Also make sure both surfaces are clean from dirt + finger grease (clean w/ rubbing alcohol). Another thing to try is putting the glue on both the ring blank and the cab, letting them sit separately for 5-10 minutes before sticking them together. This helps make a stronger bond and is the way E6000 recommends gluing. Hope this helps. Have fun!!
@ifeWorkshop Hi! I'm not sure about using resin, but maybe try again with the E6000 after scratching up the surface of the ring blank a little bit with a file or sandpaper where the cabochon will touch. It's also best to use a ring blank that will have as much surface area in contact with the cabochon as possible.
I applied this technique to make rings but some of them fell off the ring base. I Used E-6000 glue. Do you think that I should poor some resin to seal the metal?
I just use a couple of coats of clear nail polish on mine. You could possibly use some spray-on acrylic clear coat instead but the nail polish is probably just as good!
I had extra grocery bags and used small pieces. Always have a free supply!
Perfect! Great idea, thanks for sharing!

How about cleaning with nail polish remover?
These make great. "rocks" when making small environments!
what a cool idea! Love that. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello!
Awesome simple direct to the point, thank you 💐💐
Thanks for posting this video. I will make these. I like the idea of magnet too. Make nice gifts.
How creative! Got to try this on some marbles I bought.
Really fun idea! Thanks for the tutorial
Do you think you can glue paper behind speckled nail polish instead of using a coat of nail polish to seal it?
Cool!

Like the variety of looks... no 2 alike :-) Tfs :-)
Also curious about sealing back to prevent chipping. Any thoughts?

Ausom ideas..
Tip-use latex gloves to avoid nail polish on hands.
Great tip!! Thank you :) I always look like a nail salon exploded on me by the time I'm done. But then I guess that's part of the fun of it!
I also make the rings...I use Krazy glue...they all eventually fall off!! :(
