Wow, very cool! I really like the cracked cabochons. I think they are much prettier. Thanks for sharing this video. 😃👍
I tried this technique a few weeks ago! I love the look it gives. After adding the polish, it looks like the color xomes up into the stone. If I didn't know how it was done I would really be baffled! I also love the small clear ones crackled and unpainted. They almost look like diamonds!
Garden Guru ...Hello. I was reading your post where you had concerns about if they broke and about the sharp edges?.....
Well maybe this will make you feel better about it . We use to do this kind of Crackling when I was a kid back in the late 60's on into the 70s. But we used just plain ole marbles ! My mom would put them In an old pan and do them for us . and I just. Turned 55 last month and I still have one of the marbles
That I did with my mom and siblings and it has never chipped or anything and we even played marble games with them after
We crackled them back then. My granddaughter and I just done the same thing Mona did here with the crackle and polish and made necklaces
Out of them just a few days ago. So try it its fun !!!! And I don't think they will break to easy .... Good day. And. Good luck!
So you didn’t lose all your marbles when you turned 55 ?
Sorry, couldn’t resist!! :)
I just made some of these last week. I love how they turn out.
Carol Quick They are so fun to do!
I love all of your crafts but the jewelry crafts are always my favorite!

Love this! Ive done cracked marbles before and have made galaxy stones too...Im looking forward to combining the two of them , Have a beautiful week:)
Cali Black They are so fun to do! Make sure you share it over on my Facebook page! I'd love to see them! Have a great week too!
They are lovely and the colors match well !
I have got some left so sure I'm going to do these today ! Thanks !
StylHarmony I think you should!! :)
Love your videos! They are really great and i've watched a lot of jewellery videos on youtube but yours are clear and useful and love the way you do them!
i had bought glass gems but they were not clear enough for the images i wanted. This idea saved a whole bag for another idea to had to my shop. Thank you
+Diane Estrada I'm glad it inspired you and saved the bag Diane!
I did this for some flat back earrings and glued them on. I didn't crack them just painted. I used a grey that you use for nail art and swirled it on. Just a little bit then I used my purple crackle nail polish and did they ever look nice. I also tried it with the pink crackle polish. Just another look to add to your awesome stone collection. Thanks for the video. I need to try and do the crackle part, was scared but your way looks so easy. Will try it now. I'll let you know how I make out.
Sherry Wortman Please let me know Sherry! Your creations sound beautiful!
Thank you for giving me ideas on what to do with ALL my leftover polishes. you're awesome
+Anna m. Braitling Thank you Anna!
Thank you so much for sharing this, I have been making & selling nail polish pendants for a couple of years & will certainly try this, it looks beautiful.
You said that you sell them. Do they sell well? I have been making a lot, but haven't started actively selling yet. I have never done very well selling on fb sale pages. I don't have an ETSY shop- that would probably be the way to go. I have sold a couple of painted windows, a decorated plastic tumbler, and I got a fairly regular embroidery customer for baby bibs and burp cloths. That's about all after 6 years of trying. It's pretty depressing. If I didn't enjoy it, I would probably give up crafting!
Love the way these turned out! TFS another great project!
You always make some some pretty cool stuff....I love it,please keep bringing more for us x
***** Thank you Tigi!
Your very welcome x
love it.i couldnt find crackle polish anymore .this fixes that.
Carolyn Thomason The crackle polish may have seen its day!
Amazing would this affect the size of glass coz I have bezel and glass cabochon wondering if that would alter the fit ?
Love these...Thanks Mona
I love your videos. You keep it short and simple and EVERYTHING is beautiful!
Some tutorials are so lonnnnng! LOL. Great job.
Brenda Byrd Thank you Brenda! It took time to be able to get them short. My early ones were not. I'm learning everyday!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
These are safe to wear and use? They don't split apart with wear?
Really cool! I have to try this! Thanks Mona 😊
ssam2628 Thank you!!
very cool craft
Love it! I'm sure I'll find those glass beads in australia somewhere
Tracy Ratcliffe Thank you Tracy. Try somewhere where they carry floral supplies.
So pretty! Thank you for sharing! ♥
Sugar Splatter Thank you!!
