I really like these tires alot. I'm so torn between these and the Mickie Thompson Baja atzp3's which i currently have on my rig and love as well. I Cooper tires noise they told me at the tire shop that the front tires and they had 50 pounds of air in the back tires had to have 80 but they are noisy. Is that too much air
Do you think the general grabber X3s are a good fit for a 3/4 ton pickup? Also I’d love to see a review of what mud tires and hybrid/all terrain tires you would recommend for 3/4 ton and one ton SRW trucks!
Campus Automotive Inc There is one guy on RUclips who had them mounted on a F350 SRW up in Canada who got 55,000 miles out of them, he claims before he replaced them at 20%-30% life and that was with towing a dump trailer on and off, and he Praised them for performance and quietness. Currently running Toyo open country AT3, but I want something more aggressive. I’m torn between these STT pros/Yokohama MT/and Falken wildpeak MT. Which would recommend for my 80/20 street/off-road use?
These tires lasted less than 10K miles on my 05 Ram 2500. Excellent grip, decent road manners, but the rubber wears fast and the belts tear very easily. I assure they will not last if you're actually using your truck off-road to haul stuff like as trucks are intended to do.
Yup mine did the same thing. Bought mine for snow plowing. I live by lake superior and we get dumped on! After one season one rear tire separated the other rear wore one the outer edges only. The two on the front where no better both wore extremely uneven. They all had 65 psi with a digital read out. They where on a 2003 for superduty V10. Waste of money.
I just put on power wagon. Love them. Max PSI is 65. Mine are 315/70/17. Any suggestions for what PSI to run daily driver when on road. Usually run with nothing in truck bed while at work. Thanks.
Cooper doesn’t consider this tire to be a true mud tire, I think it competes more with Dick Cepek Extreme Country tire in my opinion, I would like to get your thoughts on other brands and styles of tire that this Cooper SST pro would compete against. I’m trying to find a good blend between an aggressive highbred and a mud tire for my new Ford F250 super duty with a gas engine. It has the stock Goodyear Wrangler Dura track tires on it. I think they look and perform OK for what they are, was wanting a little more aggressive look and a little more off-road performance but not wanting to go too far and lose road handling characteristics in wet weather or snow conditions. Not wanting to change rims, so they will be going on the original stock 18 x 8 black wheels, so I’m thinking tire size of a 305/70R18 = about 35x12.5 anyway I would like your input on this if possible, whether it’s a recommendation for a certain tire or company and or a tire or company that you would not recommend for my set up. I don’t do a lot or what I would consider any extreme of roading, but when time calls for four-wheel-drive to be needed, Whether that is going through a muddy corn/bean field, creek bottom, or hauling a truck load of wood up a steep washed out dirt/rock access road, I need to know the tires that I have on it are going to be enough to get the job done and not leave me stuck or stranded with a puncture/flat.

First, thanks so much for the great content and making yourself so available for questions. I just bought a '07 Rubicon running 315/70r17s. I plan on taking long trips to the locations where I'm going to wheel, so ride quality and noise are very important to me. I was considering the Yokohama Geolander X-AT, Nitto Ridge Grappler or the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3. These Coopers look great, but I'm thinking those meaty chunks will cause comparitively more noise than my front runners. Given my requirements, what would you recommend? I'm open to your suggestions even if they don't include the tires I've selected thus far. Thanks in advance!
Try that Yokohama, I think you will like it.
@@CampusautoCo I went with the Yokohamas. Obviously, not enough time on them for a review, but super quiet on the way home. Think I'm going to like them! Thanks for the advice.
Great Review 👍 That is a mean look'in tire! Can't see them lasting long though.
Thanks 👍
It is for a Chevy 2500 van it holds heavy loads
Osam Tire
No they are not quiet and you cannot decent mileage. I had this, used for about 2500km highway miles and surprised to have used up 50% tread already.
Awesome!
Awesome? I think not!! These are definitely not a hybrid. They are more to the side of a mild mud tire. Cooper should erase the drawing for these and go back to the drawing board. They are junk.
@@jeffshultz3883yup bought them for plowing snow on my super duty. Absolute garbage! Got good traction for about 3 months until the wore down to almost nothing. Complete junk. I had two of the separate on me. I called Cooper and they basically told me tough shit. They wearnt meant for my application. Will never by any cooper tire ever again!
Giving reviews on tires the he doesn’t even know it they work
the tire did not last me 30.000 miles and that's not off road never buy them
What I would like to know is what tire pressure should you run in a cooper discover stt pro lt 295/65r20 tire pressure?? On a four wheel drive half ton pickup
I run 65 psi on my super duty. And when I have heavy load I run 80 in the rears. Mine are Load range E tires.
