RIP Sid. Inexcusable that they didn’t induct him into the HoF while he was still alive.
Im sure he'll get in now.
Vader actually contacted the company about 3 or 4 times. He informed them about his condition of Congestive Heart Failure, and if they were to put him into the WWE HOF, to do it soon, while he was still alive. WWE never got back to him.
@@alanguages Damn.
Sid was the perfect package just as mentioned, the sheer size, the traps, the intro music, intensity, the crowds ate it up
Legit, the traps, the height, the tall black boots meeting right up to the black kneepads.. the dude looked like a super villain.
Especially 92 Sid. From a package point of view Sid had “it”.
Sid during his initial WWF run though was insane looking, he probably had the best tone to his muscles in the attitude era but he was a real monster.
Especially when he turned on Hogan when they were fighting Flair and Undertaker
Sid is easily HOF worthy. I always saw Sid as a star. His injury from wcw was the most brutal injury I remember seeing throughout my childhood.
"The Ruler Of The World".. Psycho Sid voice.... Loved his WWF entrances giving everyone a fist bump on his way to the ring even tho he was supposed to be the bad guy
It's laughable that he isn't in the Hall. Especially looking at some of the other "top stars" that are already in.
Yeah, he's easily a HOF'er... Bet he'll be inducted soon
He’s going into the Softball Hall of Fame
Yeah, he is on a short list of people to have held the WWF and WCW title. Also a short list of people with multiple WrestleMania main events, which by the way he was only at two WrestleMania and main events both.
I LOVED Sid. There was just a believability factor about him. Huge, muscular, weird ass but just screaming promos. To me he was always money, even as a kid watching
Damn right
WHO’S THE MAN?
Truly the embodiment of what a professional wrestler should be; huge, intense, great ring presence.
As a kid, he was the one wrestler I got scared listening to lol like I truly believed whatever he was angry about 😂
@Steve M especially when he said "because I rule the world!" Lol.
Can you imagine seeing Kevin and Sid in their prime getting out a car? Holy crap.
Had to have been a truck or van!
And a guy like meng or orndorff would dogwalk em in a fight. May be scripted but some of those wrestlers are tough tough
@@loscoolarrows5903 I'm so sure they would simply ''dog walk them'' you never really hear about Kevin and Sid getting into a fight and that might be a good thing for the other party. I would probably safely say that Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley would dismantle Meng and Orndorff because that is another level of skill, not to mention the genetic qualities of those two. I hear stories about Meng but he it's always against drunks in a bar. Not saying he isn't some superhuman combat machine but back then Brock and Bobby weren't around.
@@loscoolarrows5903 LOL Meng is the biggest fake shit in the history of the industry. Same with Orndorff. Neither of those guys were anywhere near as tough as the stories made them out to be.
Sid loves softball
As a kid, Sid was easily one of my favourites. So believable.
Are you serious? I must have half the brain that you do.
True... he was a monster
Very
Sid would have been perfect to play Sabertooth in an X-Men or Wolverine movie.
Said that exact thing for years. ESP from mid 90s Texiera Wolverine
Ironically the guy that played Sabretooth in the first X-Men was Nash's old partner Tyler Mane.
@@rl318 I used to think that was Test from the WWE until I found out later who really played Sabertooth.
HBK as Thor, Ken Shamrock as Wolverine, Bret Hart as Cyclops, The Rock as Gladiator, Kurt Angle as Captain America, Hogan as Thanos, Sid as Sabertooth, Vader as Juggernaut, Yokozuna as The Blob, Austin as Red Skull, Mankind as Mr. Sinister, Boris Malenko as Omega Red, Ultimate Warrior as The Hulk, Vince McMahon as Dr. Doom, Triple H as Iron Man, Ric Flair as Magneto, Andre The Giant as Galactus, Kane as Master Mold, Undertaker as Apocalypse.
@ R L always thought he was great when I saw him in the first X-Men movie.
Sid for the hall of fame for sure
Sid admitted that he has a half of a brain that takes stones to admit it
“Can we start this again”? “Sorry we’re live pal” 😂
"Cos we both know that you're only half the man that I am... And I've only got half the brain you do!"
@@MaYoRofSMACK That was classic!🤣and the look on Scotts face when he heard that botch
Sid is in my top five of all time. People are too hard on him. Shawn vs Sid rivalry is epic from 1997
Sid was clearly eclipsing Hulk Hogan in every way during his first WWF run.. but they decided to turn him heel the WM8 match Hogan could be the babyface..
