but honestly edges used to be like a dainty frame for the face and somewhere along the way they turned into push brooms. I have a friend that does the softest edges, she sweeps the ends right back into her hair and it looks so pretty and soft.

White girl here , I totally agree. I went to a hairdressing college as a model and some of the hairdressers were poc. I was fascinated by the styles they were creating with such confidence and effortlessness, they saw how interested I was and was like girl sit we will show you. They were so willing to let me take a look into the techniques they have perfected, slowed it down for me and explained everything to me. It was a genuine honour.
