Der RS3 hat wirklich einen Platz ganz oben auf der Sound-Bestenliste verdient. Des fängt schon beim Kaltstart an, wo er sich mit Crackles nur so überschlägt. Dann beim Fahren hast du diesen recht hochdrehenden Motor, und beim Schalten hast dann immer diese Megaexplosion im Auspuff. Einfach genial. Im Tunnel hörst du dann auch richtig, wie die Turbos immer schneller werden und du dann fast so einen Turbinen-Luftstrom-Sound hast. Muss man erlebt haben
Naja ich persönlich finde das beim Schalten garnicht Sportlich.. Jedem das seine ;) Aber beim Rest muss ich dir recht geben ;)

Ist nicht Serie. Hat nen Sportauspuff. Steht auch in der Beschreibung.
Sportauspuff ist aber von Audi also quasi Serie mit richtigem Häkchen :)

Got it September last year, what a fucking beast. I love every second with it. It got a B16 Suspension from Bilstein and Panoramic roof for maximum Sound xD
brooooooo congratulations mannnn. i’m saving for one right now! in Australia it is $40k -45K, and I currently have $6k (trying to get 10 or 15k) plus my audi a4 which i got a trade in value quote of $12k. this means I will have 50% or more for down payment then I will pay 20k in finance! :D i’m sooooooo so so so so so fucking excited i dream about it all the time and i watch videos on 2016 rs3 before bed and when i wake up😂

Definitely the RS Sports Exhaust sounds a whole lot better! Pops and crackles are not as loud and pervasive with the standard exhaust. Everybody buying this car must go for the sports exhaust! ;)

It's the new RS3
There is already a facelift model of the A3. And the facelift RS3 will follow later. So this RS3 is old.
new rs3 have 400hp no 367hp ... only ttrs have 400hp ...waiting rs3 400hp ...
+FOCUS ST all rs3 8v (2015 model) have more power than 367. I know one RS3 Driver wich has 398 hp.
The new RS3 models should be debuting next year around march - april.. At least these are the rumors going around at the Audi dealerships in Germany.. The Audi TTRS should be coming in December.

Hi Automann-TV, how would you compare the handling characteristics of this RS3 to a Golf R? I know this car maybe more nose heavy but does it really under steer as bad as the motor journalists say?
The RS3 has definitely a different handling than Audi S3 and Golf R. Both 4-cylinder variants are more neutral and have a more balanced handling, the RS3 has a lot of weight on the front axle and therefore isn't made for cornering as much. I wouldn't say that its understeering that badly because the cornering speeds are still unbelievable fast, but you just have less feel in the steering compared to S3 or Golf R.
Viel zu wenige Leute ordern sich den A3 mit dem schwarzen Glanzpaket, dabei lässt es das Fahrzeug so viel aggressiver und sportlicher wirken. Optisch echt ein Hingucker und der Sound ist einfach nur brachial. Leider ist die Performance (abgesehen von der Beschleunigung) nicht so überzeugend, aber mal schauen, wie das Facelift so wird. Es soll ja angeblich eine RS3 Limousine kommen.

Yeah I guess they got inspired by the Gallardo V10 sound... Pretty close for a 5-cylinder!
Similar harmonics... being a 5 cyl.
A V engine is pretty much two inline engines combined to the same crankshaft.
Both cylinder banks have a different exhaust manifold that is then combined into one, that leads the gases into the exhaust pipes. So if two "equal"things send similar sound through it, then it will have pretty similar harmonics
Does anyone know why Audi no longer have the RS3 on their website/app? Have they stopped producing them?
You can't order this model, because there will be a lifting of RS3. On audi's website you can find A3 and S3 lifting models. The new RS3 will produce probably something about 400hp. Of course they will change some details like matrix led's and virtual cocpit inside. :)

Ich denke der RS3 rechtfertig in jeder Hinsicht seinen Aufpreis. Wenn es ihn jetzt noch als Limousine geben wird dann bleiben für mich wenig Argumente um beim S3 zu bleiben;)

To me this looks like an A3 S-line with bits stuck onto it, but the engine sounds amazing
And that is nice when you drive chilled, the police doesn't upset you with crap and most people don't know how much power that thing has.

sind die blenden vom sportauspuff nicht schwarz? beim vorgänger war das so.

Normalerweise hat die Sportabgasanlage bei den RS-Modellen die schwarzen Endrohre. Beim RS3 8V leider nicht, da es keine Blende ist, sondern direkt das Endstück vom Rohr. Das Gerücht geht um, dass sie thermische Probleme hatten, was das schwarz anging. Ich vermute aber eher der Aufwand war zu hoch, wenn man keine Blenden hat, sondern einen Teil der AGA nach dem Schweißen noch lackieren müsste.
Die Hoffnung ist, dass es beim Facelift besser wird. Beim neuen TTRS gibt es wieder schwarze Endrohre.

Geheimtipp: INTERNET ;)
Der alte VFL hat den mehr Röchelnden Sound bei dem man auch noch recht Klar den Turbolader hört und ist auch was Lauter. Der neue ist, besonders die OPF Version, in dem Punkt leiser und ist weniger Röchelnd, das Knallen ist sehr dezent (fand es beim VFL zwar ein zweimal ganu Lustig, im Endeffekt bin ich aber meistens im Indivudal unterwegs gewesen, Auspuff dynamic rest auf Normal, da da wirklich nur Purer Sound emittiert wird).
Ich würde mir nur den VFL anschaffen (367PS), da erstens der Bessere Sound und auch, meines Erachtens, im Innenraum die etwas bessere Qualität. Auch sieht er Optisch schöner aus. ^^
Schade ist dieser Motor nicht im S3 8V verbaut worden einfach mit weniger leistung... Hab aus diesem Grund mein S3 verkauft...

Das er beim Fahren vil. an den Händen schwitzt und Dadurch die Handschuhe Trägt, auch weil ihm das Auto nicht gehört und ich finde das die Bessere Lösung.. Ich will das auch nicht haben wenn ich ein Auto Kaufe und dann den Schweiß von Anderen am Lenkrad habe..

It is to this day the only hatch with a sound that stands out even if it isn't in sight.
I live in a little village where you can hear at night cars rushing down the country roads. You can clearly tell: VAG-4 banger, regular 4 banger (also the AMG), but the only Audi besides the R8 that is so clearly hearable is the RS3 preFacelift. It is loud, has a nice sound, doesn't sound shitty and even the shifting "farts" aren't that noticeable as with the 2.0TFSI.
I driven one a few days and honestly, I want to buy one still. But I'd think I settle first for an F10 to accompany my E39, then the RS3. Used ones with a slightly higher mileage can be realtively cheap.
But, for the price of the RS3, consider as well the allmighty C63 W204. If I ever going out to buy myself the RS3, I also must consider the W204. :D

Farting noises. Wow red air vents and seats fit for Liberace. This looks like a bad aftermarket job from the 1990's.
Had to turn this straight off as soon as I see the guy driving with gloves on.