Not the greatest worker but a perpetual star and multiple world title holder
Man your comment brought back memories..i start watching wrestling in 97 because my grandma was sick and i had to stay with her in the house and sid vs shawn was the arc i started..sid looked like he was gonna kill shawn
While I am surprised at someone saying Sid is top 5 all time, I always really liked Sid so with a 2nd thought I don't question it :)
Preach
R.I.P Sid, but Sid was right he was more over as a heel. He was the original babyface heel, he paved the way for Stone Colds brutish bad guy hero bravado. That aside imagine pulling over a car and asking the people to step out of the vehicle to see Kevin Nash and Sid Eudy step out of the vehicle...
I get the impression HBK tries to sabotage the first powerbomb from Sid like he did with Diesel, so on the 2nd one, Sid just grabbed the tights and planted him lol
That second powerbomb on HBK was picture perfect.
I always thought HBK fed Sid too much on the first powerbomb, and that Sid picked him up with too much momentum. Either way, it definitely looked cool on TV at the time. We were less cynical about botches back then.
@roccoz2231 that's what *really* happened of you look closely. Shawn clearly went up with too mich momentum
In person, when I bumped into him while living in Marion, Arkansas, Sid was a nice enough guy. Not the most outgoing human being on the planet, but fairly pleasant.
I was a huge Sid fan. WCW and WWF. Still love watching his old matches. Just brute strength.
Lord Humongous
Sid legit scared the shit outta me as a child. I remember i couldn't sleep one night after Raw thinking he might show up and kill my family 😂
🤣🤣
Yep, I was scared shitless
😂😂😂
The Sid/HBK feud was some of my favorite televison as a kid.
Sid should be in the HOF..
He should have been a top 10 heel of all time
I ran into Sid at an ECW show during his cup of coffee there, just a massive man. Like walking next to a moving statue from antiquity. Huge and solid.
Sid had a great look, and fans always connected with him, but a legend tells it he liked playing softball more than wrestling. He had all the tools to be a wrestler except for the desire.
Side rules!!! The crowd loved Sid. Glad Kevin had good things to say about him.
Every time I see Sid I think of Sabertooth from marvel
Apt comparison.
@@BigBlack81 he looks exactly like the character. Would have been perfect casting
@@dwoodstwin Jason Momoa be damned. 😂
@@BigBlack81 I could definitely see him do it too. I just hope they get the character right one day. Less mindless brute more cold blooded serial killer
That’s crazy talk! 😮 I can see it.😅😅😅
Worst power bomb you gave was against the giant. When he accidentally landed on his neck. Im glad for both of you he wasn't seriously injured.
The Giant gained like 50 pounds. Kevin didn't have a problem executing the move before
500lbs about and could barely wrap his arms around him
Giant’s belly at the time prevented the Giant from fully rotating
It was Giant idea for the Powerbomb finish....Nash didn't want to do it because he knew Giant gained alot of weight. Last time Nash Powerbomb the Giant he 475 ish. And. buy Sold Out 98 he was over 550. Big difference, especially for a move like that. It was Nash idea to hit Giant with a low blow and the coffee to the face. And Nash & Giant practice that spot earlier that day and Nash said let's leave the Powerbomb out tonight. And Nash also said his back was killing him the later on that night after Sold Out ended.
@@l.d.1724
1) according to Show himself, he barely glanced 5-bills and that wasn’t until he was several years in at Titan Tower… when he came back for the Rumble and looked like an egg with legs, arms and no neck…
When he was The Giant he was likely never over 400 even near the end
2) Hogan had Paul thinking that Nash did it on purpose but fatigue and sweat were the likeliest of culprits. Nash’s tank wasn’t always known to be deep depending on the tempo of the match, plus most of his career he was dealing with a messed up leg. Wights weight may have played ~a~ role, but there’s no chance that he was 500+ at the time, just like he isn’t actually 7’3 (7’) Andre wasn’t 7’4 or 7’6 (7’1) and Kane, Taker and Nash aren’t 7’ (6’9, 6’8 and 6’10 respectively from each of their own mouths)
It was a bad accident but thankfully it didn’t end worse than it did for anyone, especially Big Show
And Hogan was the same guy that told a young Undertaker that he dropped him on his head when there was a mile of open space even at normal speed, so I can see him trying to stir the pot with Nash and Show
Sid looked amazing with the Jerry curl, and square chin.