I love your video"s. I wanted to make key chains with these. Would a pendant bail hold it attached to the stone? If not what do you recommend I use?
kathyskrafty Thank you Kathy! They bail will hold for a pendant, but I'm not sure how well they will hold up with the high use of a keychain.
Yeah, thought that too. Do you have any ideas on how to hold it on?
If you used the clear gems, cracked them, and put an image behind them, how would they look?
Loved them
Hi, I'm Spanish and I do not understand English well. ? You said you put twenty minutes in the oven? Or twenty seconds? Thank you very much for all the tutorials you do. I do not miss any.
***** 20 minutes :)
Oh, thank you!!! You're very kind.
Hello, is it necessary or a good idea to finish off the back after applying the nail polish with anything else as a protective barrier? Thanks!
You could. It certainly would not hurt.
use gold or silver leaf sheets for the back
Very Pretty! Each way of doing them came out very pretty. :-)
Denise Mosley Thank you Denise!
Pretty!Love the purple color stone. Where did you get your marble stones at?Love to try this.Tfs.Hugs,Vicki
Vickie Murray I had them, but I believe I bought them from Dollar Tree. You can also try craft stores, in the floral department.
You go girl!
btw you got a thumbs up from me
+xyzvision Thank you so much!!
Pretty!
You said you use it as a necklace by gluing on a bail, however I have been using E6000 and it does not hold. What glue do you use? TFS!!
KawaiiBijoux Yolanda Hunter I like to use the Weldbond. I have a love/hate relationship with E6000.
CraftKlatch
Do you purchase that at a craft store like Michael? If mot where do you purchase yours? Thanks for answering
KawaiiBijoux Yolanda Hunter Yes. I think they just changed the color of the label to silver, but usually you can find it by the mosaics. If you can't find it, ask and they should be able to lead you to it.
These are really neat, i am going to try this with the glass stones i have.😄😄😄😄💭💬🐥
haley spina Yay! Let me know how it goes!
Really, the glass doesn't blow up or something when dumped into cold water?
Great idea; smart.
+Sheri Epps Smith Thank you Sheri!
Have you ever tried to put these stones in the microwave? Do you know if it'd be alright to put them in the microwave?
+Janet No I have not Janet. I would think it would be okay, but I haven't tried.
I really miss your video!!
I'm still posting! RUclips just isn't letting you know. 😢 Here is my latest: ruclips.net/video/vLt298_OLug/видео.htmlsi=rzd8q8cSbLsDN_h_
Where did you get the ring piece to put on the stone
so cool !!!
Thank you!
Very unique effects! I like it, but I'm concerned if it breaks, then I'll have sharp edges exposed. A possible "ouch" in the making!
Garden Guru None of the ones I cracked broke. They still seemed pretty solid, but I guess you never know.
I would love this to use this in my polymer clay but baking this in the oven with something like nail polish which is flammable
I don't know how you could make that work.
You should sell these Where do u get the pendent hook thing from ?
You can find some at the craft stores in the jewelry section. They are called bails. I have some linked from Amazon, along with written directions, here: craftklatchwithmona.blogspot.com/2015/04/diy-cracked-marble-nail-polish-jewelry.html
that is really cool thank you :) - Ruthie
Pople BackyardFarm Thank you!
can u do a tutorial for holographic painted cabochons? :)
Jie Yi Are you thinking holographic nail polish, or paint?
Where do you get your bails?
drpepper8280 Sometimes I can find some good ones at the craft stores, otherwise I buy them online, from Amazon.
awesome
+Jessica Lyons Thank you Jessica!
Where can you get the larger ones?
+Ta'Aisha Anderson In the floral departments at craft stores, otherwise Dollar Tree sometimes carries them.
this doesn't pertain exactly to the video above. I have been trying to glue half colored marbles to my bathroom sink and every glue I use "lets go" I used what said for glass and ceramics but to no avail. suggestion? I wanted it to be waterproof (of course) and mildew resistant
+Beth Lowe I think you might want to check at Home Depot. They may have contact cement or some type of epoxy that would work.
Try E600 that stuff is so good!
Can I have a list of what you need please?
You can find it all here: craftklatchwithmona.blogspot.com/2015/04/diy-cracked-marble-nail-polish-jewelry.html
I can finally get rid of my glass pebbles!
+LostPeopleOfEarth158 Perfect!! :)
