want that). Going to a FWD golf at this price point, might as well go for an R for not much more. Or if you want something lightweight and 'hardcore' then why are you looking at a Golf. A Golf will never be as rough as, let's say, a Focus ST.
Its faster though :)
focus st is maxed out at 250 ps (petrol) and 184 ps (diesel), a golf is actually more "rough"

If you truly believe that, then you really need to examine your IQ. Gearboxes are a matter of preference, not a matter of age or skill. Some people prefer 3 doors to 5 doors. Some people prefer Megan to a Golf. Some people prefer Ferrari to Lamborghini. Some people prefer Electric to ICE. Some people prefer DSG to a manual. That's just the way life is. Choices and preferences.