Scott nortons powerboats were different. The torque he used to do it with. My god.
Was just gonna comment this! I watched Norton powerbombing
Chavo on Nitro in 1997 just this morning. Norton is by far the most underrated and underutilized nWo member of all time; he was the ultimate enforcer- intimidating and loyal #4Life.
Power boats??😂😂
@@ironman2326 only noticed that! Thats autocorrect for ya
@@jaydubya1488 oh man I remember that one. Dude got whipped down at like 100mph lol. Poor Chavo. I think Norton shoulda been the one to end the streak. They gave him a little push that summer or the following summer against cruiser weighs, Hugh Morris and Ernest The Cat Miller. Hilarious stuff and he was so believable. He has 2 good matches against Goldberg. Really brought it to him and if Norton was on a hot streak he coulda been a very entertaining champ. He was 1 of the only 3 Americans to win the IWGP Heavyweight championship.
THANK YOU, Scott Norton never gets any talk, memory or respect it seems. That man in WCW / NWO was a BEAST. That dude looked like he could have broke you in half by looking at you. Totally never got the push he should have. Big, bad and mean af
Sid was always one of my favorite heels. He was very believable and I always thought he was half crazy back then.
Sid is my favorite softball player
Sid ruled the world.
Sid is definitely one of my all time favorites. His powerbomb was the best. Back in 2012 I was hoping he would get signed for one last run before he retired. He deserved that.
Sid is still my favorite wrestler after all these years!
The Giant gained a lot of weight Nash was very gentle and safe with his jackknife powerbomb
Sid was a beast and one of the top heals back in the days, i love this old wrestling talk
Only real problem with sid was his stiffness and no-sell most of the time. He also made it too obvious when waiting for a spot. That always bothers me watching his matches - everything else was great. The entrance, the way sid took everybody up with ez for the powerbomb, lovely stuff.
He may have been the worst at telegraghing his spots but outside of that he was without much doubt the man.
Great look, size, played his character perfectly, loud pops, solid wrestler for a big man etc... Only weakness was lack of Mic skills, but the fact he had everything else. I think it can be overlooked. Still shocking he's not in the hall of fame. Especially when guys like the bushwackers and the barber beefcake are in. Him and Luger should be in. I get why Lex isn't, but never heard of Vince having beef with Sid.
There is nobody who went through late 80's and 90's wrestling who didn't think Sid was the best heel. He had the pure aggression expected.
I don't know how accurate this is, but I heard that Sid's wife comes from a very wealthy family so Sid will sign up for these shows/appearances and then up and decide he just doesn't want to do it because he doesn't need the cash
Sid said he was trying to hurt Pilman because previously Pilman had refused to take the powerbomb, i.e. claims it wasn't an accidental botch. Although, if a dude is suspicious that you're gonna hurt him with a powerbomb, I think you're really just confirming his suspicions if you hurt him with a powerbomb.
In Survivor Series 96, Sid gave HBK the most absurdly gentle powerbomb ever on the outside. Got his hands underneath Shawn's back and basically guided him slowly to the ground.
HBK had a bad back at that time he was trying to push through it but he ended up needing extensive time off
That powerbomb was the rumble 97? I remember that outside powerbomb being that
@@readyplayerone4872 Yes, you're correct. Whereas, on the other hand, I was wrong.
I liked those powerbombs Sid did on HBK, I remember thinking it was brutal as a kid.
I agree. No idea what the emailer is talking about. They looked better than the WM11 one.
Some people call him justice...others call him vicious...I just calll him Sid! - Shawn Michaels
I'd love to hear that promo Big Sexy cut on The Dudley Boys.
I always saw Sid as Sabertooth from the Marvel comics. It felt like he came straight out of a Wolverine comic
Wow me too they never nailed it in the movies ,if only did was younger and could act ,R.I.P Sid the original sabertooth
Sid would have been the PERFECT SABERTOOTH fighting Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
You don’t give me the night off
You don’t give me nothing but respect
I remember meeting you and Scott Hall after a Nitro in Charleston, West Virginia. By far, you are the coolest, most down to earth wrestler I've ever met. It was truly an honor.
Kev has so much respect for Sid!
