- This time Madera travels to the small village of Mecina Bombarón in the mountains of Granada to talk with guitar maker Sergio Valverde Castillo who was the winner of the Granada International Guitar Making Competition in 2017, the first year it was held.
He talks about how he got started in guitar making, his approach to guitar making, his favourite woods, how hard the job of being a guitar maker is, his quest for perfection, he also introduces us to the guitar that won the 2017 Granada guitar making competition and how his guitar has changed since then, he tells us about the guitar making courses that he organises every year... and much more.
A very interesting interview with one of the most outstanding young guitar makers in Granada.

I think your rosettes are very nice and tasteful. Some of the best i have seen. Not to wide or complicated. Your guitars also sound great. I am of the same opinion as far as what sound a guitar should have. Your Flamenco models that i have heard have a very nice sound. Bravo! Thank you Sergio.

Es un poco diferente de la carpinteria, ya hice tres guitarras , lo que mas me costo es hacer la canal para los perfiles y el barnizado .
Me interesaria obtener el plano del puente del modelo de torres la leona .

me habría gustado que le preguntaran de las tapas armónicas y de los usos de otras maderas para aros y fondo: granadillo, pao ferro, ciricote, etc. Gracias!

Hola maestro.Hace mucho tempo que hablando con Gerundino en su tallier en Almeria,El me deciso que no se falta poner renfuerco de ebano al mango,por la misma razon que has esplicado: se desorganiza la madera del mango por nada.El decia que ya esta El ebano del diapason,y que tiene ser bien hecho El conjunto con los aros y nada mas.