Psycho Sid is the ONLY wrestler that scared me. I feared him even from the other side of the country! 😳😳😳
My cousin was teaching karate in Indianapolis and he and some fellow instructors met the Nasty Boys and Sid at a bar. They jokingly challenged them to come to a karate session and they showed up! My cousin said the Nasty Boys were having fun with the lessons but Sid stayed kayfabe heel the entire time and scoffed at the karate instructors; my cousin challenged him, "why don't you try this?" But Sid scoffed again and walked off. That's how dedicated heel Sid was to this art, the guy is a legend!
Cool stories man great perspective glad your doing this for us and that growth on your channel killing it
Sid was a tremendous heel for a long time. A type of heel that's lacking. Everyone goes ric flair heel. But near the end of WCW Sid was not the Steve Austin they wanted him to be
"I don't know sh*t! CRYBABY!"
To Bret Hart. 😂
Sid Sycho Sid Viscous Sid Justice Lord Humongous had 1 of the best entrance theme songs in WWF. The master ruler of the 🌎 #90skid #90schildhood
Ill tell ya something bruhther....you replace anything with softball, it doesn't matter, if you love doing it and you make it a priority, despite millions and potential superstardom....thats living brother good for him
I was front row at a match back in 1990, Sid came out, the guy was MASSIVE!! I also got to play on an opposing football team to Paul Wright (Big Show). Thank God he didn't want to hurt anyone.
Nash and Sid are both 7 footers who made a lot of money in the business but who had some bad injuries. With Nash it was the quad issues and I remember that gruesome leg injury that Sid had when he came off the top rope toward the end of WCW.
Sid was 6'9 and Nash was 6'10 and a half, Kane was 6'10 and Taker is shorter than Kane.....point being NONE of these guys were 7 feet tall
True, but Kane said in an interview That he was 6’8
Ironically the best powerbomb I think I saw Sid give was the one with Heath Slater on that raw YEARS after he was retired lmao
Still Sid was great, showed my friends his match with Shawn at Survivor Series '96 and they were in love with him instantly hoping he'd win the match, and luckily for them that was his night haha
I saw Sid powerbomb Jumpin' Joey Maggs, who was 5"8' and maybe 175. You could feel the impact through the TV.
Sid had the greatest look in the history of wrestling
Top 5 for sure. I wish he didn't have the mullet all the times he did
If everyone knows the story behind Brian Pillman , Sid did that on purpose
Sid should definitely be in the hall of fame
I had never heard the Chris Sabin story before. Very interesting.
I was months idle in 97 and Sid did the fist bump thing with me.
I saw him in 92 at Sheffield Vs Taker. He was a massive guy back then. Met him a few years ago and he was a lovely guy as well. Still tall but definitely lost some since his 6’6 peak.
Hay Shawn, Sid did fine. Multi time world champ in both organizations he has his health and he's not dead!
All in all, I would say if he saved his millions he should be set for life and doing fine enough that he doesn't need to do shoot interviews to make ends meet.
And he will be in the Hall of Fame at the same time Demolition, Powers of Pain, and Haku gets in.
I involuntarily popped for "he crunched him both ways."
Sid to me was the true Master and ruler of the world 🌎
I cheered for sid in 91-92 and 96. Loved sid
Sid is THE HALL OF FAME!
Greatest HEEL EVER!
Hillbilly Voice: I think you need a Big Vicious Heel.
How the hell is sid not in the hall of fame by now
If they'd made an X-Men movie in the late 80's or early 90's, Sid would've made an awesome Sabretooth.
Fair play to Kevin saying he gave the worse power bomb and not passing it on
Let's just say it this way. Sid Eudy was MONEY period...!!! He had the look, size, personality, everything going for him. And Kevin nailed it he was his own worse enemy. Would rather play softball then take the business and the position he could have had within it more seriously. Damn shame because i ALWAYS liked him. One of the better big man wrestlers. I thought he matched up well with Kevin when they went against each other.
This interview just makes me like Sid more. 😂
Especially the softball stuff.
*SID* was fckn awesome, intense n a nutter, I like that!
From *NZL* 🇳🇿
I've said numerous times online... When marvel was casting the sabertooth character ... Sid would have perfectly fit the character on sooo many levels !!
Sid is a Hall of Famer. By any metric. Period.
Sid Rules!!!
Sid was getting cheered over Hogan in 91 and then Sid getting cheered over HBK in 1996. He was always destined to be a huge star, he just didn't want it.
Nash’s STTB (stoned to the Bone) stories are hilarious!
I think a faction with Kev, Shawn Michaels, Sid & Scott in WWF would've been Elite.
If you listen to Cornette tell Russo writing stories Russo actually came up with the idea of DX with the same members but instead of calling them DX he called them The Elite 😂😂😂
@@keithharper1470 Really? Those 4? Scott, Kev, HBK, and Sid as a faction? That would’ve been MONEY. Imagine the havoc they would’ve created. Going up against Bret and the Hart Foundation, Taker, Yoko, Stone Cold, etc. Do you have a link to Russo discussing this?
@@theflyxx No. HBK,HHH, Rockabilly and Jessie James
I love Sid. His entrance at Survivor Series 96 is one of the best ever.
"Who' the man?" "You the man!" I loved that exchange between Sid and Vladimir.
Sid should be in HOF, unquestionably. One of the very few to powerbomb both Nash, Hogan and Undertaker.
Nash's Power Bomb Was Amazing but Vicious had an Explosive Power Bomb that was just Flawless!
You can certainly make the case that Sid made a dumb choice for turning down "Hogan's boots" so to speak, but I don't think that he really would have worked out long term as the top face. His look, promos, and everything about him to me he was a born heel.
Exactly, he should have never been a face, a natural heel in look and delivery.
Think about this, Sid was only at 2 wrestlemanias, he headlined them both against The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. The fact that Sid isnt in the HOF is criminal
he had the best powerbomb in the business. Sid was the master of the powerbomb
Sid was one of the few bad guys who was actually scary
Marion, Indiana is m,y my old basically hometown. Really surprised Kevin even remembers that town. They used to have WWF in that town for really small shows a long time ago. Marion and Muncie.
“The worst power bomb that I’ve given” so we forget the giant? Lol
Sid's intensity was off the scale and fans were on Sid's side against Hogan but the man had his problems but he was OVER and he should be in the HOF already!
Sid was always one of my favorites
It baffles me how there isn't a Stoner movie based on Wrestler's on the road
He was legit one of the first tweeners , was a heel that everyone loved
Sid was a family man, he put his family before wrestling unlike so many others and good for him.
Sid Vicious is one of the most physically intimidating wrestlers of all time. He makes Undertaker look soft ( Taker is NOT soft , I know )
No he didn't...but I miss the old sid vicious though
@@StonyBrook-nu1dk Yes he did. I miss his Psychotic ass too.

Love Nash straight up real mfer
Physically perfect for the era. Wasn't best on the mic but could cut a 80s promo. Was a bigman who knew how to work as a big man. I get what he's saying but it's the same issue you deal with. Whenever expectations are not met. Who is really at fault? The one not meeting those expectations. Or those setting the expectations. I tend to give guys like him and Luger a pass. Also shows how special those guys are that can handle being "the man" for a company.
Wait....he isn't in the HOF? So still haven't run out of job guys from the attitude era, I guess.
Everybody knew Sid was a monster.
I had to dig that Wargames powerbomb up on youtube ... jfc how'd that not kill Pillman? 😮😂😂🤣
Hi Kevin and Sean. Power bombs ohhhhh
I love hearing Nash tell a story.
For sure, he’s a good storyteller and has a lot to tell over the years of his career
I'd love to hear Kev's perspective on what it feels like from a mental standpoint or like what goes through your mind when you are taking a move like that but you are somebody who doesn't usually take such things because big guys don't typically get powerbombed night after night on a regular basis, it's a rarity. or like , you're the Giant and you're 500lbs and you never leave the ground and then someone like Goldberg comes along and hits you with the jackhammer and hold you up in midair for a second...i feel like something would trigger in your brain if you're 3-4-500lbs and all of a sudden you just get picked up and thrown around and you're like "what the FUCK! that ain't supposed to be possible"
The jackhammer was a joint effort of Goldberg being a freak and Wight at the time having the core strength and stability to go up in that position and hold it in place
Never in my wildest dreams would i think Big Daddy Cool would mention my hometown.
Power bombs are the coolest move. Used to always make my signature move in those 90’s video games when I played with my little brother (RIP) the power bomb or super kick- sometimes the stunner (I changed it up).
My little brother always was a Nash fan and did the big boot the the face or the power bomb.
I was born in 89 and my brother 92 and we pretty much stopped watching wrestling around 2000 or 2001 but we really enjoyed those N64 games back then.
I know when my brother was in the marines as infantry a lot of the kids were still into the stuff and he often rolled his eyes but we were pretty into the whole shibang as kids and so he chimed in at times.
